Buccaneers DB Reese Fleming Reverts To Injured Reserve

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially placed DB Reese Fleming on injured reserve after passing through waivers unclaimed on Monday.

Fleming, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in May of last year. The Buccaneers waived him with an injury designation during the preseason and cut him before a few days later.

Fleming signed on to the Bucs’ practice squad in November and returned to Tampa Bay on a futures contract this past January. Unfortunately, the Buccaneers placed Fleming on waivers with an injury designation last Friday.

During his college career, Fleming recorded 78 tackles, two tackles for a loss, an interception, two forced fumbles, a recovery and 15 pass defenses over the course of 27 games.
