The trampoline arena will also feature an under-seven's area, kids' trampoline area as well as a parkour space and a multi-level soft play area.

The opening comes after a VIP preview party which featured some spectacular displays from some of the country's leading parkour and trampoline athletes.

This will be Flip Out's first site in Scotland after nearly 10 million people visited its other UK facilities over the last year.

Flip Out Glasgow's general manager George Gallacher said the rising popularity of trampolining boded well for the future of Scottish Sport.

George Gallacher said: "Flip Out is all about fun obviously but the health benefits are a welcome side effect with just an hour of bouncing burning up to 800 calories – the same amount as you’d burn in a spin class.

"We’re so thrilled to finally open Flip Out after a long time of planning and building what is the world’s largest trampoline arena here in Glasgow."
