The author on example of Mikhail Sholokhov’s heritage and composer’s Ivan Dzerzhinsky’s work shows the transformation of literature images into musical images and paradigmal images of the civil war, collectivization and the Great Patriotic War. In the article facts of transformation of literary images into musical images and even into paradigmal images of the epochs come to light and receive explanation. Thus the author touches upon the problem of the hermeneutics of the musical art. On the contemporary period of the development of the world musical art with each year problems of transformation of literary images into musical images as opera’s so ballet’s as within one national culture so also within another one became very actual. Double actuality of this article is connected with philosophical comprehension of the problem. Staging of John Cranko’s ballet «Eugene Onegin» in Russia and reaction to this staging in the country merely prove the truth formulated in the precedent paragraph. The object of investigations of the present article is paradigmal images and symbols of epochs, civilizations and nations. The subject of investigations – musical paradigmal images and symbols of epochs, civilizations and nations. In this matter virgin soil remains newlyploughed. Some of our articles on this matter have been already published: «They threw the word from the song away. What for?», «Ukrainian voice of Portugal guitar», «Through the valleys and over hills. Philosophical, historical and juridical aspects of the being of one musical image in the different symbols of the different epochs, countries and nations», «Songs of Portuguese revolution», «Seine and Rhine, Studenets and Slavianka». The author comes to the conclusion that the images of the M. A. Sholokhov’s novels «Quit Waves of Don» and «Newlyploughed virgin soil» and short story «Destiny of the man» having become musical images of the I. I. Dzerzhinsky’s operas «Quit Waves of Don», «Newlyploughed virgin soil», «Destiny of the man» and «Grigoriy Melekhov», turned into real paradigmal symbols of the epochs of the civil war, collectivization and the Great Patriotic War.
