So, that was hot. No, that’s not right, that was melt your insides, scorch your panties delicious goodness. Damn it is great to be back in a Skye world!

I don’t know how Skye manages to intrigue me to this level of rapture with almost every couple she writes, but it is some ridiculous magic! Sometimes, her stories are right on the edge of my line of what I enjoy and don’t but no matter what, she blows my mind with how sexy she makes all her stories. This is probably one of the most deliciously sensual stories Skye has written to date (in my opinion) and I would also say one of the more edgy stories I’ve read by her in a while. Skye brought her A-game in the passion department, and she created two leads that from the outside or the surface seem to be very opposite but if you dig a little deeper, they are both strong, independent, willing to fight anyone for what they want/need, passionate, smart and just ridiculously captivating. I enjoyed their entire journey from beginning to end.

Erotic. Sensual. Dramatic. Explosive. Finale by Skye Warren was everything and more. This novella captured the hedonistic and emotional effects so well. Skye Warren can deliver wickedly hot stories and this one was no exception. Get ready for the dominant alpha billionaire and his fierce love.

Isabella Bradley left her part princess days behind instantly to take care of her family hotel business that is going down. When Fransisco Castille, exiled duke of Linares offers a deal to recover their business financially, Isabella had to take it. Even it means getting into an arranged marriage with a kinky billionaire.

This story is one of the most steamy stories I have read from Skye Warren. Fransisco stole my heart with his depraved, dirty and dominating ways. He had seen too much emotional pain in his parents' marriage. So he demands a marriage that can be controlled by him. Structured. Bound by his rules and played by his ways. He wants Isabella to submit to him and he wants to give her pleasure in every way. But Isabella is too strong and stubborn and fierce to give in to him completely. She loves his dark games and she has embraced her fantasies but she refuse to compromise with her emotions. She is the one to break the cold king down and make him accept all the heavy angsty swoony feels. The chemistry is mindblowing and so is the execution.

Finale by Skye Warren is book 4.5 in the North Security Series. This is the story of Fransisco Castille and Isabella Bradley. I have read (and Loved!) the previous books in this series but I do feel this can be a standalone book. Fransisco has wanted Isabella from the first time he saw her but has been unable to claim her until now. Isabella's family hotel business is going bankrupt due to her father/brother running it to the ground. Now she has to marry Fransisco to save it. This was a dark page turning romance...loved it. I plan on reading more from this author and I do recommend this dark read.

This book was absolutely fantastic!
I absolutely adored reading this novella! I’ve read many fantastic romance novellas but this may have to go down as a top pick from now on. I haven’t read the other books in Skye’s “North Security” series but I’m now sufficiently hooked. 👌🏻😆
“Finale” is a perfect blend of all the best romantic story aspects you can imagine. Angst, intrigue, action, steam (lots of it 😏🔥), tension, heartache, hope and (of course) an abundance of passion mixed in! Plus, it’s all rolled up in a perfect little package you can binge all in one sitting! See? A perfect blend of everything you want in a good romance novella! ❤️
This book is amazing and I can confidently say I highly recommend reading it!
Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finale
(North Security #4.5)
Written by: Skye Warren

This novella packs a punch! There is no fooling around here, Fransisco Castille wants Isabella Bradley and he is willing to do whatever he needs to do to get her.

Isabella Bradley has rescued her family’s business several times this time though she isn’t quite sure what she has gotten herself into.

Fransisco’s obsession with Isabella could lead to a solid relationship or a total blowup. The smoldering heat and the passion that is growing in this relationship might scorch one or both of them.

Having had a short visit at this couple in Warren’s Concerto, it seems this is the perfect time to get their story! I love Skye Warren and her steamy sexy couples!

4.5 Dominating Stars

Isabella Bradley was a party girl until her family's hotel business started struggling so she changed her ways and went to work for her father and saved the company...well she was constantly saving it as it would turn out.

Francisco Castille has always know what he wanted and ALWAYS went after it so when the perfect opportunity presented itself he pounced, namely making Isabella his.

If you have read any of the North Security books you've probably seen Isabella and Francisco pop up here and there since they are friends with Liam and Samantha and are always their to help out when needed, now we get their story, and what a story it is!

My goodness this story had me so entranced I didn't even realize a couple of hours had passed by. I loved the determination of Francisco and the strong will of Isabella, the chemistry between them was smokin'.

This story can be read as a standalone for new readers to the series and if you have read the series I can guarantee you are going to love this novella. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Alpha Males, Steamy Contemporary Romances, Strong Heroines, or BDSM Romances.

Happy Reading!!!

Well written, but too dark for my tastes. I have no problem with the top end of the heat scale, but it becomes problematic when the innocent is totally uninformed of what is expected of her. Francisco explains none of his expectations to Isabella so she can make an informed decision about their relationship. Consent and agreement beforehand were nowhere to be found and if the story hadn’t been so short, I wouldn’t have finished it.
The discover of her backbone and the epilogue are the only things that saved this for me, and gave it 3.5 stars. Not my favorite from this well-liked author.

This was a quick, steamy and fast paced novella!!! Fransisco and Isabella have such a unique, dark and unorthodox relationship. This was one of the most edgy books by Skye.
It's based in the North Securiry universe but it can be read as a standalone.
I devoured it in a couple hours and I would have gladly read more about these heroes.
Loved it!

I was very disappointed. This book felt like a bait and switch.

The hero spends a lot of time thinking about how he wanted her from the moment he saw her in one of his clubs. He refuses to invest in her family hotels which will go out of business without a loan. All banks have refused them. He will only save her family's business if she marries him. So she does.

She is a virgin. He tells her all the time how much he wants her and how he is controlling. On their wedding day after they are married before the reception he performs oral sex on her. In the limo after the reception on the way back to his castle, she performs oral sex on him.

Then they get home and he introduces her to her lady's maid.

He then has the lady's maid perform oral sex on his virgin wife while he watches.

I felt so betrayed. All this time going on about how much he wants her and on their WEDDING NIGHT he wants another woman to touch her while he watches. So disappointing. Heroine deserved a hero who only wanted himself to touch her.

Wrong format (too short)

I really was looking forward to this story, as Isabella and Francisco had cameo appearances in several of the North Security books and I was intrigued by the hints about their story that were provided and that somehow gave me the impression that their story would be epic. And that’s actually my biggest issue with the book: it’s short length of only about 80 pages, even though I knew going in that it was only a novella. But it actually is at the lower end of a novella. The reason I am harping on this is that I really felt that the format didn’t do justice to the scope and breadth what the story meant to cover, from their initial meeting (not to mention the fact that Francisco actually decided a long time before that that he would have Isabella), to the “forced” marriage, Francisco’s peculiar expectations, Isabella’s adjustments to her own desires, both their daddy issues, the ensuing conflict about Isabella’s father, to the somewhat rushed resolution. Much seemed to be glossed over, literally “nights passed in a sensual haze” (gimme details), or “weeks of blissful marriage” (duh).

I also feel this tale should come with trigger warnings. I am actually ok with the “forced” marriage bit, since it was Isabella’s own decision (mostly), to agree to it in order to save the family business. And I am also on board with the punishments (spankings). But the terms of the arrangement should have been clarified by Francisco, especially in view of Isabella’s complete sexual inexperience; as it is, their interactions were more in the realm of dubious consent. And the forced sexual acts with a third party (one female, one male) really pushed my boundaries; that’s just not my kink.

I realize that I completely screwed up the sandwich method of writing a review that recommends that one should start with something positive and not jump with both feet onto the things one didn’t like. I love Skye Warren’s writing style for its atmospheric quality, and you get glimpses of that, especially in the beginning, when Isabella and Francisco meet for the first time in a business setting and the way Francisco so compellingly exudes dominance and exerts subtle pressure that gives off this Gothic vibe (for lack of a better word), where the heroine (even one as strong as Isabella) just has no choice but to comply. I admire how Skye Warren manages to translate these societal/cultural pressures that we would like to consider belonging in the past into the modern world.

I just wish these two had gotten at least a full-length novel for their story instead of this truncated novella; they would have deserved it and so would have the readers.

Beautifully written and powerfully sensual. The staging of the plot is magnificent with a lush atmosphere, luxurious lifestyle, commanding nobility, and the dark, sharp edge of an arranged marriage.

This premise turns out to be intense, unavoidable, utter sensorial bliss. Imagine a smart woman driven to an arranged marriage to a duke in order to save her family's hotel empire. It's naughty and decadent.I've been waiting for this novella for a year, so I was ecstatic to read it.

Even though I enjoy this author's poignant writing and understanding sense of psychology, I confess the kinky side of her male character here did not sit well with me. It might be someone else's cup of tea, and I recommend this novella because it is masterfully narrated. However, the duke's idea of what should happen in his marital bed is not for me. Despite not being able to connect to the characters in their open-style marriage, I did enjoy the truth behind the duke's intimidating attitude and the clash of wills with Isabella.

In the end, they reveal to each other that there's more to their union than a contract and steamy nights, and love can prevail. The pet was a cute and moving touch. Also, the epilogue is wonderful! Overall, I relished reading this author's words as always.

I really enjoyed this novella, which is part of the North Security series and part of stories made for 1001 Dark Nights. Fransisco and Isabella have intense chemistry! This was a quick, dark and dirty read that was well written. Finale by Skye Warren is a MUST read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!!!

I couldn't even finish this (DNF'd at 50%). Not at all into the submissive/dominant type of shit. And the writing wasn't great.

I hated that the girl was so accepting of all the shit her husband wanted her to do or say and that she really didn't have a problem with him ordering the "special" maid to give her head so that she'd be ready for him. I was like "what the actual fuck", but somehow she didn't seem to be bothered by it. Good for her, I guess?

If you're into this type of sex stuff, go for it. But if not, don't even bother - it was wildly unimpressive (in my humble opinion).

Finale by Skye Warren is a North Security Novella and part of the 1001 Dark Nights world, and is a story I have been so impatiently waiting for! And it ABSOLUTELY delivered! Francisco and Isabella are EVERYTHING.

Isabella is so feisty and fiery, so competent and confident, so strong, because she is, and also, because she has no choice. I was in awe of her strength, her character.

And Francisco is shrewd, calculating, tall, dark, and handsome, and so much more, each layer as it got revealed riveting and tantalizing and mesmerizing and utterly delicious!

The power play between these two. The control. The push and pull. The CHEMISTRY. The story is fast paced, the connection beautiful and sizzling and simmering and touches on how important communication is, and how freeing it is to fully trust, to fully be yourself. It is steamy, it is SHMEKSHAY, it is a sheer delight to devour!

So, what are you waiting for? This is one Finale you won't want to miss, I guarantee it!

P. S. Who doesn't love a good spreadsheet?!

This story wormed its’ way into my heart, and I didn’t even realize it until the characters made me tear up. From the start, I thought, oh, this is where the story is going, and then it was like, no, didn’t expect that. And then, definitely didn’t see that coming, or that, but, well, wow, hot stuff! A business deal arranged marriage that takes on so much more, some parts expected, most parts not, and with neither character foreseeing the depth of the emotional attachment that grows between them. The heat between them cannot be denied, but they, like me, were surprised just how much they fell in love with each other along the way <3

Another delicious slice of passion and decadence from Skye Warren. For me, Skye is an absolute one click author who never fails to deliver. Finale is more than an arranged marriage of convenience, it is a love story in which both Isabella and Francisco struggle to admit to loving each other, but provide us with a great story as they learn. Totally delicious 💖💖💖💖💖

Isabella runs her family business of hotels because her father and brother are are unable to run it to its full potential. Francisco saw Isabella at a club a few years ago a new he wanted her instantly. When her business needed a backer he knew he could help her and get what he wanted at the same time. This was a fun quick read. I enjoyed the chemistry and banter these two shared. Francisco was definitely a get down to business kind of guy.

Finale is a novella set in the North Security Series by Skye Warren. Samantha and Liam have a brief cameo, so Fransisco and Isabella must have appeared in their books too. I honestly cannot remember them, but it doesn't really matter anyway. The story is a stand-alone.

I like novellas and usually, I don't have a problem with their length. I would have liked 30-50 more pages for this story though. I feel like the menage aspect of the book wasn't explored as much as it should have been. Isabella goes from being a virgin to having threesomes and Fransisco is into some kinky stuff, so I was expecting her to need some time to process everything, but she just accepts everything. Fransisco doesn't explain anything, not even to us readers, and just expect everyone to go with the flow. Also, I would have liked for a little more time to have passed before our characters realized their feelings for each other and have them in some romantic situations.

Overall, I wouldn't call the book bad. I do feel like we just touched the surface with Isabella and Fransisco's story, but I didn't dislike the book and I didn't have any high expectations in the first place due to the book's length.

DNF. I was excited thinking I was reading about a strong female character but Isabella is terrible. Nothing about her is described in the sinopse. Nothing about this story is new or captivating. And the wedding night chapter…. That’s a no for me. She should have fought him more. If she is the strong, independent women, she shouldn’t accept him so easy without a fight.
Francisco is a kid with a title, to much money and issues that he projects on Isabella in a way that it’s cringe and contradictory. He is an absolute bore of a man.
I started this book hopeful to give a second chance to the author after reading private property but it’s really difficult to follow the narrative, poorly written and without sense.

Isabella's duty to her family is the only thing that will get her to agree to what amounts to a good old fashioned marriage of convenience. Francisco has another think coming, though, if he thinks she'll actually abide by the "obey" part of their vows, though, because she's an independent, modern woman who runs her life, runs her company. But what if her body likes submitting to his dark demands? Will that submission lead to the dreaded l word? For her sake, let's hope not, because Francisco is irreparably damaged by his parents' raising, and love is not in his makeup. Or is it?

Francisco has wanted Isabella for years now, ever since seeing her at a club one night. What he wants, he gets. Only this time, he may get more than he bargained for when his heart begins to thaw around his beautiful, sassy new wife. Will he and Isabella admit to their feelings? Or will they be doomed to a loveless marriage, only good for the pleasure it brings them in the bedroom?

Damn, the heat level between Isabella and Francisco is off the charts! Steamy, sensual, incendiary, and brimming with passion, even if the actual feelings they develop are not admitted until late into the story. I knew where it was going, though, and loved every word. These two are one fabulous couple!

I know that I should know a bit more about Isabella, especially since I read the entire series that leads up to this story, but I guess there has been a bit of time since we first met Samantha Brooks and saw her interaction with the hotelier / pianist. Regardless, we have a lovely novella here that peeks into what makes Isa tick, and then what transformed her world because she’s far too selfless.

This story takes us to a point in time where her family is in need of saving, and as the fixer, the one who finds solutions, she’s put at the helm to do so. Her family owns a successful portfolio of boutique hotels that while profitable as they are, the acquisitions themselves end up putting the family further and further into debt. As the one who runs the numbers, Isabella is always trying to get her father and brother to make better choices, but of course men don’t want to hear the sense that a ‘smaller’ woman talks.

Isa gave up the life she had as a society party girl to graduate at the top of her class in Harvard and then managed to save the business. When she can’t save them with the help of banks to loan money, the one thing she can do is entertain a meeting with Francisco Castille, a man who is financially liquid enough to dig them out of a hole.

The meeting doesn’t go as planned, and part of the deal that he makes to help the hotel is for Isa to marry him. While she fights it at first, she always puts her family first and we watch what happens with this naive and inexperienced woman is owned and controlled by a man who’s quite the dominant.

The life she lives now is not one that she ever expected and we watch as she comes to terms with what she’s become. While Francisco gives her freedoms that she wanted, she’s away from her family, she’s in an environment that she’s not confident in, and she’s with a man who’s tastes are beyond her imagination.

Suffice it to say, only an author like Skye Warren could pack quite to much excitement into a novella of this length, but we get to see how this story plays out for all those that could be involved. There’s a rollercoaster of emotions and events, all ending in a way that some may have expected and others were unsure of.

Finale is a fantastic addition to Skye Warren’s North Security series--or a great introduction to the North Security world for readers who haven’t read the four, full-length novels.

Isabella Bradley would do anything to save her family’s hotel chain. Lord only knows that her father and brother won’t. But when banks repeatedly turn them down for the loan that would keep them afloat, Isa knows that the future of Bradley Hotels rests on the one man who has the means to save them: Francisco Castille, the exiled Duke of Linares. Francisco is willing to help Isa and her family--but only in exchange for Isa’s hand in marriage. Knowing this is their last option, and even knowing that Francisco is controlling in all things, Isabella agrees. Isabella, the virginal spreadsheet queen, had no idea the depths of Frans control and just what he would subject his new wife to in the bedroom. Full of domination and learning to walk the fine line between pain and pleasure, Finale is a steamy novella that will make you hungry for more.

Having read Skye Warren before, I was expecting a fantastic story but Skye blew me away with Finale. I could feel the sexual tension and sexy, smoldering eyes through the page, and some of the scenes Francisco puts Isabella through? I don’t want to give anything away, but wow. Almost every touch and caress held so much meaning, meant more to both Francisco and Isabella than either one was ready to let on. I loved that Isabella had so much depth to her character: a party girl who knew to be smart about it, a sharp business woman who thrived behind the scenes, a sensual woman who could finally accept her true nature. Francisco, on the other hand, was the type of character I was expecting: dark, brooding, private, and controlling. All of these characteristics, of course, led to a stunning leading man that I would absolutely love to see more of. I think my only complaint about Finale is that it was a novella instead of a full length novel. I could easily read hundreds of more pages about Isabella and Francisco, set both before and after the epilogue.

Finale is a fantastic dark romance, perfect for fans looking for more North Security content as well as readers who are new to Skye Warren and her series.

Overall Grade: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Oh boy! Skye Warren can write the heck out of a dark romance. If you’ve spent any time in her North Security series, then you’re familiar with those possessive, broken North men. With her newest 1001 Dark Nights story, Finale, you earn the story of Isabella and Francisco. Much like the North men, Francisco is everything you love in a Warren hero: possessive, obsessive, and dark. In this story, Francisco negotiates an arranged marriage with Isabella as a means to save her family’s business. He makes it clear from the beginning that he will own her, and she will be obedient to him in the bedroom while she maintains her independence in the business world. Without another solution, Isabella agrees to the arrangement, and she falls into the rabbit hole of Francisco’s world. Is it possible for these two to find love, or are they destined to live only in their arrangement?

There is nothing quite like a dark romance. An author such as Skye Warren gets away with some incredibly steamy, $exy moments in her stories because it makes sense in the world she creates. As a novella, Finale is a small diamond on a larger bracelet of stories. I couldn’t put this story down because Francisco’s obsession with Isabella, his possessiveness, and his twisted mind are so delectable.

Along with that is Isabella’s innocence. She is the perfect heroine in the scope of a story such as Finale. She comes into the marriage unblemished, and Francisco begins transforming her instantly. Each of their moments together lights the page on fire, and her light to his dark makes for a read that is pure titillation.

A friend of mine wanted to read this book, and I erroneously told her to read the rest of the North series. But I was wrong. If you want a sample, a taste, of Skye Warren’s brand of romance, then Finale is perfection.

1001 Dark Nights Finale by Skye Warren @skyewarrenbooks
Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Triggers: Threesomes, BDSM, power exchange

Finale is a good dark read. It's short so it's great for a weekend read or during breaks at work. If you haven't read a Skye Warren book before it's an excellent example of her writing style and an easy jumping in book to one of her worlds.

The sex scenes are very intense at times with very strong power exchange elements. If you're into 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 reads, BDSM, some humiliation then this is a great read. If you like your books vanilla skip this one it's definitely not for you.

Francisco and Isabella are great characters. They are fairly well realized and fleshed. I really enjoyed the intensity between them and was engrossed when the heat flared between them. This is a short book so I knew there wasn't going to be a lot of back story and that the story would resolve quickly. That being said 90% of Fransisco and Isabella's interactions were sexual in nature. Tons of fun to read but not much of a plot. I thought Francisco's back story was great but there's never a moment were he discussed his parents or why he's a disgraced duke. His internal monologue is excellent but he really doesn't share with Isabella. Isabella is a complete novice to the idea of power exchange and definitely has never had a threesome. I felt her initial shock was spot on but after that she just seems to accept things. I really would have liked way more conflict as the two settled into their marriage.

Overall, this is a great taste of Skye Warren's books. It's not anywhere the level of complexity to her full length novels due to the novella formatt. If you go in knowing you're reading a short work I think you'll love it. If you go in expecting a full length Skye Warren novel you may finish a little unsatisfied.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am such a fan of Skye Warren books, so this review is difficult to write. The blurb was very misleading and the book was too short. The storyline lacked substance and the characters were not the least bit likeable or interesting.

Ms. Warren is normally a very good story teller and knows how to write. I found this short novella was like watching a D rated porn movie. There was no erotic or dark connection between the characters. I expected a feisty heroine, not some woman that acquiesced to everything that her porn star Duke wanted her to do including bringing other people into the bedroom on their wedding night. Who does that? The Duke is a self-centered a-hole whose kinks involve other people in he and Isabella's sex life. He gets off on voyeurism. If Francisco had taken Isa to a sex club that she had willingly agreed to, it would have been more interesting and more into the BDSM lifestyle. This story is all about Francisco, his dominance, he wants and needs and she is merely a vessel for his kinks. He does get her off quiet a bit, but considering she was a virgin going into this marriage; she doesn't have much to compare it to.

This story was billed as a push and pull between two strong characters when it wasn't. Obedient Isabella even pumps out an heir for him by the Epilogue. Such a good little obedient, self sacrificing wife Isabella turns out to be by marrying Francisco and saving her father's company. Another Florence Nightingale character that is going to reverse her family's poor business sense and save the day. Such a good little submissive. Her character reminded me of an obedient dog; sit, lay down, fetch, open your legs....blah blah blah.

The story was too short to have any real substance or be considered a love story between these two. The only thing they had in common was an arranged marriage for business and BDSM. Lust and porn does not equal love.

I was so disappointed because it is a Skye Warren Novella, but every author deserves a free pass now and then. Better luck next time.

My review:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heat factor:🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I’ve been a fan of the North Security series from the beginning and this book was no different. As usual, Skye takes us right to the edge of our comfort zone with Fransisco and Isabella!

Fransisco is an exiled duke with lots of skeletons in his closet. He has no real want for a wife but he needs an heir. Years earlier, Francisco had been drawn to Isabella while she partied in one of his clubs and he has patiently waited for an opportunity to insert himself in her life.

Isabella is an heiress to a hotel fortune. However, when her brother and father run the business to the brink of bankruptcy, she is given an offer she can’t refuse. Marry Fransisco and he will save her family from ruin.

Their relationship is not conventional and at times down right uncomfortable. Fransisco shows Isabella his very dark lifestyle and expects her to submit to him in every way. Isabella is a strong woman and doesn’t submit easily.

The question is, can they find a common ground? I wish this had been a full length book so I could see Francisco evolve more in depth. I loved who he was by the end of the book. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
