Scots help vote for Top 40 movies of the 90s – including classics Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump and Toy Story – with Braveheart making the list
Film fans took on the ballot for movie and telly streaming service CHILI to determine their favourite flicks
MOVIE buffs in the UK have voted on their favourite films from the 90s - and there's a particularly familiar flick rounding off the top 20.
Film fans took on the ballot for movie and telly streaming service CHILI to determine their favourite 40.
It was an eclectic band of flicks that made the list, ranging from every genre including action, comedy, drama and animation.
Scottish history took its pride of place on the list - as Braveheart came in at No. 19 to confirm Mel Gibson's epic as an official hit.
But Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting - starring Ewan McGregor - narrowly beat its big-budget Scots rival to come in at No. 18 - despite its modest cash flow and realistic, troublesome plot.
Braveheart finished at No.19 on the poll
The streaming service polled 2,000 Brits and it was no surprise to see prison drama The Shawshank Redemption lead the line - just pipping Pretty Woman at number two.
Steven Spielberg classics Jurassic Park and Schindler's List also made the top ten while Titanic, Home Alone and Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction also featured high up.
A number of Disney's also made the honour roll including Toy Story and Lion King.
