Freak was the seventh book in the Fallen Lords MC by Winter Travers. It picked up exactly where the last book left off.
Carnie was twenty when she walked into the MC clubhouse asking for protection. She had been introduced in a previous story. Freak was a patched MC member and one of the last three single brothers so he was tasked with guarding Carnie.
I enjoyed both Freak and Carnie. He was eleven years older than Carnie so he had some issues with age. Other than that, the push and pull was minimal and the drama was contained to the threat against Carnie. It was a predictable storyline but enjoyable none the less.
The MC suspenseful plot was a carryover from earlier books; however, it had been a while since I had read the book that detailed the conflict so I was pretty confused with some of the players at times. I preferred a quick summary from Travers to be brought up to speed so as not to miss anything. Additionally, there were several editing errors. For that, I rated it a 3.5, which rounds up to a 4 on this rating site. Aside from the those two items, it was a quick read and I enjoyed it.
True to form for Travers, the craziness within the MC Old Lady’s was out in full force and added quirky humor to the storyline. The MC Brothers’ bantering also added its own brand of humor while providing teasers for what’s to come. Slayer is next up and Travers brought us quite the cliff hanger so I can’t wait.

One of the last single Fallen Lords has fallen Head over heels for Carnie. Freak is assigned to protect Carnie when her and her sister are being hunted and he is OK with falling for her except when one glaring detail comes to light. The Fallen Lords should have known to deal with Bobby the last time he threatened their club. Carnie is smitten with the quiet man with all of the tattoos. She is thankful that he is assigned to her and she doesn’t mean to deceive him but when he finds out he tries distancing himself from her. Will Freak be able to move past his hangups about her deception and protect her from Bobby?
I absolutely love the girl gang and how well Carnie fits in with them. It also made for hilarious times when Carnie and her sister were inundated with their family. I can’t wait to see who is the next Fallen Lord to fall. I highly recommend this book and this entire series!!

I am loving this series ! The MC gang of men are sexy, funny, badass and fall hard when it comes to their ladies. The connection between Freak and Carnie is evident right from the start but they begin as friends and that right there is so sweet and sexy. Carnie is a bright young woman that has made a bad choice in the man department which has now led her to the Fallen MC doorstep for protection. She is sweet, sassy and always speaks her mind . Freak might have become enamored with Carnie and her girl next door looks but as soon as he gets to know her that is when this poor Fallen Lord actually falls!. Of course we are once again treated to a visit from all of our favorite characters from this series !! Great job Winter !!!!

5 FREAKING GREAT STARS!! Wow, Winter Travers has done it again. Freak and Carnie are perfect, their story will keep you flipping pages. The book is full of action, steam, girl power and love. If you haven't start the Fallen Lords what are you waiting for.

Woot Woot!! Okay, I said at the end of the last book some girls showed up and didn't know who they were.... well I remembered as soon as they started talking. Never thought we would hear from them again.
This is Freak's and Carnie's book. Carnie was in one of the earlier books and she dated for a couple weeks a real jerk. Said jerk got away and Carnie along with her sister ran to the Fallen Lords MC for help after he had broken in their home and threatened her...
Now Freak doesn't know what to do with a young lady who is super sweet and a darn good cook....
The way this book ends is with another cliffhanger but don't worry....all the books in this series is out....

Another great read for us in this on going series.We absolutely love the characters in this on going series.This story was filled with love and laughter and a whole lot of suspense.
For me Freak is what I call a easy going guy for the most part and does what he suppose to do without question or complaint and also is sweet and kind and caring but, make no mistake threaten someone he loves or cares about and he is done right lethal.
I loved Carnie she was one of those wholesome girls who was quiet and a little bit shy but, was not a pushover by any means but, she was also full of sass and made you laugh.I love how all of them fell head over heels in love with her over her amazing skills in the kitchen.
Freak and Carnie were perfect for one another an had some serious sparks between them even though Freak chose on one or more occasion to ignore them. Carine's age difference and innocence where a constant problem for him but, Carnie is not one to give up when she wants something and Freak is what she want's and she plans to make it happen as soon possible.
We loved the character's in this story and the old ladies made this story so much fun and they made us laugh out loud more than once and they are just totally awesome and we just love them so much and are a great treat for us in each and every story in this series.
This was really a sweet romance story that moved slowly as they became friends before lovers and we loved that the chemistry and attraction was there all along and they acted like a couple in a lot of ways only not in the true sense until one or both stopped fighting the attraction once and for all.
Overall we loved this story from cover to cover as it was filled with a ton of suspense and had great characters that made you laugh out loud.I loved that Carnie's family was a little bit outrageous.We loved that by making the wrong choice the first time around lead you to a new life that was filled with an abundance full of happiness and most of all love.

Freak and Carnie are so great together that it’s a wonder that these two doesn’t see it. Freak has watched his brothers fall and never really gave a thought to his own demise (pun intended) until Carnie comes needing help. In her he see’s his future but it gets derailed when he finds out her age. Too bad that Carnie is someone who knows what she wants and will fight Freak until the end unless he finally realizes that age ain’t nothing but a number. This story is beautifully told and well written I loved each page from the start to the finish. Winter has done it again, she made you love the characters in her head and has once again proven that no matter what LOVE WILL PREVAIL!!!!

Freak is one of my Favorites in the Fallen Lords . I loved Carnie with Freak , age doesn't matter.Carnie and Freaks relationship was a bumpy ride with all the tension , but it was written in the stars for these two to be together. I loved the trip to the waterfall and Carnie cooking for everyone just brought all my Favorite fallen lord characters back into the mix . I love this series .

Carnie and her sister find themselves in danger when Carnie’s ex leaves her an unexpected gift. Looking for protection they go to the MC for help. Freak is assigned to keep an eye on Carnie while she is in danger There is an instant attraction between them and they start to grow closer, that is until Freak finds out Carnie’s age. Carnie of course refuses to allow their age to keep them apart and pushes Freaks buttons to the point he can’t deny his feelings. And lets just say they really turn up the heat.
The story is told in alternating POV’s and all of the secondary characters were great. I had so many LOL moments with the club girls. Carnie fit right in with the group, she was sassy and spoke her mind to anyone. When things take a scary twist the night of her birthday the MC gets shaken up.
Can they keep Carnie safe? Can she and Freak get a HEA?
Overall I really enjoyed this book, I had so many LOL moments. All of the secondary characters were great, especially when her family shows up unexpectedly. Once I started I didn’t finish until I was done. We end with a lead into the next book in the series about Slayer and boy is it a good one. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. 1-click and get started now on this great series.

Oh my gosh!! Where do I start? I love this series. There is so much going on and you get past players as well so you are kept up to date. Alice is plain Alie. I loved getting to follow her here as well. It is well written and on pace. I felt like I was there with this with its descriptions. Thi8s is book seven int he Fallen Lords MC and it picks up right at the last book.
This story follows Carnie and Freak. When Cranie and her sister wendy head to the Fallen Lords MC for protection the girls are gifted Freak with Carnie and Slayer for Wendy. Carnie is a good girl and loves to cook. Hse is being hunted by her former boyfriend Bobby. When he threatens to kill her she runs to the Lords because they helped Mayra.
Carnie is a force to be reckoned with. I love her sass and her fiery spirit. Especially when she is cooking and when she wants answers. Just right when the spatula meets Wreckers’ hand.
Freak is a good guy with a great attitude until he finds out Carnie’s age. Yes, Freak, freaks out a little bit.
I loved the bond the guys have and the humor they toss out. The woman and their girl gang are still going strong. I liked how there was enough drama to keep you invested and enough humor that it didn’t get to be too much. The people affiliated with them have strong bonds as well and we have some mob people here as well. The Lords are respected by their people. When Carie and Wendy;’s family show up because they feel something is up that is hilarious. Those women are too funny. Oh and how Freak gets to be known as Freak….just read and find out

Outstanding read, even if it is rather mild compared to many other MC reads. I loved this book, the story line, the characters. There was enough action, intrigue and heat to keep you reading straight through to the end. Freak is really a wonderful guy, although he doesn't see himself that way, and Carnie, she's young, beautiful and full of sass! Something that Freak really likes, just as much as he likes her. He wants her, but wants to take it slow, knowing that she is a little freaked out by Bobby's attempt at threatening her life. She and Wendy are now under the care of the Fallen Lords and by that, they are under the watchful eyes of Slayer and Freak. Freak get's Carnie and Slayer get's Wendy (and those two are so attracted to each other, but neither wants to be the first to make that move..thus...they keep calling each other my some different name...they are a trip). But when Freak freaks after hearing that Carnie is only 20 to his 31 years of age, she takes it upon herself to make the first move. But things take a dangerous turn on Carnie's 21st birthday and someone may not make it out alive.
This is really a great read and I highly recommend it as well as the series!

I can’t get enough of this series! By the 7th book I’ve now grown attached and developed a relationship with this series and I love getting to know another couple while also getting updates from the couples in past books! Carnie is seeking help from the MC after she finds out her ex-boyfriend is after her. With the MC agreeing to help, Freak is assigned to Carnie as protection, and over the course of time and spending that time in close proximity, an attraction and then a relationship develops. In all honesty, I feel that Freak’s reasoning for backtracking the relationship was pretty dumb, but also knew that he would learn his lesson in time. Overall it was a great read and I can’t wait to see what happens with Carnie’s sister!

YEAH!!! This series continues to be an amazing binge read! I highly recommend reading these all together - tho they're great stand alone stories, the interconnected plotting is amazing to read all at once!
Freak has been a prospect through the series & is the latest member to patch in. We met Carnie in Boink, when she & her family became friends w/ Mayra. I loved the pacing of their story - Freak is ready, willing, & able to be the next Lord to find his ol' lady, and he feels like Carnie could very well be that for him. They get along really well & develop a great rapport, until some surprising information throws him for a loop.
There's drama & lots of steam, as well as lots of laughs! Karmen is really the Meg of the series & all the girls have some strong SASS. I love it!! (Also, we get to see more of Leo & I really do enjoy him!)

As one of the few unattached brothers, Freak is assigned to protect Carnie when she and Wendy show up at the Fallen Lords Clubhouse with a threat from Bobby. They've dealt with this jerk before. The consensus is that they should have dealt with him permanently the last time he messed with the club.
Carnie seems such a shy thing but appearances can be deceiving as Wrecker and the rest of the team find out. She fits right in with the girl-gang. As innocent as she actually is will Freak be able to get past her age for what they both want? Or, will they even have that chance with Bobby on the loose?
Once again Ms. Travers treats the reader to humor, steam, and characters we have come to love. Another winner in this series and I can't wait for number 8.

OMG you know when you get your hands on the next Fallen Lords MC book your in for a wild fun ride. Freak is one of the only few single guys in the MC and is given the task of guarding Carnie. When you throw into the mix the Girl Gang then Carnie’s mum, aunt and dad turn up and you have an absolutely fun action packed story, that will keep you entertained from the start till the very last word. This series just gets better and better with each book, even though each book is about a couple having the whole MC involved in each story just keeps the guess to what could possibly happen next, or in case of the girls what could target possibly say or do. The way this book ended I am counting down the days till Slayers book now. Well done Winter Travers 5 STAR READ.

Freak is the only one in this MC who seems half way sane. The rest of them have left me wondering, even the Prez is off at times.

{Freak & Carnie}: TRIGGERS: assault, stalking, kidnapping. Carnie and her sister Winnie we met in Boink and Mayra's story. When Carnie's ex-boyfriend Bobby begins hunting her, the girls make a trip out to find Boink and his MC for help. As soon as Freak sees Carnie, he's immediately enthralled and knows almost instantly that he wants to be the next member locked down. But when he learns her age, he begins to push her away. But Carnie knows what she wants and that is Freak. Let me tell you, aside from the sex in this series and the drama, this girl gang, led by Alice is a mess and tons of fun. They will have you laughing your s$$ off. There's still the normal MC drama, violence, kidnapping etc. It will have you hooked.

Fallen Lords for that matter??? Totally HOT alphas!! Winter Travers has once more pulled us into her MC world and it doesn’t disappoint! Freak and Carnie are thrown together amidst danger and we are on that roller coaster of action yet again! This is another wonderful read.... with wonderful characters and a rich story you will not want to put down!!!

Warning ⚠️: Mc gang, part of a series, insta attraction, cute book, not too long.
Narrator score🎧 ; the narrators did good the preference was great.
Level of steam🔥: the story was kinda hot
Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: The book wasn't sad.. you had some action but it wasn't too much to handle at all.
The book itself📖: it was a cute book to listen to... I liked it as a cute pass time but it wasn't a wow book for sure... it was sweet.

The book itself📖: it was a cute book to listen to... I liked it as a cute pass time but it wasn't a wow book for sure... it was sweet.

Oh wow. This book had me hooked I finished it in one sitting.
I was always intrigued by Freak from when he showed up in books. He was always the quiet and the one listened.
I was really happy to see Carnie again. I really liked her before so was great to see her again. I loved her sass.
I highly recommend this book.

This book is amazing!!!! Freak is one of the single men still left and he wants to keep it that way. Carina is a twenty year old running for her life with her sister. She loves to cook and bake and wants to do it for a living one day. Freak gets the pleasure of babysitting carina while they look for Bobby.

God i love this series.😍. It was so good to catch up with Freak and the boys again. I love the way they banter back and forth between each other and how the women have seemed to work their men around there little fingers. Freak and carnie seem to be a match made in heaven. I can't wait to the next book.

I’m never disappointed with one of Winter’s books. The story grabs you and pulls you into the wacky and crazy world of The Fallen Lords MC.

Loved it!
Wow loved this book Freak and Carnie are hilarious and perfect for each other! Carnie gets caught up with an enemy of the club and Freak is suppose to keep her safe. But feelings get involved and it's back and forth for a while but they make it in the end. Can't wait for what happens next with the club.

I was ready to get my Freak on and it did not disappoint!
We see Carnie develop into her own and see Freak coming to terms that he has fallen for her. Great story, fabulous comic relief in this one where I could keep from smiling to see what the Girl Gang was going to do. A great addition to the fallen lord series.

Freaky Deaky!
As always I jumped right in to this book! I love this author and the Fallen Lords. These men and their sassy ladies. Freak and Carnie were a great fit. It only took Freak about two seconds to get over her age and he was all in. That Slayer teaser at the end ahhhhhh..... I need more now!!!! I can’t wait for his story!

4.75 stars!! I read the rest of the series in less than 2 days I was totally obsessed with these awesome bikers and their women were totally hilarious 😆!!! I got the first 3 books free but then I couldn’t stop so I bought the rest!!! Loved the women they were strong, fearless , crazy and each women were different to the other!!! Loved Alice she was hilarious!!!

So stoked for Freak
This book is everything you want from the Fallen Lords. Freak is somewhat opposite of all the other guys when it comes to a female! Love love this study something fierce. Couldn't stop reading until it was done. This is most definitely a must read!
