The lawsuit centers on the “fat” console that had an Other OS feature, allowing customers to transform the system into a home computer run on another operating system, such as Linux, according to the lawsuit. Sony announced in 2010 it would drop the feature, according to the lawsuit. Sony did not immediately respond to a request for comment. According to a website for the plaintiffs, Sony denies any alleged wrongdoing. Those who submit a claim must have used the Other OS feature, knew about it or believe they lost value or desired functionality after a change in support of the feature was made, according to the class-action website.The money for customers is connected to a $3.75 million settlement fund, a court filing listed with plaintiffs says.The deadline for submitting a claim is April 15.
