Thank you for your interest in serving as a host for Pepperdine Job Shadow Program!

The Job Shadow experience may be offered in-person or virtually based on your preference as a host and your proximity to Pepperdine's Malibu Campus. Connect with current students at your office or over a video conference to introduce them to your typical work activities, provide insight into your career experiences, and support their professional development. 

Students will come prepared with questions, interest, and a desire to learn about your career path. It's also a good way to build your Pepperdine network and potentially connect you with future job candidates for your organization.

Job Shadow Program Matching

Hosts and students are matched on a rolling basis. 
Once students complete their applications, the Career Center will work to find a host that aligns with their career interests. 
Hosts will be notified when an appropriate match is made and introduced directly to their students to coordinate a mutually convenient time for the job shadow experience. 
After the initial introduction, we kindly ask our hosts to try to arrange the experience within 1-3 weeks.

Fall Job Shadow Program
Student Application & Matching Period: August 21 - September 29, 2023

Spring Job Shadow Program

The format and schedule will vary between companies but a session may include:

A tour of the company
Insight and observance of the host's daily responsibilities and activities
An informational interview with the host and/or other employees such as recent hires and alumni
Attendance at team meetings and/or organizational events
Information about the company's hiring process, career/internship opportunities, etc.
Internship/job tips, graduate school guidance, etc.

Based on your responses below, we will work to match you with a student. Although a match is not guaranteed, we look forward to matching as many students with alumni & friends of Pepperdine as possible.
