A GLASGOW restaurant is serving up steaks and kebabs topped with Buckfast, Grouse whisky and Tennent’s sauces.

Turkish eatery AGA Mezze Palace has introduced the new specials inspired by some of the nation’s favourite alcoholic drinks.

The city centre establishment is offering customers the chance to put a Scots twist on their main dishes.

Punters can choose from Buckfast, Grouse or Tennent’s sauce to accompany their dish, with a selection of steak, kebab, chicken and fish to choose from.

This sign promoting the Turkish cuisine was spotted on the city’s Buchanan Street.

The restaurant is located just around the corner on Dundas Street, near to Queen Street Station.

The restaurant brands itself as "authentic Turkish cuisine" and the "go to place" for Turkish food since it opened in 2017.

It's not the first creation inspired by a favourite Scottish drink this year.
