A CELTIC-DAFT grandad has become a viral sensation after typing up a list of tongue in cheek rules for his granddaughter's wannabe suitors.

Amie McHugh, 21, was in stitches after she was told her boyfriend must be an 'RC Celtic supporter' who's happy to foot the bill if they all go out together.

The Celtic-supporting beauty, from Airdrie, was also told her potential beau should be well off, own his own car and never look at another girl.

Grandad William stopped himself at ten rules in total but warned there may be more - signing off the message "ok that's it so far".

Sharing the WhatsApp list of strict requirements on social media, Amie joked: "Howlin at ma grandas rules for ma boyfriend."

The message has become a viral hit, racking up more than 6,000 likes since it was posted on Saturday.

Daniella Bonner said: "I am crying I think I'm in love with him."

Another Twitter user added: "The first four rules would defo be ma granda for anybody."

Caitlin Dempster: "I keep rereading this I;m so in love w him."

And Peter Alexander joked: "That's me with my daughter. She never listens tho."
