ABOUT TEXAS STATE
A week after giving up 77 points each in losses to Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina, the Bobcats put the clamps on the Red Wolves and Trojans. A-St, a team that averages 68.5 points per game, managed to score just 54 points at Strahan. Two nights later, Little Rock was held scoreless in the final 4:40 of the fourth quarter and was held to 48 points, 12 points below their season average.

Junior guard Brooke Holle was named College Sports Madness Sun Belt Player of the Week following her performance over the weekend. She scored a game-high 21 points, her second 20-point effort of the season, in the win over Arkansas State. She scored four of TXST's seven points in a game-closing 7-0 run to upend Little Rock. The honor marks the first of her career and second time a Bobcat was honored by College Sports Madness this season.

Senior guard Toshua Leavitt continues to lead the Bobcats in scoring with 16.2 points per night. She ranks third in the conference in scoring and seventh in steals with 1.8 per night. Leavitt averages 3.3 made 3-pointers per game, the highest figure in the conference.

With a career record at Texas State of 122-123, head coach Zenarae Antoine is fourth in program history in career victories. She trails Suzanne Fox (174), Judy Rinker (145) and Linda Sharp (138) on the all-time list.

SCOUTING ULM
The Warhawks enter the weekend with a record of 8-15 (2-10 Sun Belt) after dropping a 55-52 contest against in-state rival Louisiana on Feb. 16. ULM has won three games since Dec. 10. The first came against Arkansas-Monticello and the next two came at the expense of Georgia Southern. The Warhawks have lost eight of the last nine games and have failed to top 58 points in any of the eight losses.

ULM is led by preseason third team all-league selection and sophomore guard Arsula Clark. She records 13.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per night, both figures lead the team. Junior guard Lauren Fitch adds 9.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

SCOUTING LOUISIANA
The Ragin' Cajuns struggles through a tough non-conference schedule with four losses to Power-5 conference teams, including three in a row to close out the non-conference slate. A young team, Louisiana struggles on the defensive end and in the turnover department. LA is one of four teams in the league allowing 70-plus points per game, while the teams ranks ninth in turnovers and No. 10 in assist-turnover ratio.

The Cajuns are led by one of the top players in the Sun Belt in sophomore center Ty'Reona Doucet. She produces 13.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game out of the low block and has notched 10 double-doubles this season, the most in the conference. Freshman guard Brandi Williams scored 13.1 points a night to give the Cajuns a solid inside-out combo.

UP NEXT FOR THE BOBCATS
Texas State will close out the 2018-19 regular season with a three-game homestand. The Bobcats will open with an 11:30 a.m. tip on Feb. 28 against the Troy Trojans. The game will represent the 2019 Kid's Game. The season will conclude with a pair of home games against South Alabama (March 2) and UT Arlington (March 9).
