SCHOOL LOCKERS
Due to the need to reallocate lockers, we will be collecting all locks back from pupils on Friday 19July. Please can you ask your child to empty his/her locker of anything that needs to come home before that date.
Pupils will have to carry any equipment they need for the final two days of term, as their lockers will not be available. If this is going to cause your child any problems, please let Mrs Wilkinson, Operations Manager, know.
Students will be issued with a new locker at the start of the new school year, but if your child has not been allocated a locker in the past, and you would like him/her to have one, please contact the Finance Department to arrange a deposit payment.

VOTING: 2019 SPORTS PERSONALITY AWARDS
This year's Sports Personality Awards Evening is fast approaching, and a limited amount of tickets are available from Reception.
A number of award winners are selected by members of the PE Department, but the main awards (Male and Female Sports Personality and Team of the Year) are voted for by students and staff only.
Please could you encourage your child/children to vote for this year’s main awards; they can do so by clickinghere.
Could we remind parents/guardians not to vote - this will have an unfair impact the outcome of the voting.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to what promises to be an inspiring and hugely entertaining evening!
STUDENTS' ACHIEVEMENTS RECOGNISED DURING YEAR 9 GRADUATION CEREMONY
Awards, musical performances, dance performances, and a guest speaker - there was a jam-packed order of events for the Year 9 Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday night, as students, parents/guardians, and staff celebrated the achievements of our Year 9 pupils.
Kernewek Hall was the venue, and Izzy, Kyran, Jenny, and Kaiya, members of the Year 9 Graduation Committee, were the comperes for the evening, introducing seven different award categories including: the Department Awards, 100% Attendance Awards, Bronze Awards, Silver Awards, Gold Awards, Platinum Awards, and the Dave Thomas Cup.
Away from the award presentations, Professor Stephan Harrison, Climate Scientist at Exeter University, delivered a fantastic guest speech - detailing his inspirational mountain climbs and providing insight into his career. Meanwhile, there were fantastic musical performances from the Year 9 Graduation Choir and Zena, Nancy, Ruby, and Annabelle, before the Year 9 Dancers dazzled spectators with their 'Evolution' performance.
A huge congratulations to all Year 9 students for their fantastic achievements during their three years at Penryn College!
MP VISITS SCHOOL FOR TALK WITH ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB
Last week, members of Penryn College's Environmental Club were visited by the Conservative Member of Parliament for Truro and Falmouth, Sarah Newton, to discuss issues surrounding the preservation of the planet.
Students asked a number of fantastic questions - looking for insight into the government's plans and strategies on recycling, climate change, and much more, while gathering Mrs Newton's personal opinions on those issues.
Indeed, Environmental Club members have dedicated their time to preserving the planet in recent months - planting trees around the school, leading the school's participation in collecting crisp packets and biscuit wrappers for recycling, and much more.
A big thank you to Mrs Newton for visiting Penryn College and engaging with our pupils!
