Which one is the beauty and which is the beast?

Xan is used to going it alone. After all, there’s no one else to trust when you’re a demon in the underworld. But when the only two people she’s ever cared about are snatched and held to ensure her good behavior, she’ll do anything to get them back. So when she’s ordered to spy on a hideous, arrogant energy demon, she doesn’t blink…until Quution starts to look less like the enemy and more like salvation.

Quution never cared how ugly his disguise was until Xan started showing up, asking innocuous questions and distracting him with her curves. Now he wishes the beauty knew he wasn’t such a beast. But he won’t let Xan ferret out his secrets. Because he's hiding one that’ll rock the underworld and change the fate of demons forever…if no one stops him first.

The chemistry between them is more than a case of opposites attract. But time’s running out for Xan, and as she gets closer to unraveling Quution’s plans, both will be forced to choose between the destruction of the realms or saying goodbye forever.

HOLY MOTHER OF DEMONS!!!!!!!!!! This is the first book I have read in the series and I need to read the whole series because HOLY HELL these guys are on fire! My Kindle was burning up with steam and heat because man oh man Q and Xan set these pages on fire! Lord I was saying where is the fire extinguisher.

Poor Xan she has a hard life. She is forced to spy on Quution for the evil demons who want to know what he is up to. They have cornered Xan by kidnapping two of her family members so she will comply with their wishes. She knows she is running out of time and she spy's on Quution to see what he is doing. Only when she sees him something else happens between them and she has a change of heart about spying on him but she needs to get her family back so what is she to do?

Quution is on a mission and he is determined to fulfill it. He is hiding a big secret and he needs to finish his task first before anyone finds out the truth. Only one problem is a sexy demon Xan. She makes him have second thoughts about what he is doing. She makes him feel and when the two get together Quution will have to decide whether or not to go through with his plan or take a chance on love.

This is the last book on the New Vampire Disorder series – and my first introduction into the world the author has created; so to be very honest, there were quite a few points in the story where I ended up being lost, since there was quite a backstory I had no idea about.

Did that mean I didn’t enjoy this comical paranormal romance? I definitely got hooked into the book from the start; and didn’t let go until I was done with epilogue.

On one hand, we have Xan, who is sent to spy on Quution or Q as he is commonly known – spying that is done by her reluctantly for she has an evil demon Spaeth pulling her strings.

What she did not expect was to be attracted to this hideous looking demon – this unlikely and definitely unexpected attraction makes for some interesting (read: amusing!) moments that endeared both the protagonists to m, immediately.

On the other hand, there is Quuition – he has his own reasons to be in a hideous disguise – to protect himself while conducting his research on the spells required to close off the human race from the underworld.

But Xan and his unanticipated startling attraction to Xan poses a complication he did not see coming; and one that has the ability to actually distract him from his purpose.

This is more of a slow burn romance – at first, the attraction between Xan and Q is hilarious and makes up for some interesting interaction between them; but when they do end up giving in; it is hot, steamy and with spine tingling chemistry between them.

I definitely enjoyed this hilarious paranormal romance – it is different and definitely very well written + had an amazing premise –
especially to have a first time reader of this series to have this kind of attention and interest to the last book in a series!

Plus, that epilogue? It definitely made sure that while there were couples I didn’t actually know, but it is a series I plan on reading from the start!

Love Q! All that sexiness hidden behind an ugly disguise. He has a plan, along with a few friends and family, to safeguard the human world. But will the beautiful and pesky Xan thwart his plans? Xan is a fantastic heroine. She has to use her smarts to make up for what she lacks in powers. Girl's got skills! She has her own set of problems...saving her family and staying alive in the underworld. Q and Xan are hot for each other and when they finally get together it's magical. I haven't read all the books in the series but the ones I have are outstanding paranormal stories that can be read as stand-alone stories. But like me you’ll want to read them all. This is a great series with amazing writing, fabulous world building and terrific characters. Action, suspense, drama, villains, nasty creatures and a sexy romance. Loved it! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

I have been waiting rather impatiently for Q's story ever since he was introduced as Stryke's brother. This book absolutely did not disappoint. I LOVED his story. Quution and Xan were fantastic together! Who can't help to love a tale about a supposedly hideous demon male and his purple demon antagonist? They played off each other really well, and when they finally came together it was so worth the wait. Definitely steamy!

Xan is sent by the evil demon Spaeth to spy on Quution. Xan doesn't have a choice because he has kidnapped her sister and niece. In the midst of all this spying she has to continually fight the urge to jump his bones. This is set up in several very entertaining scenarios since Quution's hideous disguise to keep the full blood demons from knowing he is a half blood, should keep Xan from being attracted to him, right? Hah! Not so much, and reading of Xan's struggles to not be attracted to him are well worth the read.

Then there is poor Quution. All he is trying to do is finish the spells required to close off the Underworld from the human realm forever. Though he is a demon himself, he has found a loophole so when the spells are cast he isn't stuck down below and will be able to escape to the human realm. It all seems pretty simple, except for one sexy, purple hued demoness that he can't get out of his mind. How will he be able to live with himself once everything is done and he has to leave her in the Underworld, imprisoned for all time?

This is the last book in the New Vampire Disorder series and Marie does a great job of tying up any loose ends. We even get a brief glimpse of many of the other characters from the series in the epilogue. It was a great way to end the series, and though I was a little sad to see it end, the journey to get there was well worth it.

Oh my goodness I freaking loved this book and I seriously need to pick up the rest of the series. This is the first book by Marie Johnston I've ever read and the first book in the New Vampire Disorder Series.

Quution has been in disguise as a hideous full-blooded demon for a long while and has made some enemies. He only has a little time left before his plan to shut all the demons into Hell is complete. The only problem? Xan. Quution knows Xan has been sent to watch over him, but he can't figure out what she wants or who sent her. He also can barely resist his attraction to her.

Xan's sister and niece were taken as captives and Xan will do anything to get them back. Even stalk, manipulate, and seduce the ugly full-blooded demon Quution. The more time they spend together the more Xan is convinced that Quution is hiding something, and she has to figure out what, and expose him before she loses her family.

I freaking loved this book. Xan is such a complete and total badass. I loved her characterization. She's a half-blood demon who despite everything her mother taught her, cares about others. She has a mad sweet tooth that I so related too and an amazingly smart and calculating mind. Seriously she's an amazing kick-ass female character whose mind I loved being in. I enjoyed reading about her attraction build and build for Quution despite his ugly disguise.

Quution has been doing everything he can to help seal the underworld to keep all the demons away from the human world. He has everything planned down to a tee as to what he needs. He never expected Xan and his deep need for her in his life. I loved reading about Quutions thought patterns and how he struggled to keep away from Xan despite his attraction to her.

This book is a must-read. I loved the characters, the unique storyline, and the writing. This whole book was been beyond perfection. Start to finish I was in love with this whole story.

I fell into this one not realizing there were a number of stories before it in the series, but it reads okay as a stand-alone, which was great and also makes me want to explore the rest!

I'm a sucker for a supernatural romance with some jagged edges and some really great world building and this one delivered for me. Psychological warfare, characters that are not at all what they seem, a slow building attraction that explodes once they finally stop denying it - all well done. I really enjoyed this change of pace in the form of a hideous half-breed - Quution - with horns the color of sunset and lilac eyes to match the color of some of Xan's skin. Entertaining, sexy and a quick read. A good one if you like paranormal!

I loved this story by Marie Johnston it’s all about demons in hell who are able to come to the human realm and take over the human bodies. This is the story of Xan and Quution, Xan who is a energy / feelings demon can take what your thinking and turn it into a nightmare good or bad. Xan’s Master for now is Spaeth he took her sister and niece and threatened her that she will never see them again unless she obeys him and what he wants from her is to get close to Quution and find out what he is up to so Xan has no choice for now. Quution is attracted to Xan but he can’t show his feelings or Xan will pounce and Quution has secrets that have to stay that way. I enjoyed this story it’s a fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

An amazing enthralling new take on demons & i loved it . Hell's inner circle has half demons on it for the first time & the full breeds aren't happy . Neither likes or trust each other & would quite happily destroy each other , the latest full breed rising star is Quution , not much to look at but as an energy demon quite scary but he has secrets & others want them . Bring in Xan , a half breed fear demon who to save her sister & niece needs to discover Quutions secrets at any cost . Both demons have issues , mostly caused by their upbringing & of course living in hell doesn't help as most want to kill or enslave you , but both find something unexpected in each other & a harsh lesson is learned when on of them forgets the first rule of being a demon , trust no one .

Unique, interesting and sexy! I really enjoyed the story despite not having read the other books in the series. While there were obviously things I missed from previous stories I was still able to get into this story and the characters. It was a unique world that captured my attention from the first page.

Quution is in disguise and it is hideous,  but it needs to be to keep himself hidden but now Xan
Is sent to spy on him and she has to go save her friends, but the sparks and chemistry are off the charts and these two will find out just what the other is hiding .
This boom is action packed, it has mystery, romance suspense , it has it all.
