Dolphins Waive Three Players

According to Joe Schad, the Dolphins have waived DE Jeremiah Valoaga, QB Luke Falk and CB Dee Delaney

Falk, 24, was selected with the No. 199 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2018 draft by the Titans. According to OverTheCap.com, he received a four-year, $2,608,832 contract that includes a $148,832 signing bonus.

Falk was among the Titans’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and was later claimed off of waivers by the Dolphins.

During his four-year college career at Washington State, Falk threw for 14,481 yards while completing 68.3 percent of his passes to go along with 119 touchdowns and 39 interceptions over the course of 42 games.

Valoaga, 24, signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of UNLV back in 2017. He was in the first year of his three-year, $1.66 million contract and set to earn a base salary of $465,000 this year when the Lions cut him loose.

Valoaga re-signed to the Lions’ practice squad and was signed to a futures deal for the 2018 season before being waived at the end of the preseason. He caught on with the Dolphins practice squad in September and was signed to a futures contract for 2019.

In 2017, Valoaga has appeared in nine games for the Lions and recorded five total tackles and one sack.

Delaney, 24, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Miami in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract but was waived coming out of the preseason.

Delaney was on and off of the Jaguars’ roster before eventually being claimed by the Dolphins in December. He was later added to their practice squad.

In 2018, Delaney appeared in two games for the Jaguars and Dolphins but did not record a statistic.
