Hunting For A Killer Who Doesn't Play By The Rules.

Detective Erin Donovan expects life to settle down after the arrest and conviction of a serial rapist who terrorized her college town last summer. Then two young women are brutally slain and the murders bear all the hallmarks of the campus rapist. Did Erin arrest the wrong man?

Her job is at stake and tensions are high. Just when it looks like things can't get worse, the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit sends a profiler to assist the investigation—in the form of a man Erin has never been able to forget.

Three years ago, former Marine scout sniper Darsh Singh’s feelings for Erin had him breaking all his rules. Now his only interest in the former NYPD detective is figuring out if she screwed up an investigation and helped send an innocent man to prison.

Being forced to work together rekindles their attraction, and as Darsh and Erin fall for each other, the predator fixates on the female detective hunting him. Can they identify the killer before he makes Erin his final victim?

Cold Hearted by Toni Anderson is book 6 in the Cold Justice series and so far this series is not straight minded it's a mixed bag of anything from murder to country hopping trying to excape the cartel 😬 every book is different so it's only predictable with the Steamy side of things and the HEA which is needed after all the excitement.
This one is about murder, mistaken identities and rape with a complete psychopath, it's a fast exciting read which you won't be able to put down.
I definitely recommend it 📖

I have loved this series and definitely hit gold when I came across this author and am surprised she is not known that well, has more followers and is higher up in the ranks of authors of RS!.........Hopefully Ms Anderson intends to add more stories to this series.

Would happily recommend to anyone who reads Romance/RS.

Another good read from Toni Anderson - really like her Cold Justice series.

A campus rapist - one behind bars and another on the loose! Fingers pointing everywhere, in particular back at the main detective as if it's all her fault. The main characters had very good chemistry - gotta have a little angst thrown in just to increase the mystery. It took me a bit to figure out who the really bad guy was - had it narrowed down to a couple, but it was over half way through the book before I had it nailed down. Fairly fast paced, all-in-all a good read for me.

4.5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Toni's books generally spoil me for other reads. I finished Cold Justice in the wee hours of the morning and haven't been able to find another to hold my attention. I've been spoiled with this fast-paced treasure.

I loved this story. Complex and intricate, the plot draws you in from almost the first page on and doesn't fail to surprise with its turns and twists. The characters are intriguing, fallible and multi-dimensional, making them not only credible, but utterly relatable. And I'm not just talking about the H and h. Every single secondary character is clearly defined in such a way that they easily take shape.
There is an almost parallel tension build up of suspense and romance, which doesn't really let up until the very last pages and is extremely satisfying.

If you have not yet picked up any of Toni's writing, I strongly urge you to do so. Her writing is supremely intelligent, well-researched, crisp and believable.
Full marks once again.

Book number 6 in what is one of the best series I have ever read. The hero, Darsh and heroine, Erin, had a one night stand three years ago that despite the overwhelming passion, didn't end well. That lends a really great deal of tension to their encounter in the present as he is an FBI agent sent to see if she, a police detective, screwed up a serial rapist investigation and the wrong guy was convicted. A plot point the reader is left to puzzle over for most of the book.

The plot starts out with a stalker and proceeds to murder, but not of the stalkee. This murder is to punish her. We readers are gifted with some really good candidates for the baddie and I just love not being able to figure out if I got it right up to the very end. If our murderer was also the rapist, how did he pull it off to frame the football star and why?

The sixth addition to Toni Anderson's Cold Justice series. When the girlfriend of a convicted rapist is raped and murdered the FBI is called in to help. FBI Agent Darsh Singh arrives on the scene and discovers Detective Erin Donovan working the case. The girlfriend wasn't the only one murdered, though, and the two must work together to find the truth.

Years before Erin and Darsh had a one night thing but it ended badly when Darsh discovered Erin was married. I won't get into details but things aren't always as they seem.

Probably not my favorite of Ms. Anderson's books but it was still really good and I will continue to seek out her work.

Toni Anderson’s Cold Justice series has been an amazing ride so far. With each book, Toni manages to bring to the table a diverse cast of characters and stories that tugs at your heartstrings, while at the same time they deliver on themes that makes you sit up and take notice. Cold Hearted, the sixth book in the series checks in all those boxes and then some.

Detective Erin Mairead Donovan is persona non grata when it comes to Forbes Pines, a highbrow college town in St. Lawrence County. Erin earned her way into the town’s list of people to be hated with a vengeance when she had been pivotal in the conviction of one of the star students in the college for a string of rapes that had rocked the town.

When a double homicide turns up one victim with eerily similar methods of restraint used by the serial rapist, it shakes Erin to the core and makes her question everything that had been done during the prior investigation. Things get more heated when FBI Agent Darsh Singh turns up to assist in the investigation, who just happens to be the one explosive “mistake” in Erin’s life that had rocked her to the very soul.

With a killer on the loose, someone who is cunning enough to know the ins and outs of the justice system and able to manipulate everything to suite his needs, it is a ticking time bomb that Darsh and Erin have to diffuse, on top of their wild attraction for one another that just seems to burn hotter and fiercer the more they try to ignore the fact.

When Cold Hearted ended up in my inbox, it had come at an opportune time. As I kept turning the pages deep into the night, I realized that Toni had managed to defeat all my fears that had come to light when I had just stopped finding much joy in the books that I had picked up in the last couple of months. It had reached the point where I had been afraid that maybe the romance genre as a whole had ceased to be exciting for me. But Toni made me sit up and recall why I love reading romances, especially romantic suspense in the first place! So from the bottom of my heart Toni, thank you!

People might judge those who read romances all the time, but that does not change the fact that some of the stories that are crafted under the genre are exceptionally well written and well researched and teaches you a thing or two before you are done. Toni’s stories have a way of doing that for me – without fail. Which is why I will always keep coming back for more; because Toni’s stories work in ways most books fail.

I loved Erin and Darsh. Erin is all modern woman. Strong, resilient and stubborn to a fault – it takes a strong man to take on a woman like her. I fell head over heels in love with Erin the minute I came across the following bit in the book. At that exact moment I thought to myself, Erin is my kind of girl!

It might have been a sin in the eyes of the church, but the part of her that wanted to feel ashamed was quickly buried under a mountain of resilience and hard-won independence.
It was none of his damn business.

Darsh makes for the perfect match in that regard. He has his demons to fight. Neither is he perfect in what he is or does. He is charming, hot as a slice of sinfully good chocolate cake that you just want to consume a whole and wonderfully big hearted. He has his own demons to fight, but then who doesn’t? Neither Erin nor Darsh are picture perfect, nor are they meant to be. They work as a whole because they are human – and that is what makes these stories the emotionally well crafted tales they are.

Darsh’s past makes him susceptible in just the same way as you and I would be when it comes to emotional ground. But he was more ready than Erin to take that leap into the unknown, Erin who was more of a mess than she would let herself acknowledge. I’m glad that she found someone like Darsh who was willing to go that extra mile to believe in both of them, until she caught up, or rather was willing to catch up and be with him.

As I mentioned earlier, Toni’s stories are great reads not just because of the romance and suspense element and the likable characters that they deliver. They are great reads because they are books that tickles your brain cells and makes you think harder and longer about aspects of society that you might not otherwise.

We all talk about the justice system, how it most of the time fails society at large and how it’s just a matter of how good your lawyer is in spinning a good tale, which seems to be all that matters in the end. Toni was brilliant in the way she laid the story out. In this aspect, the way the villain is crafted was the masterpiece in my opinion.

Though he was the monster no woman should ever cross, the basis of his monstrosity is one that at least I can agree with. How screwed up society can be, how the system can fail you over and over again – these are things that happens in front of us all the time, things that we don’t take much notice of because it is not happening to us or someone we love.

Toni’s stories are great because they deliver the subtle and the not so subtle messages of failures in law enforcement, the justice system – the system as a whole and how people can actually make a difference, if they are willing to wade into the muck and try. For that alone, I would pick anything that Toni sees fit to write.

I recommend each and every single book in the Cold Justice series that has been written. Oh who am I kidding. I recommend every single story by Toni that I’ve read to-date. Because she is one hell of a writer, and she delivers a significantly different story every single time.

Rating = 4.25/5

Cold Hearted
3.5 Stars

Anderson's writing is smooth and engaging. The serial killer plot is compelling with a truly nasty villain and some exciting action scenes. That said, it is rather easy to identify the killer, and the investigators make several investigative leaps that defy logic.

Erin and Darsh's romance is enjoyable. They are both appealing and likable characters, and their chemistry is engaging although not as intense as some of the other couples in the series. Moreover, as their backstory plays such an important role in their relationship, it would have been a good idea to include their initial encounter in a prologue.

Overall, a solid addition to the series.

In Cold Hearted by Toni Anderson, Detective Erin Donovan left her past behind her when she came to small town Forbes Pine. She is dedicated to her job and works hard. A recent case that put a popular university student in jail has now made her very unpopular and very unliked by many in the community. Erin had all the evidence to support the case against him, and everyone seems to hold her responsible and accountable for what they perceive as a wrongful conviction. When Erin is called to a disturbance at this student's girlfriends home, this time no one is crying wolf, and Erin walks into a very disturbing double homicide scene. A scene so similar to the same past crimes, everything amps up even further. Because of the similarities, the FBI is called in to assist. When Agent Darsh Singh is the agent to show up, both of them are shocked to know they know each other from a one night stand 3 years ago. He has never forgiven her after that night and neither of them have forgotten...but can they work together to find a killer before the killer finds his next victim?

Toni Anderson writes an intense, hold nothing back book in Cold Hearted. Full of mystery and tension, she held my attention throughout. Toni blends the romance and suspense very well so that they flow together seamlessly. Both are integral parts of the plot.

The suspense is riveting as the killer ups his game and Erin is soon not only trying to solve a case, she is an unknown target. I liked the way Toni gives us a look into this evil person through their POV. The unknowns, twists, and surprises kept Cold Hearted enthralling!

I liked watching Erin and Darsh not only hunt for a killer but work through the shadows of their pasts and their present. The attraction between them is palpable, even if they want to fight it. I liked how Toni brings their pasts into Cold Hearted at the right times as the story progresses. Their professional and personal worlds have collided, and this rocky road they are on is challenging and filled with not only tension and hurt but many other strong emotions. I liked how they were able to work together despite it all. I really liked Erin. She is strong, stubborn, and she cares. The recent deaths haunt her, even though she knows the previous investigation and evidence was solid. I was amazed by her resilience and strength in the face of blatant hatred in a small town. I liked Darsh too. He has his own issues, and the anger he feels towards Erin about the past does not cancel out his attraction to her. I could understand why he felt how he did. I liked the communication Darsh and Erin did have and the slow build of trust.

Erin and Darsh are realistic, believable characters and I was very intrigued to see where they would end up. That kept me guessing almost as much as who this killer would be and what the killer's motives were. The suspenseful plot is written in a believable way, and Toni's research into the subject shows. A common goal brings two people together, but will it last? An escalating killer and a possible wrongful conviction made for a thought provoking, exciting read. Part of Toni Anderson's Cold Justice series, Cold Hearted can easily be read as a stand alone. I'd recommend Cold Hearted to any romantic suspense reader.

Small college town murder mystery makes up this latest in the Cold Justice series.

Since the big over arching plot of the previous books in the series was finally put the rest this time the story is centrally focused on a small college town in Upstate New York close to the Canadian border. Detective Erin Donovan is the most hated person in Forbes Pines as she arrested star quarterback for raping college girls which eventually led to his conviction and incarceration last year. Now after a long deserved vacation she returns to a double homicide that has her questioning did they arrest the right man or did he have an accomplice. Right away an FBI profiler shows up to help them and normally she would be very grateful for any help but the man they sent happens to be the man she had a one night stand with 3 years ago when she was training at Quantico and that night didn't end well.

FBI Agent Darsh Singh has been on some tough cases lately when he is pulled to go to Forbes Pines to help with the murders and to also look into the previous rapes. He is not happy himself when he gets there and see that the lead detective is the woman who lied to him 3 years ago. Neither of them had been totally honest with the other that night but Darsh feels Erin's deception was almost unforgivable even though he has not forgotten how it felt to have her in his arms.

Not as intense in the suspense as some of the previous books in the series but the bad guy did a good job a deceiving everyone including Darsh and Erin right up until the end. Their relationship also played a big part of the book and the ups and downs they went through with not only having to deal with the case but also their past.

Respect and admiration to the survivors of crimes.
Prayers to the ones who did not make it .

This book can be read as a standalone, but you'd noticed the similarities after reading a few in the series.

Detective Erin Donovan met Special Agent Darsh Singh on a successful and unforgettable ONS 3 years ago. Their reunion this time was to investigate the death of two females. It was awkward as that night kept on popping into their minds during the investigation.

What happened to the ladies were indescribable, the investigators were in a nutshell as they'd already arrested the local golden boy the year before for such crime. Who were they dealing with now? A copycat? A partner?
Was the golden boy innocent after all?

The romance aspect of the story went O to 1OOmph, I meant, they first met during the ONS which was 3 years ago, no contact whatsoever after, they were paired together in this difficult investigation and boom! "I love you, leave your job, you deserved better than this position and let's start a relationship". Yes, they learned a lot about each other along the way but I needed more before those lines above.

Did I guess the right perpetrator?
Years of watching Law and Order SVU, I am not planning to dissapoint Lieutenant Olivia Benson now.

Cold Hearted (Cold Justice #6) by Toni Anderson
4 stars!!

“She wasn’t cold-hearted, but she was a coward.”

I do love romantic suspense and as much I am a softie at heart and love all the mushy stuff I love it when there are other plot lines that also keep your attention and have your brain running all sorts of theories at the same time. Cold Hearted was just that, my brain was running a mile minute trying to read between the lines, fish out the red herrings and sort the wood from the trees, but as per usual, I didn’t solve the crime, this one had me guessing all the way through.

My favourite TV show is Criminal Minds and this book was extremely Criminal Mindsesque, so not only did I get my romance but it was blended perfectly with my friends at the BAU. This plot was intricate and delicately woven all the while giving us a front row seat to a blossoming romance between a female detective that was enemy number one and an FBI profiler that was brought in to check her work and assist on what seems to be a copycat.

“He was in love with a woman who guarded her heart as carefully as most men guarded their balls.”

A campus rapist, Hawke is behind bars for a thirty-year stretch who just so happened to be the star quarterback has given rise to Detective Erin Donovan being public enemy number one. With sly glances, name calling, prank calls and just general disdain it is amazing that Erin has stayed in her job. But Erin stands behind her convictions, the evidence spoke for itself and the jury agreed. The case was a slam dunk…or so she thought. When Hawke’s girlfriend and flat mate are brutally murdered and raped with the same MO as Hawke her confidence begins to unravel, the DA are on tenterhooks in case the conviction was wrong and are all out for damage limitation, so they call the BAU and Agent Darsh Singh is the man sent from Quantico.

Darsh is now an agent for the FBI but his time as a sniper in the marines only adds to his charm and appeal. Darsh was like a dog with a bone and never gave up, this guy was tenacious, stubborn and professional but had a heart of gold. He could be the ice man when needed but Erin had the knack of thawing it extremely easily. Darsh has his issues too, but he is more open to a future with Erin. His feelings are a first for him so he knows that the potential that he and Erin have is something special.

“And now you chase serial killers.”
“I got a taste for hunting humans…after that it’s hard to hunt anything else.”

Erin was top of her field, especially for a woman but she had put her husband’s career before her own. Now that they are not together Erin is grabbing her moment to shine and the Hawke case cemented her as a Detective that couldn’t be bought and one that had the guts and determination to put the bad guys away despite their bulging wallets and social standing. Erin was fantastic at her job so to suddenly be under constant scrutiny is hard, especially when she ends up scrutinising herself.

Darsh and Erin had met years ago at a convention at Quantico and it seems they had one night of hot, steamy sex that neither one had ever forgotten, now that they are in each other’s company once again, old feelings begin to resurface, however now they have complications…the job they are on and Erin’s reluctance to ever trust a man again.

“One of these days you’re going to stop running away from the fear of being hurt again…I just hope there’s a little bit of life waiting for you when you do.”

All the characters in Cold Hearted were intriguing, relatable and imperfect and it is these imperfections that made them human. All secondary characters had their parts to play and their character traits clearly defined with just enough information to colour you intrigued but never giving you a certain suspect. As I was reading I felt as if I was totally submersed in an episode of Criminal Minds as the story played out page after page and those pages just kept turning and turning.

With an UNSUB that had an intricate knowledge of the criminal justice system, forensics and criminal psychology, Erin and Darsh seem to have met their match as the UNSUB always remain one step ahead. Never knowing whether to trust the evidence before them has them in a novel situation and one that calls on all their gut instincts and training. This plot was captivating as well as intriguing and literally was a constant guessing game with potential candidates coming and going with every chapter. Toni Anderson did an amazing job in keeping you on your toes throughout without ever having a clear front runner.

Toni Anderson is a new to me author and is one that I will definitely be checking out again, if the other books in this series are anything like Cold Hearted it looks like I have at least another five books to read. Totally loved this book, something different and something much needed to break up a run of contemporary romance reads.

Toni Anderson is my go-to author for fantastic romantic suspense and this book did not disappoint. Although there are some reoccurring characters this book could be read as a stand alone without any problems; however, why when the whole series is phenomenal. If you haven't read a Cold Justice book start at the beginning and read them all!

This book centers around police detective Erin Donovan who left her past behind and moved to a small town. She isn't interested in anything more than doing her job right now and her last case has made her very unpopular in town. Erin arrested the star college quarterback for multiple counts of rape and he was convicted and sentenced. When Erin is called to the quarterback's girlfriend's house she assumes it's just more harassment but soon discovers a double homicide with way too many similarities to the rape cases. Because of the tension in the town and the similarities the FBI is called in to assist and make sure that there isn't a connection between the cases.

Darsh is the FBI agent called in and he and Erin are both shocked when they discover they will be working together as the two have a tense past. Erin and Darsh are forced to put the past out of their minds for now and work together to discover who killed the two college girls and whether it has anything to do with Erin's past rape cases.

As usual, Toni writes an intense, thrilling suspense with just the right amount of romance that is seamlessly integrated into the story. I enjoyed watching Darsh and Erin figure out how to work together despite their initial dislike of being forced to work together and their mutual attraction and distrust. The reader slowly discovered what happened between Darsh and Erin and the motivations behind their actions of the one night stand they had several years ago. Erin was a very strong female character who I wasn't sure I was going to like at the beginning but by the end became one of my favorite characters. She was resilient and tough and willing to keep going in the face of adversity and the town's disapproval to find answers. Darsh was intense and had a very strong moral code as well as a passionate side. The characters were believable and I understood where each was coming from and was intrigued to see how they would work through the past.

This book dealt with campus rape, prejudice, and a possible wrongful conviction. The book had a few main suspects and I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the villain was. As with all of Toni's RS books the plot was intricate, well developed and intense! I enjoyed the small forays into the killer's thoughts as well.

If you're looking for a romantic suspense with a good mix of suspense, and romance, believable yet imperfect characters and a great plot that will have you guessing as well as a very plausible yet terrifying crime then I recommend Cold Hearted.

Thanks to the author for gifting me this book in exchange for an honest review.

Another good read from Ms. Anderson..

I know I’m just being ridiculous but.. DARSH? Really? WTH kind of name is that? I’ve seen some strange names but that’s one of the worst. I’m assuming he got that name because he was Indian, although it was mentioned only 1 or 2 times, that he was Indian, so you’d really never know it. Tall, dark and handsome was how he was described; his skin color mentioned once in the story, when he and Erin walked into a restaurant and a man looked at them strangely. Personally, I thought it was rather silly.

Anyway, this was a very good mystery/romance, with lots of suspects to choose from. And I had no idea who the bad guy was until he was “outed.”

I really like the second chance storyline with Darsh and Erin. But I also understood her skepticism about trusting Darsh, or any man. Wow, that ex-husband of hers really did a number on her in the end. Gave her something she’d never forget.

There were a couple (or three) sex scenes in this book, one right after another in a couple of places.
And there was swearing, with the F-bomb being dropped 77 times.

As to the narration: As always lately Eric Dove did a great job. He makes all the right sounds, laughing, crying, shouting, whispering. He just gets better with every book he reads.

Let me start out by saying, Detective Erin Donovan has gone through the ringer in life, and she faces it with class because I would be out for blood with the way people treated her that's for sure. She invesitgated a rape case & found enough evidence to get a conviction for a beloved college quarterback, but the fallout has been brutal for her, and I do mean BRUTAL! In the present day, she's back from vacation when she's called out to the college filled with students who absolutely hate her to a murder scene of two girls, one who was the girlfriend of that QB she put away so things pop off quickly, In fact, they call in the FBI BAU so former Marine sniper, Darsh Singh shows up, and Erin isn't happy about it. See, she & Darsh hooked up several years prior, and things didn't go well before they parted so things get even more dicey on top of the chaos already going on including the paps who are crucifying Erin all over again. Once again, the twists are coming in hot from every direction as they try to figure out who's behind the murders, and get that person behind bars but it's no easy task since it's a race against time before Erin becomes collateral damage on all fronts, including with the sadistic killer who has her in their sights. So yeah, another perfect story by the brilliant Toni Anderson, and everyone needs her books in their lives! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My feelings:

Toni Anderson's gripping novel, "Cold Hearted," is the sixth installment in the electrifying Cold Justice series. Each book in this series stands alone, offering unique and intense storylines.

Somewhere deep inside you always took a portion of the blame, even when it wasn’t your fault.

Yet, one can always expect to find sizzling romance intertwined with the plot. In this latest addition, readers are taken on a thrilling journey filled with murder, mistaken identities, and horrifying acts of violence by a deranged criminal.

“We all have demons, Erin. Sometimes we chase them, sometimes they chase us.”

With its fast-paced plot and twists that keep you guessing until the very end, "Cold Hearted" is a must-read for anyone craving an adrenaline-fueled and unpredictable tale. I highly recommend it to all fans of romantic suspense novels.

“Whereas Erin is going to live a long and happy life married to me, making babies and generally having a fucking great time.

What the heck? Why no search dogs for Rachel the first day? Most Search and Rescue teams have tracker dogs especially in rural areas where they are extremely beneficial in locating missing persons in wilderness areas. They wasted a whole day deploying people without a viable trail to follow.

Wow, Toni does it again. If you want drama, suspense, a great crime to solve and a hot romance grab this book, FBI Agent Darsh Singh & Detective Erin Donovan's story is a gripping read. Better still read the whole series! Definitely worth it.

Erin had caught a rapist who was convicted and put behind bars to serve out his sentence, he was one of the star players in the local College football, loved by everyone, but he was identified as the attacker by one of his victims. After his conviction there is a campaign of hate in the town by the College fraternity against the victims and Detective Donovan, as they all believe he is innocent.

A few months after the conviction, two new victims emerge, they're also students at the local College and they're raped and murdered. After this happens FBI Agent Singh is sent to investigate the new crimes and any possible links to the previous rapes. He is also sent to evaluate Detective Donovan and see if she possibly put the wrong guy behind bars.

Neither of them realise, until facing one another that this is not the first time they've met. Three years prior, they had spent one night of heated passion together, and neither of them have forgotten. So this is a difficult situation for both of them and they have to work along side each other to find answers and catch a killer.

This is another one if those RS books where one of the main characters is being stalked by the bad guy. I really don't care for these tropes, as I prefer a more straitforward investigation; but it was handled well here, and not overly intrusive to the actual case being worked on.

Football star Drew has been tried and imprisoned for the rape of four co-eds. That didn't sit well with the citizens of the small college town; leaving detective Erin Donovan hated by many for her part in putting the popular young man in prison. When two more co-eds are raped (and murdered this time) in a very similar fashion; the whole town is incensed. Did Erin help put away an innocent man? Then the FBI sends in agent Darsh Singh to investigate...and Erin just happens to have a past with the agent.

The identity of the bad guy becomes apparent early in the book, as there are few choices as to who it could be to choose from. However, the murderer is very intelligent, and manages to stay a few steps ahead of the investigation throughout the book; all the while throwing out some clever red herrings to confuse the police and muddy the investigation.

My dislike for the endangered heroine trope aside, this was a well written and engaging story. This is overall one of the better RS series I read.

Book synopsis: Hunting For A Killer...

Detective Erin Donovan expects life to quiet down after the arrest and conviction of a serial rapist who terrified her university town last summer. Then two young women are brutally slain and the murders bear all the hallmarks of the campus rapist. Did Erin arrest an innocent man? Now her job is at stake and tensions are high and just when it looks like things can’t get worse, her department gets the help it needs to solve the double homicide—in the form of a man Erin has never been able to forget.

Who Doesn't Play By The Rules.

FBI Agent Darsh Singh has no interest in reliving the past. Three years ago, his feelings for Erin Donovan had him breaking all his rules about getting involved. Now his only interest in the former NYPD detective is figuring out if she screwed up a rape investigation and helped send an innocent man to prison. But being forced to work together rekindles their old attraction, and as Darsh and Erin fall for each other, the campus predator fixates on Erin. The race is on to identify the ruthless killer before he makes Erin his final victim.
