It started out as an outlet for personal struggles and a way to cope with them through fictional fantasy and turned into a passion and need to share her aspirations with the world. Since graduating high school in 2006, H.L. Girton has spent the last eleven years being a dedicated mother and military spouse. In that time she nurtured a family of four children all while traveling the country following her husband’s career. She spent the last five years working towards her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology. She has done volunteer work with grief support organizations gaining experience with her field of study.
Currently, H.L. Girton lives in Texas with her husband, children, support dog, and lazy cat. She is an avid reader and loves it as much as she adores writing. She spends her free time sharing her devotion for it with her children. When she isn’t reading, writing or focusing on her family, she has a personal admiration for photography.

What a beautifully written story! I am still in awe. But first, if you have not read the previous books in this series stop what you are doing and read it. Trust me. You will be hooked. And it will make this novella that much more special.
Jeremiah is my favorite character and I loved hearing his story from him. Especially the beautiful and tragic love story of him and Naida. Their love is what sets things in motion. And what a beautiful love it is. Attracted to each other from the first time they meet, their love story out does any you have read before. This is also the story of man who made mistakes due to pride, heartbreak and rage. But he tries to right those wrongs and by doing so he affects the lives around him for better and worse. This really shows the internal battle I think we all go through with the decisions we make in life. I also felt like I got a better grasp on this amazing story. And it just made me crave more.
So get prepared to fall in love, cry, scream out in anger and truly engulf this world that this author has created.

This is a hidden world of werewolfs. Jerimiah is their leader and he runs the packs of the USA. This is his story that explains how he has been shaped by the world around him. He had found the love of his life only to have both her and their child torn away during childbirth. Now, 18 years later, he has found that his daughter didn't die but was hidden from her. The task of keeping her safe and running the pack tears him apart. This book is a tear jerker. You must read- The Accalia Series and each of these novellas.

Jerimiah has been my favorite character ever since the first book so I was so excited to read this book and I definitely wasn't disappointed. You learn so much about him in this book and even more than I expected. Everything he ever did was always for his pack first and foremost. His love for his family shines so bright in this book because the story is being told through Jerimiah himself. You get to hear the whole love story between him and Naida and also his devastation at losing her. I loved reading about all of the ups and downs Jerimiah had throughout the years. It truly shows him as the amazing alpha that he was.
I've loved this whole series so far but this has been my favorite book because my heart broke for Jerimiah and my heart smiled for Jerimiah after reading his whole story. It was actually heart wrenching at times so keep those tissues handy! I think I went through every emotion there is reading this story. I can't say how much I really loved this book and can't wait to read more from H.L. Girton!

If you've read all of the previous books in The Accalia Series, then you already know the ending of The Alpha will be bittersweet. But never fear, H.L. Girton swoops in and somehow gives you that HEA that you so desperately seek. Ms. Girton is one of the most gifted Werewolves & Shifters writers of today!
Jerimiah's three greatest virtues are: Love. Family. Pack. Which clearly makes him one of the best Alphas of his time. The grief he experienced over the loss of his wife and child, was heart-wrenching. So much so, that he sought revenge on the Brotherhood for their lies and betrayal. And, when new revelations suddenly come to light, it's much too late for him to negate.
I highly recommend The Alpha and The Accalia Series to everyone who loves a romantic paranormal/urban fantasy about shifters and werewolves! Five shining stars...

Reading an already familiar story from Jeremiah’s point of view was very interesting! I finally got to know how he and Naida met, and what exactly happened in Russia. What always amazes me is H.L. Girton’s ability to make every single character sound different, and it’s never an easy feat. A doomed love story, a search for a lost child, an Alpha who will go to great lengths to protect his pack from danger - this novella is just perfect in each aspect. Enjoyed it immensely. Five very well deserved stars!

And the story continues...........
With each book this series is getting better and better. Getting to know each character individually is awesome. Jeremiah was the somewhat mysterious Alpha since the first book. Getting to know his character through this book shows the devotion he has for his pack and the softer side that makes him more vulnerable. His story gutted me. So much heartbreak but yet as an Alpha he stands strong. This book explains more of the background of him and Naila, the story of Genesis, Liams story and a look into Jeremiahs duties as an Alpha. I was totally gutted by the end of this book but yet hopeful.
I you have not read this series you need to. H.L. Girton has the gift to keep you glued to the pages. This series is also a great read for a teenager. My daughter devoured each book herself and recommended it to her friends. Once again a phenomenal read by a truly gifted author.

This book is the back story and insight into the life of Jerimiah pack Alpha. From when he meets his mate to the end of the second book in this series. DO NOT read this until you read book 1 and 2 of the series for there are spoilers in this book. Once you read book 1 and 2 then this is a must read, it will give you a better understanding of all things Jerimiah and a look at the backstory of a few other members of the pack too.

Heather did it to me again! Even though I knew it was coming, I was bawling like a baby! Cannot wait for the next book in this beautiful saga to be released. My love for this family proves that you don’t have to be born by the same parents to be true family!
