sadly i regretted buying this. when i smelled the tester on paper it smelled amazing, the pear really came through and i really did like it. i should’ve known better than to buy a perfume without trying it on my skin first, bc now when i wear it i only smell a generic floral scent. after 30-40 mins i can barely smell it anymore and i feel like it needs a lot of spraying before it actually comes through. it’s also expensive in my opinion… yes it’s a 125ml bottle but you need 5-6 sprays twice a day to actually smell it so yeah… buying was not a great decision

youn8ss

Is it really identical to green tea nectarine blossom by E.Arden??

Edit: similar ‘fizziness’ but different nonetheless, if you like this kind of fragrances’ then they might be interchangeable if you want pera granita specifically then they’ll be different

Jadelynn

Performance is keeping this from being a love. This has body mist levels of longevity and fragrance, but at a premium price.

The opening is a beautiful burst of grapefruit that unfortunately is gone too soon. I only get about 10 minutes of grapefruit as the florals start to emerge, and then it’s gone as the fragrance starts to sweeten from the pear note.

The end result is a pleasant, sweet fruity floral that is fairly uninteresting without the added touch of the grapefruit.

Love, love, love!
Very youthful, sparkly and zesty! I love this for spring and summer!
A bubbly version of Sicily by Mancera. The same topnotes, but with a fresher drydown.
Just an allround safe, citrus, amazing scent.

GrenadeGirl

For me this one is a super love!! I really do truly adore the lightweight note combination, it is fruity, subtle, and hugely uplifting!

Straight up - the silage is awful, so overspray plus fabric, and respray will be needed, but in spite of all that I STILL love it enough to have both big and small bottles and it is in regular use. 😊

macawgod

Fresh and fruity! I love realistic fruit scents, a big fan of this one and also mandarin basillic. With the first 3 days of me wearing this fragrance to work I got compliments on it everyday! I was surprised ri hear it since it had been at least 3-4 hours since I put it on and the aqua allegoria line is not known for being long lasting. It’s perfect, not particularly crazy unique but beautiful and pleasant enough, I feel most people would enjoy it and is a safe blind by for those that are a fan of fruity scents

an_baum

remember those kid shampoo bottles that looked like fish and smelled amazing? this is the expensive version of that.

Cazhmere

I really like this one, I don't get the pear scent at all but it smells pretty fresh. I'd describe it as a fruity shampoo.
Feels like you just got out the shower, very nice scent!

louie0800

Love this! Fresh, fruity, and some underlying deep floral notes. I can sense a slight pear note, but it’s mostly just a sweet fruity cocktail topped off with candied flower petals - definitely the refreshing “granita/ pear sorbet” as stated.

However, it’s identical to Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea Nectarine Blossom. That one is much cheaper and both perfumes perform similarly, though I think the EA is punching above its weight.

Fragaddict123

I admit I was worried about the performance since it’s very important to me
Fortunately it delivers a good performance and good quality as well
The grapefruit is the dominant fruit here especially in the top and ending with the pear although not photorealistic like the grapefruit but it wasn’t as bad as some reviews claimed at least to my nose that is
The bottom line it’s ok nothing I’d go searching for just a nice testing scent and I’m moving along to the next one

Shinder13

A safe, fresh floral fruity fragrance that works well in hot weather. Nothing groundbreaking but that's exactly how I like my fragrances. On me I get a lot of pear and osmanthus. I'd love this more if it had better longevity but I have to re-spray after 3 hours.

AkaNeri

Juicy, fresh, at the opening even slightly crisp fragrance! Powdery and comforting in the dry down! Beauty for he summer!

Lunaria820

All i get is pear mixed with grapefruit. A very realistic overly ripe pear... I thought I liked pear notes but now I'm not so sure... I think it might be the grapefruit that's ruining it because in real life i don't like grapefruit but in perfumery grapefruit usually just smells citrusy. I'm not loving it tbh. It's not staying.

Miazinha

O meu favorito dos 3 que tenho desta linha! Super fresco, super verão de tão refrescante que é! Uma pêra que sobressai nada enjoativa e que fixa mais de 6 h, dependendo dos sprays. Costumo colocar de manhã para refrescar.

tuturudka

TBH, it is an amazing summer fresh EDC with lasting power 1 hour. It is a little bit unfortunate to see the price tag and receive an EDC which can be compared to 4711 easily (five time the price). Is it good - for sure! It smells amazingly well and you cannot offend anyone with it. Is it worth it - no, absolutely not. However, I like the bottle and I will enjoy this one in 2023.

Renfragrantica

Fresh and juicy. I just wish this perfume was stronger and longer lasting.

elieju

The first thing that came to mind when i smelled this was that it was a softer, more feminine, pear version of Acqua di Gioia, and honestly I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this, because I compared them side by side and noticed only a few slight differences.
That being said, I really love this scent, especially for hotter climates, and completely agree that it smells like fancy citrus hotel shampoo. Though, the citrus to me is not as prevalent as the pear/ fruit-citrus notes, which I actually prefer.

pennyligeia

Grapefruit madness

Mjames06

Too sweet for me. Headache inducer.

Nanalvzpink

I am not a citrus lover, of course this was a no for me.
Even when I don’t like a fragrance I do enjoy testing the longevity of it. Sometimes, if the fragrance preforms really good, I might even reconsider my likeness to it. Lol
Well… I liked this even LESS because it preformed so bad. This is body spray material.

ava96

This lasted 15 minutes on my skin. I understand it's supposed to be short-lasting but this is way too short for me. The smell is very pleasant though, I definitely don't find it shampooey like some people have said.

Edit: I sprayed it on yesterday and I can still smell it over 12 hours later now. It is very faint and the main part of it did fade after maybe an hour, but I can still smell it. Very interesting. On the second go I do love the scent even more.

raqketa

feminine. fruity. sweet. light. ever so slightly green. smells like many other citrusy-fruity-floral offerings on the market… just maybe slightly better done since it is guerlain. if my collection were low on fruity florals, this wouldn’t be a terrible addition.

corgi02

Top notes are sublime, of course, how could that go wrong with 3 citrus notes? In a few minutes they're gone and you're left with a generic not that pleasant shampoo type scent of a cheap shampoo. How is this still on the market? on the plus or minus side, it's very weak and in a half hour it's gone completely. For me that's a plus, since I don't care for that cheap shampoo smell and wanted it off.

smccmurphy

Simple, citrus hotel shampoo scent. Sharp and crisp, like the perfume version of a well ironed white button shirt.

Fictionberry

Similar to BDK pas ce soir, but pera granita actually has better longevity. Love them both, very fresh and sweet fruity

jeannebelmondo

Pera Granita is a commercial fruity shampoo scent done right. The fruity sweet pear note doesn't smell cheap and the cedar is perfectly balanced with the musks and more masculine citruses, so it ends up smelling like a more expensive take on whatever your favorite drug store shower gel is. Very safe blind buy, and while I can't say it's really that interesting or that it smells high end, it is made by someone with a very good nose.

Mondayz

A lovely little thing! The entire line is quite simple when it comes to notes which I love. This one reminds me of passiflora as well with the grapefruit but passiflora is more tropical. It's a great summer fragrance and it got that raw, non-sweet fruit scent that I like. I'm not a big fan of D&G L'imperatrice as I find it too sweet even for being a fresh fruity scent. This is perfect for me. I would say Pera granita is the most complex out of the line. Such a perfect summer scent that I'll use a lot! I managed to get this heavily discounted and I've never been more pleased. Holds up well on clothing but not as much on skin - about 3-4 hours.

Gellert77

Absolutely love this fragrance!

I understand that the Aqua allegoria line is meant for summer and obviously this scent too works just wonderfully as a summer refresher, although it is a more "perfumey" scent than many (most) of the more citrusy members of the line. This one is sweeter, especially with the first burst, and a more developing scent than, let's say the Pamplune, Mandarine basilic or Bergamote de Calabria members of the family. Some might even say there is a distinct "shampoo" note at the beginning that refines itself as time passes. Of course, as with other Aqua allegorias you need to respray, at the latest by the fourth hour mark.

But what I use this scent for is ... a mood lifter in the middle of winter; January with it's short and cold days when after the holiday season faced with the fact that the spring is quite far, far away... After a hot shower, and/or coming home through the blizzard, this is pure aromatherapy!

I got mine for a ridiculous price - Guerlain is in the process of changing the bottles, so you might find the previous bottles with a heavy discount - grab it while you can, because as we all know "winter is coming", at least as sure as every other year ...

JesScent

I live in humid Florida & I am writing this review in the middle of summer. This scent is divine. I love it so much!! I got a sample from Nordstrom with a Guerlain purchase I made recently, and I was completely shocked at how much I truly loved this scent. It’s not overwhelming but definitely noticeable. Quite beautiful & elegant. The scent instantly brings happiness, a mood brightener for sure, so lovely, dare a say even a little bit sexy.

I love the juicy pear scent with the underlying grapefruit & lemon. I am not good at describing fragrances, but I loved the sample so much I immediately went online and ordered the largest bottle of it. One spray lasted about 3-4 hours on me, and I’m ok with that. I was more than happy to spray myself again around 4 to 5 hours later.

If you live in a hot & humid environment like me, I highly recommend you try this lovely summer fragrance.

Pera Granita is the second Aqua Allegoria in my wardrobe and like Pamplelune, it will always have a space in my collection because of its pure versatility, freshness and ease of wear.

The opening is very reminiscent of pamplelune, it has a bright blast of fresh, realistic, pithy grapefruit, but, the grapefruit is masterfully blended with a healthy dose of lemon and bergamot which further accentuate the freshness of Pera Granita. After about 10 minutes, pear (like the name suggests) makes a grand enterance but its very juicy and almost aquatic in nature, but it never veers into full on aquatic territory or becomes syrupy thanks to the inclusion of orange blossom and osmanthus. After a good 2 hours, a gentle cedar and white musk wrap up the base and finish off the composition, but Pera Granita retains its freshness and the fresh citruses are still present, light but still there nonetheless which makes it perfect for extremely warm days.

The longevity is decent with me getting about 7 hours of wear with a surprisingly moderate bordering on strong silage. Its perfect for casual wear and can easily be worn to the office during the warmer months, it gives an air of freshness and confidence as well which I love. I can't help but imagine that this is what Meredith Grey would wear, its fresh and airy so would work well in a hospital setting but it also oozes confidence as well as being uplifting.
I love this and will repurchase again and again and again

Mirille

It is bubbly and sparkling. I mostly get a juicy grapefruit in the opening. I find it so happy and energizing. The drydown gives me a crisp floral. The scent only really lasts about 3-4 hrs on me though.

emreeryilmaz

Grate the lemon peel. Throw in Osmanthus and some white flowers. This odor will occur. It also smells of a freshly peeled tropical fruit. More like peach peel.

It smells very strongly of lemon and grapefruit. But not harsh. It smells more like the rind of a lemon. Sour and aromatic fragrance. There is no sweet tone.

Persistence lasts until the end of the day. Projection and sillage are average.

This is sparkly and delicate - probably perfect for summer. I don't really get any citrus - a tiny bit of grapefruit but mostly bergamot and a bit of orange blossom with a tiny base of musk, but it might open up more in warmer weather. I like it even so! Very simple, pretty and sparkly juicy.
A safe buy!

Sofia87

The Aqua allegoria line is beautiful and feminine. NATURAL elegant summer scents. Bottles are gorgeous. I wish they were more longlasting. Would buy more if they were more powerful. They are fancy sophisticated intimate edts to me. This one in particular is lovely! The citrus/grapefruit keeps it fresh and the pear makes it slightly juicy sweet. The citrus is not overpowering and they've created a perfect blend of all notes. It dries down creamy and beautifully and the citrus gently vanish into the background. A very safe buy for those who doesn't need loud scents - but for those who wants to smell nice and pretty! I really appreciate an easy can't go wrong, grab and go, feel fresh and lush kinda scent. You never need to worry about it being offensive, cloyingly sweet or artificial. Biggest downside is of course that you have to re-apply a lot. Lasts only for 2-3 hours tops then it's gone. We need an Aqua allegoria extreme absolu line NOW please! Pera granita makes me want to put a floral dress on with some dainty jewelries, soft pink lipstick and curl my hair with soft curls and dance or lay down on a field of fresh grass and florals under the sun! This makes me feel super feminine and happy! I could wear this every day during the spring and especially during hot summer-days.

LinnieR

I like this one a lot for the warmer months. It’s a light, sparkly and fun fresh eau de toilette. Not what I usually go for but something is just very intriguing about it. I mostly get bergamot and grapefruit. Kind of like you had a cup of earl grey with a cut up fruit next to you on the table?
I can’t smell the other citrusy scents or pear at all

theLady

Funny reading these reviews, they seem pretty evenly split. I personally very much like this one, and added it to my collection a few years ago. It's really great when it's hot as balls outside and you just want to smell good. Sure, it doesn't last until the next day, but it's not supposed to. It's a light, fun, feel-good summer-fun freshie eau de toilette. Embrace it! I mostly get a juicy grapefruit, very simple, uncomplicated. Not pear, actually.

Rhiannandb

Wow this is the most realistic juicy red grapefruit smell I looove it. I wasn't ever huge on citrus until I smelt this and Pacific lime by atelier colonge . Instantly needed to add this to my buy list ! So juicy and delicious 😍

chakukan

free sample from Sephora and I need the full size bottle, The scent is sublime and has pretty good longevity, beautiful fresh grapefruit scent with a bit of pear clean fresh outdoors, love love love this scent

ivanda

Lovely, refreshing sweet citrus/grapefruit lightie - not very long lasting, but very nice and no problem to spray it over and over again during the day. Light summer scent for cheerful mood. A bit expensive for the weak performance, but still safe buy if you like sparkly, happy and crispy juice!

mutatismutandis

Pera Granita is a pleasant and pretty perfume. It lasts just a little over three hours so it certain lives up to the Aqua Allegoria name - a water allegory - in its fleeting nature. You get an opening of bergamot, lemon, a little grapefruit, pear, osmanthus, musk and cedar. The sillage is generally intimate but if you get hot it projects more. The scent is fairly linear and the top citrus notes fade to leave the fruity floral heart. It's basically a good mood lifter for warm weather.

Shan101beauty

It is a zesty refreshing pear scent. It is a very light and nice for a hot summer day. However there is a note in this which kind of smell like pee which i do not like. I am unsure what i am smelling but other that its okay.

TheMunchkinlander

I love the acidic yet fresh fruity floral scent. It's fun, uplifting and memorable. However, on skin it is gone in the blink of an eye. On clothes you can barely smell it after an hour or two at most. Great as an after-shower fragrance –don't expect it to linger all day. I only wear it when I have plans in the afternoon that require me to wear another perfume that I don't necessarily want to have on all day.

Atomikbomb_

Firstly, the longevity and sillage are pitiful. This needs to be addressed, because if you enjoy reapplying and find this scent worth the money, it's probably not a deal breaker. This is truly no better than a body spray, and you *will* need to decant and take some with you if you're out and about with any hope of this enduring more than an hour or two (if you're lucky).

With the negatives being stated ^; I find this better than a lot of current releases containing pear these days. This is more crisp, more natural, and strikes as more of a quality fragrance than Irresistible and the like, as if this was the inspiration for many of them. So far, this is the best of the type I've tried, it's just a "truer" pear. It's a "quenching" scent that can literally uplift the mood. Bottled sunshine 😊

I love the citruses, and think grapefruit is the forerunner. The pear is super obvious, and super juicy. There's a touch of orange blossom, that I also think is pretty easy to pick out...while the other notes kind of gel into a general undertone.

I like it, but I'm not paying the asking price for it. Maybe if it lasted longer...

hsiangchi.huang

Sweet, girly, candy-like and somewhat childish...

It's not a bad fragrance if you're going for the "cute" vibe. It's rather refreshing and men tend to like it. I do not smell the osmanthus at all, mostly just sweet fruits.

XXYZZYX

Guerlain Pera Granita has a really lovely opening note on me of pear and citrus, but settles down on my skin to virtually nothing. It smells a lot like the Ouai Melrose Place & D&G L'Imperatrice 3, but without the sour notes that made me dislike those fragrances.

This has terrible TERRIBLE sillage and lasting power, and is pretty much a skin scent immediately but smells really great. If this was an EDP or a considerably stronger EDT, maybe I’d consider giving this fragrance another chance, but the longevity is absolutely terrible. Really lovely scent, very poor lasting power.

mhobol

Opening: Synthetic sweet sour pear, dry down - oh, wait, maybe.... no, it's gone. Both from the skin and the mind.

Seducianne

This is an upbeat, uncomplicated summer scent. I get that there is a Pamplelune already in this line, but perhaps this could have been a Pompelmo Granita / Jus de pamplemousse or something, because I find the name is a little bit misleading. Yes, the pear is there, but it's way underneath the grapefruit.
The overall feel is that of a citrus which is not excessively sour and instead warms up in a more fruity-floral territory.
Not groundbreaking, I think it would make a great fragrance for hot weather. If only it lasted longer...

Siv7Stars

This is a fairly pointless offering. Start off quite synthetic, but does at least get slightly fresher n sweeter. Pear predominates over v mild white flowers n maybe a tiny amount of musk, but it disappears in a hour. Yawn n you'll miss it. The quality of this whole line is so hit n miss. This is a miss, obvs.

colorfulmess

Love the Allegoria line, and was so excited to try this. the descriptions just seemed fresh, juicy and lovely but on me it goes all wrong. It reminds me of frozen tropical punch in the can with an undernote that is quite unpleasant on me. It smells like zucchini and fruit juice. This was so bad, I had to wash it off.

Cherry_Darling

I'm getting loads of fragrant juicy pear and osmanthus, Not getting too much citruses, although I am used to the really realistic zest of the likes of Moschino I Love Love. I really love this one. Unfortunately I won't be saying anything new here that the longevity is pretty bad, I'd price this at about 15£ / bottle because of that. It's gone in five minutes. Sadly many of these Allegorias are similar in lasting power however I must add I'm in London and these scents might be better in tropical climates where the humidity and heat make this more wearable and intense. I know in the heat, you really need to tone down the intensity.

Malleable

I'm not really getting much of a pear from this, but rather a grapefruit. It's a nice enough scent but I don't like it enough to buy a full bottle.

kkaattjjeess

Received a decant of Pera Granita and I love it, will most probably purchase it in full size (thank you @gelkita)!

I was pleasantly surprised with the longevity, it lasts 5-6 hours on me which is more than what most other reviewers reported. I also own Limon Verde from the Aqua Allegoria line, which lasts way less than Pera Granita.

I wouldn't say pears stand out as much (to me at least), it's a grapefruity-floral, fresh and comforting scent.

Frangipanilove

This is a middle of the range Allegoria, not the best not the worst. The grapefruit is quite intense on opening but dies down a bit. Its more aromatic than I would have anticipated based onto the notes. Its difficult for me to sense the pear, which is a softer, sweeter scent, its overpowered, on my skin, by the sharper notes of the citruses (grapefruit and bergamot is what I get most). It seems to have weaker longevity than some of the other allegorias. Its fresh and tangy, a lovely summer scent. I am happy to use up my bottle but will not be repurchasing as some of the other allegorias are better in my opinion. I was hoping for some soft candy pear but this is more grapefruit - different from the pampelune however. I have to say, this has the worst longevity of any Guerlain I have ever tried, its barely noticeable after an hour or so.

AnaisLouLou

This has been my favourite one so far. I ordered Pera Granita, Herba Fresca and Passiflora (Limone Verde is on its way). More skillfully blended than Herba Fresca and Passifora. I can detect grapefruit, lemon rind, white florals, pear, musk and dry tea (tea before it's seeped). Maybe, the latter is the osmanthus. It smells like an expensive perfume (still a skin scent) but, light and Summery. Lovely!

gmaster

I am wearing this fragrance right now - well actually, I was wearing it since it is barely decipherable. I really enjoy this eau de toilette. If only it lasted longer. I think it lasted at most an hour... I somewhat expected for the longevity to be very poor (which is why I only purchased the 10mL travel size) but not this much.

On a positive note, the fizzy pear is pleasant and clean. A fizzy summer perfume that lightens the mood instantly. IF ONLY it lasted longer.

Henglertdavis

Sparkling candied pear that is fresh and dripping of sweet juice. Love how it settles as time passes. This fresh scent cools you down and lifts your spirits up.

KBSW

I'm on a quest to find a warm weather fragrance that is feminine without being sweet and I got a sample of Pera Granita with a Guerlain purchase. It smells like a delicious fruity cocktail. I definitely get the pear, especially in the opening, but what I love is that it stays fresh and fruity without turning sweet and flowery (or 'perfumey') on the dry-down. I get what ana hen says about the cat pee, it must be the pear because I detect the merest whiff at first spray, but it doesn't even put me off! What stops me buying a bottle is the longevity, but maybe my expectations are unreasonable for a fresh, fruity scent?

kateclarkecosmetics

Citrus green tea. The end!

katsong

This is really sweet, rounded, fruity scent. I'm thrown off by the name because it doesn't smell like a realistic pear to me, instead it reminds me more of a candied pear. I think if it was named something else, it may have been a love at first sniff, but because of the name, I was thrown off my expectations. Still, in hindsight, I think this is a very pretty, sweet, girly perfume. The combination of the fruits with the osmanthus rounds it out, making it more floral...and less crisp and watery. This is not a bartlett pear or asian pear. If oversprayed I think it could get a tiny bit cloying, but thankfully it's not possible with this concentration. The dry down reminds me of Bvlgari's Omnia Golden Citrine.

anna-fie

Very nice and fresh scent.
Like shampoo-fresh.

flowerbomb81

Fresh, fruity sparkling cocktail scent. Smells just like Moschino I Love Love which you can get for about £20 for a full bottle. I own both and they are almost identical! Nice for a Summer's day, although for me I won't repurchase either as I am not a fan of fruity perfumes.

BrittneyN

First blast was overwhelming Grapefruit, but after a little while it mellows significantly and turns lush and fresh. After the drydown I get an almost lemon cupcake smell. It's lovely, but I definetly do not detect any Pear whatsoever.

SailorV

At first I thought this should rather be called Pamplemousse Granita, because it opens up with an intense grapefruit. And for some reason I also smelled an unlisted dewy rose note in this each and every time I tried. The overall impression is a sugared pink grapefruit.
After a few minutes, the titular pear comes out and blends in with the citrus. It's very crisp and cool, not as sweet as in many other scents with a pear note. The other notes are very subdued, this is all about the fresh fruits.
Pera Granita is a lively, sparkling scent, ideal for warm days as it's super refreshing. I don't feel like I need it, but I'm not a citrus enthusiast. If pear and grapefruit are both among your favorite notes, you should love it.

smath778

When I first got this and tested it on the skin, I got guava in the opening. I love guava, it's my favorite fruit in the world, but I'm not sure I want to smell like that. And it's definitely not what I want from a pear perfume. That citrusy tartness stayed throughout, and I got only a hint of pear.

Today I tried it again. Fresh out of the shower, I moisturized with a heavy cocoa butter lotion and this over the top. The opening is still citrusy guava to me, but after about 30 minutes, I started getting this gorgeous soft creamy pear, and I love it so much. This is going to be a go-to combination for me this summer. The sweetness of the lotion brings out the pear, and the freshness of the perfume lifts and brightens the cloying sweetness of the lotion. Together they make a soft subtle, creamy, fruity, just yummy skin scent. PERFECTION!

So if you're struggling with this one, try pairing it with a sweet gourmand-y body lotion to round it out.

codymarieb

This scent is refreshing, citrusy, fresh, bright, cheerful. The opening is quite citrus, while the heart contains more floral and the dry down is softer and muskier.

Quite pretty, and if I was one to wear bright citrus scents I would buy this for sure!

sibaraa

This is so beautiful. It's like you just picked up a fresh pear from the tree and juiced it, then put a few drops of honey in it. So delicious smelling and extremely natural. I dont mind spraying this over and over. I get why they didn't put a lot of ingredients to better out the longevity, it's for the sake of keeping this line so natural smelling.🥰🥰

Nancy83

It's not my favorite from the Aqua Allegoria line. I would have loved a pear centered perfume, but this is not what I'm looking for. The grapefruit and bergamot take a lot of space, I don't think the pear was the star, for me it's more citrusy floral, not the pear sorbet or even fresh pear floral like I wished it was. It starts as a bergamot tropical scent, then citrusy floral, maybe too musky for my taste, then it gets woodier, after 4-5 hours I barely can smell anything. It's not the worst perfume ever, I will finish my sample, I will try it more, but I think I can found a better pear perfume and for a citrusy floral, I'm pretty sure I have perfumes I prefer in my collection.

Edit: I finished the sample and I found out I quite like it, in a very safe way. Like I've said I feel the pear is too in the background, but I smelled it better now after a couple of tries. I don't know if I will buy it, but I enjoyed it.

LightOfJoy

I love pear as a note and was so excited to find an Aqua Allegoria focusing on it. Sadly, all I got was a dry, tart grapefruit from start to finish. Not interesting and not much pear at all. It might make a good layering scent for a grapefruit lover.

12/1/19 - at first spray, I got a sweat note. “Oh, noooooo...”, I thought. I was already planning on when and how I’d return it.

Then I let it settle. In about a half hour, I was swooning - I love this EDT! The best way I can sum it up is it starts fresh and crisp but ends up being powdery-floral.

Back in my youth, I used to wear a frag by Laura Ashley named, “Emma”. The most recent Emma doesn’t smell exactly like what I remember and wore 30+ years ago. But Pera Granita reminds me a lot of the original Emma.

Pera Granita would be a safe pick for a gift for someone who likes very feminine smelling perfumes because it’s so innocent.

Because it’s so florally-sweet, be careful not to overspray or you may risk offending others around you. (Go slow with it until you find your comfort zone too.)

Top: grapefruit, bergamot, lemon
Heart: orange blossom, osmanthus, pear
Base: moss, white musk and cedarwood

- My hubby loves this fragrance! He was instantly enamored. I agree, it is a lovely perfume. I'm usually not into oakmoss or orange blossom but they aren't overpowering here. It smells like grapefruit in the opening phase. Very uplifting and elegant smelling. The pear comes around and adds juicy sweetness. I like it and might pick up a bottle.

I simply adore pear and grapefruit

On paper, this could have been the perfect summer in Miami scent, but oakmoss, which is present even at the opening, turns this into shampoo.

At it's heart, the pear is clearly the main player here. Pera Grantia has a bit of that fleeting B/O facet of Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Bianca, and it also has... wait: I still smell like shampoo

The drydown... Who am I kidding, I've lost interest since the shampoo opening. I wanted to try it because I respect the house of Guerlain and because the price was very attractive, but I'm going back to Jo Malone Pear and Feesia (which is in my view, pear perfection) or Hermes' Un Jardin Sur le Toit.

Coquita

Pretty summer fragrance, though I wouldn't call it pear sorbet. We're well past the 25°C here, and what I got out of trying this was the following: it opens up with a huge blast of grapefruit that gradually tames to a softer, sweet smell. I thought it was some kind of rose or camelias, but I guess it's the pear note. Then, the musk comes up, giving a slightly sweaty feel, but not in a disgusting way. These scents play around for the rest of the dry-down, overlapping, with the sweet pear being the most dominant.
The projection is soft, a bit more than a skin scent, and the staying power is around 6h.

I gave this fragrance whole two shots and sadly, it didn’t seize to impress me even after. Very light citrusy combo with a note of pear hit me with some disturbingly “sweaty” accords within first minutes after spraying (the infamous “cat pee” as someone below noticed). In the course of time it develops more towards sweetness of pear, but still remains a very plain uninteresting scent. Orange blossom is barely present (or at least I couldn’t distinguish it). I fully acknowledge the whole Aqua Allegoria range is all about simplicity, but sadly for me, there’s nothing fresh and attractive in Pera Granita.

This one opens yummy with capital YUM. I swear it’s the exact smell of passion fruit nectar for making cocktail.🍹🍹🍹 🍋 🍐 This is a dead-on passion fruit to me, despite the notes saying citrus, pear and florals. But it makes total sense because the smell of passion fruit always translates to me as tangy, sweet and a little bit floral. So when you put together tangy citrus, sweet pear and jammy osmanthus, I get a sophisticated mist of passion fruit. The cocktail reference is totally accurate as well. This is quite a floral fragrance. The floral notes gradually take control and add a tinge of bitterness to the mix, just like the taste of alcohol. And because of that cocktail vibe, I get the Escada perfume reference as well. However this smells better than all the Escada perfumes I have tried. I find the sweetness in this vibrant, comforting and authentic. It also dries down to a nice, apricot-ish floral.

This is the strongest and most fruity one so far from all the Aqua Allegoria I have tried (Flora Rosa, Rosa Pop, Rosa Rossa, Teazzurra, Herba Fresca, Limón Verde). I can’t stand majority of the sweet and fruity scents out there (MJ Daisy Love almost made me puke), but this one draws the line for me.

Now I look forward to smelling Passiflora, the actual passion fruit perfume.

I love pears so I was hoping I would like this. Alas, this is very very green and a bit soapy on me. This is strong no for me but my sister does really well with green fragrances and while this is green on her as well it smells nice so I am passing this one on to her.

I always go for orange, lemon or grapefruit scents alone but when I saw this at the shop and read that it was pear i was quite sceptic. I tried it on and fell in love with it. The at the first sprits the grapefruit scent was prominent. As it dries down, the pear starts to linger. I love the clean combination of the pear and greapfruit.

justfloral

Pear + pomegranate! (wine-y redberry note, I smell astringency of crushed pomegranate seeds too) + grapefruit + fresh cut nettle leaves? (or other weed).
Nice, sunny scent.

SaraX

I love the pear note in scents and in this one there is a lovely very fresh and sweet juicy pear note that dominates this scent for me together with the flowers.

It's hard for me to belive that there is only supposed to be orange blossom and osmanthus as flowery notes in this, since I think I'm catching a lot more and even the ad for this has so much more flowers displayed in it.

The citruces in this are not overpowering in this one and I don't feel like this could remind anyone of an air refreshener or toilet cleaner smell (so often associated with citrucy scents). The pear and flower notes also keep this from becoming too after shave like.

This is a very nice refreshing and slightly sweet scent dominated by the lovely pear and some floral notes, the citruses keeping this fresh all the way.

Just starting my own little collection of scents. I just received a bottle of this. I now have 3 Aqua Allegoria’s and so far this is my favorite among them. I’m a sucker for fruity scents. This is sweet citrus and pear juice in a bottle. I feel happy sniffing it, but I would imagine not wearing it everyday. It’s not as fresh as the other two Allegoria’s I own: Herba Fresca and Flora Rosa. Perhaps some layering would work as a go-to. I’m in love.

Some of my very favourite summer perfumes are Aqua Allegorias, and so I'm always glad at the chance of testing a new one, even if I haven't fallen in love with any of them since 2014's Limon Verde. Unfortunately, Pera Granita is no exception: it's a nice, well-made fruity floral, fresh and just sweet enough, and certainly perfectly suited to a warm summer day like today, but there's nothing special about it. The pear note is dominant to my nose, and it's pleasant enough but just a touch synthetic. Longevity and projection are moderate at best. All in all, I don't dislike this scent by any means, but I'm definitely not especially enthusiastic about it either. Worth a try if you're particularly looking for a pear scent, but of little interest otherwise, I'd say. Too bad!

gelkita

I quite like Pera Granita. It’s ok, nicely sweet, unfortunately longevity is poor...
However the longevity is boosted till half the day when layered under Nerolia Bianca (also an Aqua Allegoria)
I’m addicted to this combo, it’s smells heavenly.

Iwet

Fresh and young. After the first grapefruit blast in your face, the scent becomes gentle and little bit sweet, but not sugary. I feel so, so refreshed wearing this one.

PricklyAndHot

Unintreresting citrusy fragrance. I don't lke new fragrances of this line already for a long time. Too simple comparing with the old.

megpie

To me this is more sweet citrusy than it is pear, although I do get pear after a good dry down. It makes for a wonderful light summer scent and I’ve been told I taste delicious while wearing it.

cocolover56

Pera Granita might not completely scream pear sorbet to me, but I do kind of like it all the same.

I sit in Melbourne on the steps of an old post office, on a Spring morning at 10am and have gotten two compliments. I'd compliment someone if they were wearing it. It's quite pretty. The grapefruit at the start is quite screechy at the start; but it dries down to a nice pear / jasmjnr type of scent. Try it, you may be surprised.

VanessaMerie

Disappointing, boring, lacklustre Grapefruit, Pear.
Pretty bottle though.

OTA Mom

My least favorite from the AA series. An unpleasant chemical rendition of what is supposed to be pear.

sarage

I've tested some of these Aqua Allegoria scents and admired the bottles, wanting to find my true love among these.
This is it! I love pear in perfumes and in Pera Granita pear is combined with citrus fruit, and that creates a soft and yet fresh aroma.
I could swim in this..
This is a very happy scent, a mood lifter. This will be my spring and summer scent.

clariella

Picked this up a few days ago, and even if it's winter, and this is very much a summer fragrance I really like it. Can't wait for summer try it in hot weather. It reminds med a bit of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, but a bit more citrusy. Fresh and summery, but still a bit more grown up than some other similar scents.

juman

very fresh yet elegant perfume especially in hot weathers . it's perfect during summer days .I liked it sooooo much and recommend it . Unfortunately it doesn't come as a perfume only toilet so you must spray it all the time.

oceanbreeze

I LOVE this scent! Yesterday I tried it in a store along with several other Aqua Allegoria EDTs and this one I really, really like. But the price... 75ml for $72... seemed too high to me.

FabulouslyLazy

Even though I don't hate it, I partly agree with you @cassiemand.
I got a sample of this perfume and I think it's nothing glorious or special, because in a way it ended "disturbing" me. The pear is the protagonist alongside the citrus notes, it's a sweet citrus (not a citric citrus) with a pleasant opening...but at a certain point Pera Granita started to become more and more subtly insistent, kind of insistent to my nostrils. Personally, I never ever thought that one day I'd say an aqua allegoria can bother me because they are very light and airy. This is still airy and sparkling, but at the same time has something different from the others. More synthetic maybe? I don't know...what I know, though, is that I still haven't found an Aqua that can beat Herba Fresca.

Skinscents4Fusspots

I tested this out yesterday and at first it smelt delicious - fruity and sweet, but still fresh. After less than an hour it was making me feel nauseous..... The Bergamot and cedar had come out to play and it was intense, bitter and cloying!

If you like Bergamont then you'll be fine, but I HATE it so I found this perfume extremely disappointing. I couldn't get rid of the smell until I showered the next day (I washed it with dish soap the night before!) which I guess means it has quite impressive staying power, even if the smell that lasts is nothing like the initial pear-filled fruity joy!

Lissa1991

I like this one - a pleasant, yummy, fruity, sorbert-like smell. However I find it quite uninspired, I just have the feeling I probably smelled it a hundred times before. I can't find any particular trait that would justify the price or differentiate it from most of other fruity-florals on the market. Nothing bad but nothing remarkable as well.

auroramaria

This is truly lovely, I got a sample with a purchase I made and used it all in one go.A perfect citrus slightly sweet fragrance great for spring and summer.
It's rather light so one needs to re apply during the day.I especially love the freshness of the pear and the musky dry down A great Aqua Allegoria

Arlene-Beatrix

Light and fresh, grapefruit scent with a bit of lemon, pear, orange blossom, subtle musk and green wave of moss. The whole composition is full of harmony and tranquility. I've loved it at the first sniff! :)

Update: I can tell you that it smells greatly on a skin, like a soft citrus, all the time. I can feel like I was in a blooming orchard. Just lovely!

ana hen

It's fruity.bright.juicy and for my taste way too loud and sour:(((.I can feel pomegranate , cranberries and musc.
On my skin it was at first some kind of pomegranate sorbet and after short time just turned to cat pee.not like old cat pee , like it happened with "pompellune " ,but also not pleasant :).

Sad ,cause it just chemistry of skin and I so wanted some fruity watery new edt..

andalucia lover

It's like Guerlain took all of my favourite notes and combined them harmoniously in one bottle! I love osmanthus, pear and citrus. This is fruity, fresh and enthusiastically tangy! It's energizing and perfect for summer. This is divine.

ScarlettX

Pear sorbet describes it perfectly.
I like that, it's so light and natural smelling, but an elegant scent as well, a product of quality.
Most of the perfumes from that line are outstanding.
It's very pleasant to smell, summery, sweet and fruity, almost sunny fragrance.

Elokitty

Délicieuse eau pour l'été et le printemps ! Je trouve l'odeur très addictive :) bonne tenue pour une eau légère

Finally it has arrived!! The Pera and the travellers exclusive Rosa pop. Pera Granita is my favorite of them both by far. I didn´t know the notes when i have tested it, so based on the smell only i imagined it to smell almost exactly like a pomegranate. I guess, looking at the notes now, it is the grapefruit and lemon and orange blossom combined all together. I did smell a bit of something soft and i guess it is a mix of osmanthus and pear, but what i like about it is that they are not dominant and not overwhelming. Not sweet at all and not like a pear note in a most of latest fragrances i have smelled.

It lacks sadly the longevity and good projection, but i like it anyway. It is still snowing here where i live and the weather is chilly, so i guess this fragrance needs a different type of climate or weather. Still will be getting this one, since it is YUMMY!

Update (june 2016): after wearing it several times full time i have made a decision that i do not like it that much in the summertime as i liked it back then in the winter. In the heat pear becomes too dominating and sweet, almost unbearable to me. Too chemical to my nose.
