Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs.
They allowed tenants to cause in excess of £20000 worth of damage to our property, did not chase when rent was overdue, allowed safety certificates to expire, they just took our money and did nothing.

Run a mile before using Lovetts.

Lovetts are awful and I would run a mile before using them.

After 18 months with them, my landlords have also decided to leave them to my great relief.

Repeatedly useless when I've needed to contact them (friendly, but useless), and they keep interfering with things that they shouldn't be interfering with. Over the course of my tenancy they've unilaterally changed my energy supplier three times and messed my water supply around twice.

When work has been required to the house they've managed it badly - it would be funny if someone want having to foot the bill for their incompetence.

I have spent most of my tenancy undoing the mess that Lovetts keep putting me in.

Multiple times lovetts have got too big…

Multiple times lovetts have got too big for their boots, and threatened evictions without the landlord knowing. Thomas especially in the st neots branch. His attitude is disgusting

Hi there, we don't currently have any tenants by the name of Sally, however I'm pretty sure I know who this is from. With this in mind, I would suggest that any complaints are sent to tim@lovettsalesandlettings.co.uk - however if this concerns an issue with a recent AO appliance delivery, I think it is fair to say that the 'Sally' is unfortunately misinformed in terms of her understanding of her obligations as a tenant of a private rented property.

Awful experience with letting agents

Awful experience with letting agents ,
Unable to contact them for a week at a time , no communication between landlord , then and myself .
Landlord let’s himself into house at his own free will , with no help from them .
Really terrible experience.

Hi Rob, I'm sorry to read this review of your time as a tenant - we are open 7 days a week, so am surprised you were unable to contact us for a week at a time?

Could you please email us your details to info@lovettsalesandlettings.co.uk so we can look into this, as we are unable to do so without an address or name?

Kind regards

Very poor letting agent

Very poor letting agent.

This property was under Just Let's who were quick to do maintenence and pretty much left me alone to live my life.

These people take an age to do repairs. Three months for a leaky radiator. The patch repair to the blown plaster and decorating still isn't done.

I feel harassed they do an unusually large number of inspections. Shame nothing useful comes from them.

Viewing not honoured

I sent an email on Friday for a house on the market for 8 days asking for a viewing. I never got a reply back. I called and booked a viewing for Tuesday afternoon. I never received a confirmation email (checked all my emails and junk folder). I received a phone call 2 hours before my viewing to be told thay an offer has been accepted and I'm not allowed to view the property or make another offer. It would have been nicer if the arranged viewings were honoured and not cancelled 2 hours before. I don't even know if the seller knew that there is another viewing in 2 hours already arranged. I do understand that no more viewings can be booked after an offer is accepted, but I'd find it more polite and even beneficial for the seller to honour the arranged viewings. If the seller decides to accept the offer, I would expect the agency to ask them to honour the arranged viewings (especially those within some hours only). Also, some better organisation (answering to emails, confirming viewings etc) would be very much appreciated. I cancelled all viewings I had with this agency to save my time and money.

Hi Adriana, I'm sorry to see you've left a 1 star review. I know you and your partner were disappointed not to secure the property that you wished to purchase. Unfortunately on this occasion, the vendor decided to go with another offer that they felt was better suited to them. This was all explained to you in a partcularly thorough email from our Sales Director (see below), so I'm disappointed that you have decided to leave this review of our company, as I feel it is unwarranted.

"Hi Adriana, When we met at the property on Monday I mentioned that we had 3 viewings that day and a further 9 viewings on the Saturday and we would be reviewing all interested parties on Monday. We received your offer by e-mail and was followed up with a phone a call by Alex this morning to confirm the financial situation/position of his offer. We received several offers this morning following the viewings on Friday and Saturday, all of which were put to the seller for their instructions. We were asked by the seller to obtain all interested parties’ best offer and they would make a decision based on this. All parties including yours were called and given the opportunity to increase their offer if they wanted to on the basis this would be their final offer. Once we had obtained all revised offers these were then discussed with the seller for their decision. On this occasion unfortunately yours was unsuccessful as the seller decided to go with a higher offer.

The market in recent months has been unprecedented with the shortage of properties and a large demand so this situation has become common place. As an agent we have to do what’s right by our seller but also make it as fair as possible to buyers to give everyone the same opportunity as each other. If we sell to the first viewer we are left with several unhappy applicants who didn’t get the opportunity to see it and likewise we have to draw a line somewhere to end viewings as to not let the first viewers hang on too long.

The price on this property was an asking price, however, when there is multiple interested parties it is common for properties to achieve above this if people feel the property is worth more to themselves. Some agents use ‘offers over’ or similar but this could be where a property is priced more keenly – such as ‘Offers over £350,000’. If a property is marketed for a high price then sometimes this can be negotiated down, this is most common when the market is quieter or a property has been on the market for a longer time than average.

I hope this clears the situation for you and sorry Prab was not successful on this occasion. Of course, if anything changes with the property we would be back in touch again.

If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch."

Professional, Friendly and Informative

Lovett's are a really professional and informative estate agents. They were very responsive to all queries, kept in touch regularly, and were able to adapt to new ways of working during the pandemic. Their staff were really friendly too, which made contact with them really pleasant. Would certainly recommend.

Everyone is very friendly and…

Everyone is very friendly and approachable. They only loose one star because they are not local. I've rented before from a local agency and they came to the house and explained where everything was etc etc which was nice for me as I'm useless. This time I had to work it out for myself 😊😊.

Lovett Sales and Lettings- Lovely…

Lovett Sales and Lettings- Lovely Estates agents with Lovely people. David and Rosie are just wonderful. Despite initial troubles of getting our mortgage offer because of status being self-employed, they demonstrated uncommon patience. The follow up on everything was top of the range. I would do business through them again and again.

Our experience with Lovett Sales & Lettings could not have been better!

From when our offer was accepted, to picking up the keys we were thoroughly impressed with how Lovett handled the process. David and Rosie were so friendly, helpful, and proactive. As first time buyers, and unaware of the process, David kept us up-to-date throughout. All of my questions were answered immediately, and David and Rosie went out of their way to make sure we were prepared for every step. Our experience with Lovett Sales & Lettings could not have been better!

First time buyers...

My partner and I were purchasing our first home and it was a drawn out and stressful situation over 10 months, however, I’d hate to imagine how much worse it would have been without Lovett’s help, especially our agent David. He was always at the end of the phone, night or day, Monday to Sunday, to go through our issues and his proactive-ness to push things along was brilliant. Easy 5 star and will definitely recommend to friends, family & anyone seeking a similar service. Thanks for all your help!

Great work from a great team!

From our initial viewing through to completion, our experience of buying through Lovett was first class. David and Rosie were always friendly, helpful and exceptionally professional. They reacted quickly to questions and queries that we raised. Buying a house is a stressful process but we couldn't have asked for anything better from them. Great work from a really great team!
