COWS thrown from a tractor's trailer made a real pig's ear of their escape this morning by running straight to the nearest McDonald's.
The cattle were accidentally let loose when the trailer transporting them flipped over on a roundabout near the McDonald's in Mold, North Wales.
Bemused onlookers caught the fleeing herd on camera as they charged over the road, causing chaos in the area.
North Wales Police posted online: "Police are dealing with an incd on the roundabout nr McDonalds at Mold, whereby a trailer transporting cattle has overturned leading to traffic congestion - please avoid the area and take an alternative route."
Members of the public wasted no time in making jokes about the livestock leathering it down King Street in the town centre.
One of the commenters said: "What a moosance".
In spite of their bid for freedom the cows didn't have anywhere to hide, and were eventually safely rounded up and put back into their trailer.
Nobody was hurt in the incident this morning which lasted less than half an hour.
Adam Mason shared a video of the haywire heifers on his Facebook page which quickly clocked up thousands of views.
This is the third time in three years that runaway cows have caused chaos in Mold.
Last year cows escaped from a farm in the town and trampled a businessman's garden, leading to a criminal damage prosecution, and in 2015 an escaped cow brought traffic to a standstill before it was recaptured.
