Commonly Asked Support Questions

25 April 2019 Posted in: Uncategorized By: Rume Begum

Here are the questions that were most commonly asked via The Helpdesk during the past month.

Question 1: I need a Turnitin account so that I can check the plagiarism score for my thesis. Can you create me an account please?

Answer 1: Turnitin is to be used for teaching purposes only and an account is only given to administrative and teaching staff who administer/teach a QMplus module. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a Turnitin account to teachers and students for personal use.

Question 2: My student has requested access to a module in the 2017 QMplus Archive. Can you give them access?

Answer 2: Before the student can be given access to the module, an account will need to be created for them on the 2017 QMplus Archive site. You will need to raise a ticket and provide the following information:

  • the student’s username, full name and email
  • the course (code and title) they require access to

Once the account the account has been created on the Archive site, we can then give them access to the the module.

Question 3: I recorded a lecture in October 2018 for the module LAWXXX but the lecture was not uploaded to QMplus. Can you help?

Answer 3: Yes, we can. You will need to raise a Helpdesk ticket providing us with the title of the recording, date, time and location of the recording.

We will then check to see if the recording is available on the Echo360 system and then make it available to your course.
