The Sacramento Promise Zone is a cross-sector initiative to revitalize 22 square miles of Sacramento’s highest poverty communities through collaboration in five core areas: Health, Education, Jobs, Economic Development, and Sustainably Built Communities. Promise Zone partners are connected to a network of private businesses, engaged residents, community-based organizations, and all levels of government agencies, which works to coordinate resources, build capacity, and drive revitalization.
Since the beginning of the Sacramento Promise Zone in 2015, more than $110 million in financial support has been invested in Sacramento’s most disconnected neighborhoods.  As our Promise Zone designation came with no funding attached, this amount has been reached solely through the collaborative efforts of our partners; this partnership now includes more than 150 private, nonprofit, and public sector organizations.
