BENIDORM fans were left in stitches tonight as The Chuckle Brothers made a surprise appearance on the show.

The legendary duo played a magician and his assistant, The Great Crostini & Co, who were booked to entertain the guests – with Barry dressed up in drag.

But of course, it didn’t go quite to plan as they took to the stage at Neptune’s Bar, and tried to perform a trick on Granddad Dawson.

While Paul played the magician, Barry looked amazing wearing a wig and flapper dress as they managed to shoe horn in their famous “to me, to you” catchphrase.

Grandad Dawson ended up getting knocked out as the evening descended in chaos and he fell off the stage.

Those watching at home were delighted to see them back on their screens and feeling rather nostalgic, they took to Twitter to comment on it.

One person tweeted: “It's been so long since I've seen the Chuckle Brothers on telly. It's great to have them back! #Benidorm #ChuckleBrothers.”

While another wrote: “A blast from the past! I can't believe they've got the chuckle brothers on #Benidorm #childhoodmemories 😂.”

And someone else added: “Watching the chuckle brothers on #Benidorm was like going in a weird time warp back to childhood. Was expecting the chuckle vision theme tune next 😂.”

Meanwhile the episode also saw Rob get down on his knee and propose to Cyd following a whirlwind romance.

But his romantic gesture doesn’t quite go according to plan because she rejects him in front of the shocked bar.

Elsewhere, Liam (Adam Gillen) returned to the resort and is filled in on what he's missed by Jacqueline.

She told him: "You've missed a wedding, the wedding guests being stranded on Peacock Island, Kenneth nearly drowning in the ocean but was saved by a Russian Sailor called Vlad who is now his boyfriend.

"Then a dentist tried to kill Kenneth and Kenneth then threw a moody when he realised I'm the new owner of Blow and Go."

Liam replied: "Wow, you go away for two days and it's like missing a month of Hollyoaks."
