Oh this book started very fun and flirty then turned into an angst riddled ball of yum. Fun and likable characters that started off as besties then turn into more than friends with an extra character thrown in to make it a bit of a triangle, well......yes please. A bit of too many troupes, but hey, they Check all of my required boxes.
Characters and storyline were very well written and quite enjoyable. Easton and Brynn are why this story makes sense and makes you smile. If you are one for friends to lovers stories, this is the one for you.

This was such a enjoyable and fun read. I thought it was super easy to fall for these characters. The book offers such a wonderful storyline that pulls you in and keeps you fully invested. Easton and Brynn are cute, sweet and relatable, but also often frustrating. You get a good dose of angst as these two longtime friends struggle to finally open their minds (and hearts) to what has been right in front of them all along and take a chance on love. This is my freely posted, frank review.

"Every moment after this won't matter, Brynn."

As per the usual, Cassie Graham came along with her carefree and fun writing style and sucked me in from the get go. I never have to question whether or not I will have immense amounts of fun when I pick up one of her books and Maybe Ever After was no different.

First- I wanted to touch on my favorite parts about this book. Easton is number one on that list. Easton was the type of male character I am always searching for in books. He was masculine, sure but he was also the type to show vulnerability and sensitivity. And we see a lot of that in the second part of the book (which I am eternally grateful for).

"Oh yeah, another thing you should probably know about me. I was desperately in love with my best friend."

Second- the second half of this book. I am not sure if it was because it was written in Easton's POV or what but it really rocked me. I was all up in my feelings every time I turned the page and I think that's because I got to see a side of Easton I had been yearning for as opposed to the side of Brynn we had been seeing through her POV. The growth he showed and the feelings he possessed ran straight off of the pages and straight to me and for that I was so grateful for.

I struggled with the trope of this book for my own reasons. Just another personal preference that really stood in my way and I always admit openly that I hate it when it happens. Female characters like Brynn just never really sit well with me and that is no one's fault but my own. I have a really hard time understanding them and even connecting with them.

Cassie Graham is a go to for me. I will never NOT be excited for one of her new releases. I know that when I pick up one of her books I am in for the full package type of ride! Humor, fun, feelings, and angst. And when you have all of those mixed together in one, you can't go wrong. I know every one will love this story and will connect with Brynn in all of the ways that I didn't.

Maybe Ever After is a perfect mash up of a nerdy convention meets real life. Having actually attended a few conventions in my life, I loved seeing behind the closed doors of the UnNatural convention. It was a very fun setting to put these characters into, so different and it made my nerdy heart so happy! Brynn and Easton both have very interesting jobs and it makes for some very interesting situations for them to be placed in. I really enjoyed this whole aspect of the story! When Brynn befriends Jude Acklin, a main actor in the show UnNatural, it forces Easton to face his true feelings for her... and it forces Brynn to realize her own true feelings as well. (No spoilers here - that's pretty much in the blurb, and in the prologue!)

Graham did a great job with the angst in this one - I found myself wanted to snap my fingers in Brynn's face many times saying "Girl, pay attention to what's in front of you". Ha! I loved the connection she had with both guys, but I was definitely rooting 98% for just ONE of them. It was so hard to see her go back and forth with her feelings - but it was very true to her character's heart and mind the whole time. She has her reasons for staying away from Easton for years, he's her best friend - and her brother's best friend. It makes for some very confusing feelings, and I think the author did a fantastic job navigating this story with care. It is very true to a new adult type of romance - really facing what comes next, deciding what is right for you for the long term, and realizing someone might just mean more to you than you thought. Sometimes it takes seeing someone in a different light to face how you feel about them.

This was a fantastic best friends romance. I love how quirky and dorky Brynn is, and how unsure she is around Easton. She's been in love with him for as long as she can remember, and is sure that he does not feel the same way. After all, he's not just her best friend, but that of her twin brother as well. And they both work together at a fan convention company.

Easton, meanwhile, has been in love with Brynn from the moment he laid eyes on her when they were kids. After several charged moments, everything changes between them when they end up in a hotel room on a road trip following a work event and they sleep together. When they wake up the next day, their friendship has changed... but maybe not in the way that Brynn was hoping. Easton becomes moody and withdraws from her, leading her to wonder what she did wrong... and ultimately accepting a date from Jude, the star of a hot supernatual TV show and someone she knows from the fan conventions.

I wanted to smack Easton so many times during Part 1. Why was he such a jerk? But then we get to Part 2 -- Easton's POV -- and my opinion totally changed. He is so damaged, and is so insecure. He doesn't do relationships because he doesn't know how. His parents royally messed him up. And he feels so friend-zoned by Brynn (and her brother doesn't think E's good enough for her), so he hasn't wanted to try. But after one taste of Brynn, Easton knows he needs to get his own ish together if he stands a chance of being with her forever.

There is a lot of miscommunication between this couple. Even though they tried to keep things casual, it never was for either one of them. The prologue had me completely hooked, and I loved every page of this story.

The meaning behind Easton's 1556 tattoo? Oh, my heart!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Any lovers out there of friends to lovers stories, prepare to fall in love with this novel! Brynn and Easton have known each other since they were kids, work together promoting celebrity events, and, yeah, they have both been secretly in love with each forever, but they haven’t told each other. Maybe it’s an impromptu road trip or maybe it’s the threat of another guy entering the picture, but suddenly things change and these two best friends have to figure out what exactly to do with it all.

I typically write very detailed and lengthy reviews, however, after finishing this novel, my main thoughts are, this is one of the best feel-good books I’ve read in a very long time. There is truly no reason for me to go into a lot of detail because I’ve already told you that this novel centers around two best friends who think they want more, experiment with more, but then have to figure out what “more” means to them.

Both main characters are absolutely flawless and so incredibly developed you will think they are your personal friends that you’ve known forever. Moreover, Graham’s character development is so good that during the brief moments of meeting Brynn and Easton’s families, you’ll feel as if you already knew them forever. But especially the way she developed and built Brynn and Easton…. I promise you will feel as if you know them very early into the novel.

As I was saying, this novel needs no fluff or filler in its review. This is a damned good book and one of the better I’ve read recently in this genre. If you want something different, unique, yet pulls at your heartstrings, then this is your next read.

*much love and thanks to the author and Barclay Publicity for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

WOW! This book was refreshing for me because it wasn't your typical romance type book setting.

Brynn & Easton have been besties for life, along with her twin brother (whose name escapes me at the moment, but that isn't needed for the review, so on I go). They grew up together and have been close for years! All three live in California now, in the same building, and are still super close.

A fun addition to this story is what Brynn & Easton do - they work for a company that puts on conventions. UnNatural Conventions! Got some fun behind the scenes looks.

Sparks *may* be kindling beneath the surface for both of them, and probably have been for years, before an expected road trip puts them in the perfect scenario to act on them.

Enter Jude Acklin, an actor on UnNatural and all around good guy, who falls for Brynn. The love triangle will have you pulling your hair out and talking out loud to Brynn! Okay, maybe even yelling at her and wanting to shake her.

Interesting characters. Fun setting. Enough angst to make you "feel-y". And I definitely knew where I wanted her to land! Great read to kick off 2019!!

After reading some very angsty books, Maybe Ever After was such refreshing read! It was a light and fun romance! Besties since they were young, Brynn and Easton finally wake up to how they are really feeling about each other. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes in the romance book world! Cassie did not disappoint with these characters! Brynn was funny and nerdy in such a likeable real way. She could easily be someone I’d hang out with. Easton was the best friend every girl wants. He was supportive and protective of Brynn. I love the fact that they can work together and still be such good friends! It’s rare that you find supporting characters that you like as much as you like the main characters! I feel like that’s a big thing Cassie excels at. They are so real! All in all this was a fun lighthearted love story with under tones of angst and serious themes.

First I want to say that this book has all the tropes that I adore. A love triangle, friends to lovers, brother's best friend.... So I was anxious to jump into this story. I really enjoyed the fact that the main characters are quirky nerds. <3 And the friendship that Brynn and Easton have, anyone would be jealous. They've been friends since they were kids and they GET each other. Turns out that both of them want more from the friendship... and this is how the story starts for us.
These characters frustrated me as much as I adored them. I feel like a lot of the drama could have been easily avoided, but.. then what kind of story would we have? There were just a couple of places that didn't feel believable to me necessarily. That being said, I really did enjoy the story.

What an adorable story. When I first started reading it, I could not stop grinning! This plot was not what I expected and it certainly had me on the edge of my seat on several occasions.

This HEA had me talking out loud to the characters and even found myself wondering if it would end the way I felt it should.

I seriously enjoyed the pop culture references and the character development. Brynn and Easton's story is not like the others and the way that they come together has all the feels. They are completely relatable (well, to us fellow nerds) and they have struggles just like the rest of us. The fact that they love one another through it all, shows that they hold no bounds when it comes to each other.

Friends to lovers in the best way. Easton Cole is so swoon worthy! Cassie knows how to write these leading men that will show you all the feels.

All the angst! These characters drove me absolutely crazy in the best possible way!
Easton and Brynn have known each other their whole lives and fell for each other long ago. Their journey to each other is interrupted by a brother, a famous hottie, and their own fear.

Easton and Brynn are so very real...as Cassie Graham’s characters always are. But these two, along with their supporting characters, could easily be my friends and neighbors. They let their nerd flags fly and connect with so many of us before diving in and telling their story!

Many times, I wanted to shake Brynn and tell her to open up...don’t be so afraid of the truth! Her journey to that moment of truth is absolutely beautiful and she learns so much about herself along the way. From the beginning, I knew Easton and Brynn belonged together, no matter how much I loved Jude’s character as well! I have NEVER connected with a male character as much as I connected with Easton. Rather than showcasing his perfection, Graham leads with his flaws and struggles. Those imperfections explain so much about him and helped me connect with him more than ever before!

You won’t regret this book for a minute. It is the only “love triangle” I’ve been able to get behind because of Brynn’s honesty with the men in the story. She has her flaws, but deception is not one of them! Happy reading!

Wow what can I say about this story, it was beautiful and heartbreaking and soulful.

Easton and brynn, I loved this story.

Loving someone forever is a common thing now days but loving someone FOR ever is completely different, this story will warm your soul.

Earth shattering, to the core love comes only once in a lifetime and when it does you have to grab on and hold right because it doesn't come without its challenges.

This is my first book of cassies but it definatly wont be my last, her stories captivate you, they draw you in and hold you there.

So, I’ve decided that Cassie Graham is the QUEEN of writing good guys with good hearts. And, Maybe Ever After is no exception to that statement.

This original take on my favorite trope brings together Brynn Darling and Easton Cole - two lifelong BFF’s with some serious ties (and pent up sexual tension) keeping them together. The story within the pages of Maybe Ever After is a testament to the age old, “if it’s meant to be, it will be” saying.

Laced with some hilarious banter and a heartwarming backstory, Maybe Ever After has everything you need and want in a best friends to lovers story.

When the going gets tough they have each others back, but are they ready for something more? When best friends become a heart's desire are when the lines between heart and head become more than a little blurred. Maybe Ever After is the road less traveled. Brynn and Easton know the risks, yet still hunger for more. Graham stirs up the obvious emotions with a friends to lovers romance. If not a romantic this sentimental roller-coaster ride will make a believer out of you.

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers story. I loved Byrnn's quirkiness and nerdy side. I liked the goofy side of the characters. Brynn and Easton are keeping their true feelings a secret and it may just cost them their friendship. Their friendship will be tested. Great characters that instantly pulled me into the story. This book had a lot of heart and feels along with humor. It's definitely one you don't want to pass up.

This is a new author to me, and I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Brynn and Easton as best friends, as well as Easton being her brothers’ best friend as well. These two are in denial about their feeling for each other, and when Brynn meets an actor, Easton has to face up to his feeling very quickly. I felt like shaking Brynn at times to get her to see what was right in front of her nose. No spoilers though; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story, which has an abundance of angst and love. I was hooked and intrigued throughout and look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I recommend for all.

Easton and Brynn are friends. Easton is also friends with Brynn's brother. They spend a lot of time together. Brynn denies she feelings for Easton, and he does the same about her. Brynn meets someone new and Easton realizes he needs to tell Brynn his true feelings. I am amazed that Brynn never realized what an awesome guy Easton is and that deep down he had feelings for her. He is such a nice guy, and she should have seen that from the beginning. So much drama and ups and downs in this story. Read it now!!

I just finished reading this book, and would like to personally thank the author for punching me directly in the gut over and over and over! The love, the tension, the simultaneous attempts/refusals to give up on the heart's dreams....the very human look at love, and the fairly universal behavior of concocting an idea in your head of what the other person is thinking, instead of getting the information directly from them. So much time to be spent loving each other is often missed because we hold back what we feel....even when we really want to shout it from the rooftops.

Cassie - I loved this book. I heart Easton & Brynne.

Amazing and Beautifully Written

I really enjoyed this one! Graham had me cracking up, wiping away tears, and grinning like a fool right along with the characters! I love that she switched points of view for the second half of the book! Seeing things from Easton's side made things so much more dramatic and intense! I highly recommend this one!

I loved the story line and the uniqueness of the characters. If you like any fandoms and cons this is definitely the book for you. I love when an author incorporates things they truly love into their books.
The chemistry between Brynn and Easton is totally evident. After reading about Easton's past I really don't blame him for trying to live on the safe side of things. Brynn is my spirit soul with her love of BBQ sauce and chicken. I love her personality and who she is. I was on the edge of my kindle reading the book to see what would happen next.

Maybe Ever After was just the story i needed to start 2019. the angst was on point for me, and i love me some angst. learning the inside part of conventions (similar to comic-con) was pretty cool and made me want to attend one in the future! i loved the friendships that we were privy too and watching them grow stronger! Easton was by far my favorite hero written by CG so far. he showed us that not all hero’s are perfect and that’s PERFECTLY okay! he showed punched through the stigmata that men/hero’s always have it together and i really enjoyed that about his character. Brynn reminded me a lot of myself in certain ways and when you can relate to a character, it makes it even better. it made my heart so happy that she had Easton and Easton had Brynn!

So, I loved the Comic-Con aspect to this story so much! Now, names were changed, but basically they were doing conventions for a tv show a lot like one of my favorites, Supernatural. Only in this world, the obvious play on my favorite actor on the show, Jensen Ackles, is single. And he's into our main character Brynn. Like, seriously interested! But I got so mad at Easton. He honestly was being stupid in how he acted toward Brynn. Like, he kind of wanted her, but he thought his past or something meant he wasn't good for her? And really, he's the one who keeps pushing her away, even as he tries to keep her for himself.

While the characters and the dialogue and all the tv show and convention stuff kept me turning pages as fast as I could, that little part with Easton did irritate me. It was a usual type of issue in a lot of romances, something you've probably heard me complain about before. It's probably the main thing that kept me from giving it a 5, because really I enjoyed the story a lot. The author is one I will probably look to read more from in the future, or go back and try some of her other titles as I get a chance. I would recommend this as a fun, sexy, and easy read. Give it a try!

Angsty! That is the perfect word to describe what I felt when reading Cassie Grahams’s newest masterpiece. Maybe Ever After grabbed ahold of my heart and didn’t let go. I felt it squeeze tighter and tighter, held my breath as I read each word, anticipating the outcome of two friends too afraid to admit to themselves, let alone each other the truth about what they felt for one another. From one chapter to the next, anxiety took over, hoping, praying, wanting for one or both to give in to the inevitable. It was like pounding on a brick wall and hoping it would break down so nothing would be in the way of what was meant to be with the main characters.

Brynn and Easton! Where do I begin? The realistic situation built around these fictional characters was done in such a superb way. I wanted to be Brynn. She was strong, successful, talented, and beautiful . The men around her saw her for what she truly was but she didn’t see it in herself, always considering herself as a geek or dork. This fact only made her more desirable. Easton was the perfect best friend. He was lovable, reliable, and freaking hot! Most of all…Easton was Adorable. He was the best counterpart to Brynn, always reminding her how amazing she was. He was her better half but she refused to see it because she was in awe of her celebrity crush who also happen to believe she was amazing. It was a battle for Brynn’s heart and Easton wasn’t going down without a fight.

Brynn and Easton had the best chemistry of two characters I have read in years. They were so real it was surreal. Finding them in a best friends to lovers relationship became inevitable and reading it as it unraveled was the most fun I have had in forever. She had secretly hoped Easton would see her as a woman but the day she realized he saw her as, not only a woman but a woman he wanted, Brynn panicked. Once again, Easton came to her rescue agreeing to take back his confession. Instead, Brynn became the woman I knew she could be. YES!!! I cheered!

WAIT!!! The story has only just begun. There was so much more in store for Brynn and Easton.

What came next? More angst! Oh My God!! I felt like I was on a roller coaster and my mental state of mind was about to jump off. Good thing I didn’t because this story was INCREDIBLE!!! I could not wait to get to the end but at the same time wishing it would never end. There is no way this story should be passed without being read. It is nerve-wrecking but fun with a lot of sass all at the same time.

Cassie Graham brought her A game with this story. Every girl should have an Easton in her life.

Um, I think I need Brynn to be my friend, like yesterday! I mean she works at cons with the starts of your favorite tv shows... what else do you need???

Maybe Ever After starts off great! Brynn is so easy to relate: Dorky, awkward and a total fangirl! Really watching Brynn in all her dorky glory was a blast. And she's always surrounded by famous people who are so gracious...
Brynn is in love with her best friend. Since they were kids, Easton has been in Brynn's life. They are inseparable, completely in Sych but he has no clue that she has been pinning for him for the longest time. And when Brynn thinks life can't get any better, along comes Jude: Superstar, super hot, Sweetest guy on the planet. And Jude wants to take her out!

Maybe Ever After has 2 very different parts that go along very well with the main characters. Brynn is so fun and easy to relate she always makes the reader smile. And Easton is always so contemplative, grumpy even. Reading how these two danced around their feelings was painfully entertaining.

Both characters have a very defined voiced and it was easy to see how they complemented each other. They were always in synch, even when they weren't speaking and I loved how Brynn made Easton come out of his shell.

My biggest problem with this one was Jude and how he played into the story. Without being spolery, I don't really see the point in him being there. Brynn was never really attracted to him outside the fangirling and we never get to see them really connect. It also felt a bit out of character for Brynn's personality.

But even with this, I love watching how Easton and Brynn came around full cycle and face their fears. Easton's past makes him weary and their friendship is so important for noth of them...

Maybe Ever After will make growl in frustration and squee like a total fangirl over Easton and Brynn's story.
