THE family of a terminally ill girl branded "ugly" by cruel trolls have launched a bid for her favourite US star Zendaya to record a video message for the youngster.

Brave seven-year-old Kiara Buonomo was diagnosed with brain cancer last year and has been given just months to live.

Throughout her tumour ordeal, animated flick Smallfoot - about a friendly Yeti meeting a human for the first time - has proved a constant comfort.

And the adorable youngster knows every word to former Disney Channel star Zendaya's featured song Wonderful Life - with her parents even filming her singing along before her condition worsened.

Her dad, Aldo Buonomo, told the Scottish Sun Online: Aldo said: "Kiara asked to see the film once or twice a week, but used to go on YouTube herself and get the song on and sing away.

"She knew it word for word.

"But then obviously with the deterioration of her health, she's unable to communicate now.

"Even before she was in palliative care and while she was still mute, we would put it on YouTube and show her the video."

The family are now hoping to reach out to Zendaya herself to get a personalised video message for the stricken seven-year-old.

Sharing the plea online, mum Natasha Kinlan, 30, said: "We now have a gorgeous little princess having stage 4 cancer and nothing to do about it, not knowing what’s going to happen next.

"Now this little superstar loves the Zendaya song - Wonderful Life - out of Smallfoot.

"I know it’s going to be really hard to get this be she would really love seeing her sing to her even a video so can people please share this and help this wish come true for this angel."

Zendaya, 22, first rose to prominence opposite Bella Thorne in Disney Channel's dance sitcom Shake It Up - where the pair played best friends from 2010-2013.

Since then she has gained an Instagram following of 55.7million people and starred in hit films The Greatest Showman and Spiderman Homecoming.

We told earlier how little Kiara was originally diagnosed with cancer after going to hospital with a shaky hand aged six.

Medics managed to remove 95 per cent of her 5cm brain tumour in a 13-hour operation — but this year the cancer came back, and there's nothing more doctors can do.

Her parents made an online account to track her brave fight for survival – but it soon became the target of sick online slurs.

The terminally ill schoolgirl was branded "ugly" by cruel trolls who also told her to “hurry up and die”.

Mum Natasha previously told how the evil jibes left her feeling “sickened”.

But the schoolgirl was then sent a letter of support from her beloved Gers and signed photos of heroes Alfredo Morelos and Andy Halliday after her troll hell.

The letter, signed from Morelos, said: “Dear Kiara, I have heard you are an avid Rangers supporter and you have been going through a difficult time recently while in hospital.

“On behalf of all the players and staff at Rangers Football Club, I would like to take this opportunity to send you our very best wishes and stay strong! Keep fighting.”
