Love is something I've always been afraid of so I guarded myself from it. When I met Kam he changed everything. He smashed down the walls I had so carefully constructed around myself. He illuminated a world I didn't think could ever be possible for me, that the dream I protected could become a reality. But Kam doesn't know that my walls are up for a reason.

When I met Alana I wanted her from the moment I saw her. Tight black material hugged every curve of her body. She stood on heels sharp enough to slit a throat. Plump red lips…it was like she was straight out of Maxim—any man's fantasy—but behind the sex appeal, smart mouth, and edginess…is something else. And I plan to peel back every single layer to find out what.

Shelved as 'lost-interest'

I liked this writer's "If I break" series and initially I wanted to read this series, as well. However, now I have learned that this series has a very similar plot line to that of If I break series so I don't want to read the same thing over and over again. Ergo, loss of my interest in the series.

It was original and interesting when I read it first but reading the same thing with another character? Nope... thanks, but no.

I have no words right now! If you are a fan of the If I Break series then this is a must read! The characters in this book are just so well written and the plot has many twists and turns. This will be one of those books that you will not want to put down. Megan and Kam are a sweet couple but Alana and Ian are my favorite . I think that I am going to have to read this book again before the next book in this series comes out in October!

Torn between two and three stars. This books was different for sure but also all over the place. Unnecessary events that only added to the confusion. Will update on book 2.

I’m laying here in bed desperately wishing I could get ahold of part two. This book made me fall in love twice but I have to admit that my heart belongs to Ian . I loved the sweet innocent love between Megan and Kam, but I could feel the crazy chemistry between Alana and Ian . Alana and Ian were the couple who pulled me in and left me wanting more . Definitely #TeamIan !! October can’t come fast enough !!

Have just this minute finished "her" and wow... It was amazing. I'd clear your schedule before reading as I personally couldn't put it down at all. That ending though 😭😭😭 I wanted moooore lol. Cannot wait for next book to come out. Honestly if you haven't yet READ THIS SERIES!!! You will not be left disappointed. Going to go back now and read the whole series again because I'm just not ready to go back to reality lol. Honestly portia, you've outdid yourself 😊

I feel so cheated.

This is a confusing rehash of ‘If I break’ with the roles being reversed. Now it the h who has multiple personalities and the H is her husband, who she left, just like Cal had - and to top it off, the h is related to Cal/Chris/Collin.

I admit, the author is a great writer, and I loved the ‘If I Break’ series, but it should have been left alone and not have been recycled as a new book.

Disappointed.

In Her we meet Megan and Kameron. Megan grew up in the system bouncing around from one foster parent to another. She never felt grounded in life. Not knowing who her parents were bothered her. She feels lost and disconnected.

Megan’s character defines herself by not having been raised by her parents. She considers herself damaged because she was raised by foster parents. I’m so exhausted by these excuses. How times are writers going to use the same backstory to create a damaged character? It’s so over used and unoriginal. Portia didn’t add anything to this storyline to enlighten me.
Megan’s character never met her birth parents. She’s tried to locate them, but was unsuccessful. She’s constantly talking about how she is damaged because she was raised by foster parents. Portia never delved into anything substantial to back up her claims regarding Megan’s claims of being broken. There was no mention of abuse. In fact, she got a scholarship to Purdue University. Not too shabby. I consider that a huge success. She was focused enough on school to get good grades and earn a full ride.

It’s been years since I read If I Break by Portia Moore. I remember enjoying all the books in that series. I’m left here wondering how I enjoyed those books when I’ve only just begun reading Her and can already tell I’m going to be skimming this one.
Where is the writing style and voice I enjoyed from before? Well at least this was a free download. I’m still disappointed considering I’ve read five other books by Portia Moore.

This was a convoluted storyline. I knew quite early on what was transpiring. It’s not too hard to figure out when you have chapters with two different characters.
BTW Her ends on a cliffhanger. Mine is the next installment. I will not be reading the next installment. This was one confusing and implausible.

Let’s face it: love isn’t always magical.
Sometimes love is heartbreaking, often it’s life-changing, and just occasionally it’s hilarious.

Megan avoided happiness/wasn't entitled to ever since she was little. The past is over with, it's time to focus on the future. That's what's important. She can be a part of it..and then she meets Kameron and everything changes.
In the same time we have Ian & Alana – a bond made of chemistry and intimacy. Sweet love story.

This story keeps you interested and emotionally engaged with the characters. We have 2couples here, 4persons, with two stories that are completely separated. Or so it seems until later that you discover we have 4characters in 3 persons, is it?! This twist is not expected and it's well written. But story ends here and we have to wait October to read „His“, the second book in the Her series. Cannot wait to see what will happen with these characters. October can't come soon enough!

Oh man, oh man, oh man!!! THIS BOOK!! Holy Shit!!

Kameron - the rich, gentleman, nice guy
Ian - the manwhore with a love for crazy chicks

So the synopsis is a little confusing right? Well reading this book is confusing. Until it all made sense. I had this little niggle (is that a word) in the back of my mind. I’m familiar with this author. So I had a feeling....

I can’t go into details about this book. Just read it. I will say this .... one of the characters in this book is related to one of the characters in the If I Break series. Haven’t read it yet? Go grab it.

I can’t wait for book 2. I need it NOW!!

As a note: I’m leaving a half star off for the horrible editing. It’s a pet peeve and I can’t get over it. I will edit for free. Seriously.

And for the record, I’m not sure which team I’m rooting for. But I think it’s #TeamBlue 🤔

I have always had an addiction to portia’s Stories since I stumbled on her if I break series. I walked into this read with high expectations and they were not only met but exceeded. I read this book in one night because I could not for the life of me out it down.

If you are looking for a not your typical romance, if you like to think you know what’s coming and still be shocked ina good way then this book is the on for you. You need to add this to your shelf!

I promise you will not regret this read and like me you will be howling for more by the time you turn the last page.

Just finished reading Her!! Thank you Portia for the Arc, you did it again. I love all your books and can’t wait to the next one. Her is about Megan a quiet shy girl and Alana a outgoing no holds back girl. Megan meets Kam on her first day of college, Since Megan keeps to herself Kam has to track her down and she slowly falls for him. Alana meets Ian after a fender bender. She reluctantly agrees to go out with him and they end up falling for each other. Months later all their lives start crashing and we find out their lives are all intertwined.

I just finished Her. I NEED MORE! This story has more twists than I was expecting. I was stuck in this book from beginning to end. I just reread the If I Break series for the third time before reading this, I love how it is tying into the series. Portia is my favorite author and she definitely didn't disappoint with this story. I don't know who I love more... Ian or Kam. I cannot wait to see what will happen with these characters.
Awesome job Portia Moore ❤❤❤

Once again, Portia Moore has delivered a truly unique and thought provoking story. There are so many twists, and just when you think you’ve figured it out, there’s a cliff hanger. Trying to figure out the connection between the main characters Megan, Kam, Ian, and Alana will definitely draw you in, and keep you up reading all night. Since it’s Portia, I’m sure the conclusion will by far outdo any ideas I have on the ending.

HER

I’m so tired of you putting me through so much suspense Portia. I love you for it. As always, good job!! I’m so happy there’s some sort of connection to my favorite series. I’m already excited and heartbroken for Ian, Kam and Alana/Megan.. can’t wait for October.

I love Portia Moore and have read all of her books - however this story seems pretty reminiscent of Lauren and cal...was hoping for a different storyline - characters, as always are likable but there are just so many similarities to the first series

2.75...I really struggled with this one. Besides it being quite similar to her previous book, it was rather confusing going back and forth between characters.

Yikes. This book was a mess. And not the kind that you enjoy reading and can't peel your eyes from. Short review coming up!

The inconsistent story structure was a killer for Her. I feel like had the author outlined a tad better and structured the POV's and chapters in a different way it might have flowed better.  Not only all of that-- but it lacked a lot of editing. Usually I can overlook this but it seemed to keep growing the more you kept reading.

I'm not a stranger to Portia and her twisty books. In 2014 I devoured her If I Break series and when I say devoured, I mean I lost sleep reading those books. But I feel like Her was just not even written by the same author. I felt like it was just a knock off version of the If I Break series. It was inconsistent, messy, and lacked any type of writing flow.

She doesn't disappoint

If you have read other books by Porta Moore and loved or enjoyed them, this on will not disappoint you! If you haven't read her books, I encourage you to do so if you love romance with a twist. I think reading the if I break series first would be best in the long run if anyone was wondering. But 👍 I probably should have known this book would take a turn like it did, but for some reason I wasn't completely expecting it going into the book. I finished it all in one day because I wanted to know how it would end. I wish it was longer to be honest it felt a little shorten and too condensed for my liking, but I'll definitely pick up the rest of the books in the series and I'll probably feel less of that by the end of the series I'm sure.

I love this author. I really like her way of writting, it's very different and she always makes you think.

100% recommended

I loved how this connected to the "If I Break" series. The story plot is similar, but it all comes together in the end. I think it's amazing how many books keep coming from the same story line but follow different people. If you did read the "If I Break" series, this is the answer to the last cliff hanger.

I'm torn as part of this book was very well written and had to turning the pages and other parts seemed all over the place unnecessary. Did not like the way it ended, I understand that there is a second book but this one ended abruptly and left you hanging but not in the way you'd typically expect. I will read the other books in the series and then maybe update.

One of two

Book was a little confusing at first as it switched back and forth between stories which came to reason at the end of the story. Looking forward to a crossover between Meghan and Chris\Cal,s life.

Me encanta Portia Moore y empecé este libro con muchas expectativas.
Me gustó mucho pero siento que ya debería cambiar la formula de sus historias para que no sean tan predecibles. Aun así lo recomiendo
