I wish I could give this more than 5 stars because if I wasn't laughing, I had tears in my eyes for the love between Lindsay and Matt. What a great novella to Erin Nicholas' Boys of the Big Easy series. And bonus, you get some Logan and Gabe in the story too! Loved it!!!

If you’ve been following the Boys of the Big Easy, you’ll flip for this holiday novella featuring Lindsey, whose husband is an active serviceman. If you’re new to this terrific group of single parents, this is just the book to whet your appetite for this wonderful series and fill you with holiday cheer. Once the little ones are tucked away with a movie night and snacks, the adults break out the spiked punch and the ladies, especially, enjoy a visit from a scorching hot Santa and his racy gifts. Without spoiling anything, let’s just say that Lindsey gets the best gift of all from good ol’ Sexy Claus.

Sweet and steamy, heartfelt and humorous, and poignant and patriotic, this holiday interlude is a phenomenal addition to the series. Not only a terrific romance, this book will give you a greater appreciation for members of our military and the family members who support them. If you appreciate an author who can, time and again, craft a compelling, riveting, humorous story with eternally endearing characters, and one who has an eye for detail and a virtually flawless finished product, Nicholas is the author for you, and you’ll love this New Orleans based holiday novella.

I have absolutely LOVED this Boys of Big Easy Series! This Christmas Novella was A-FREAKING-MAZING!!!

This is Lindsey’s story, a mom with a military husband, Matt. Lindsey is in the single’s support group that has been involved in all the stories and all the relationships in this series, even though she is not “single”, she is still thrown into single parenting with Matt being deployed and gone so often. The friends she has found in this single’s group have a Christmas party, and that is where this book begins…

This story hit me hard. This shows firsthand what life can be like when someone is a member of the military, especially one that is active duty and an integral part of a deployment team. It opens your eyes to the emotions and situations of this lifestyle. I already had a deep appreciation for our military, but this just drove it deeper.

The Author, Erin Nicholas, has really taken this to a first-hand personal level, to the point that I had tears. Even while writing this review and remembering certain parts of the book, I am getting emotional. She did such an incredible job detailing scenes. That scene in the restaurant…OMG! Even though this is the quickest read of the series (it is a novella!) this may be my favorite of the series so far. (Hard to say for sure as I have fallen hard for this series! ) Anyway…this was a must-read in my book!

The book is done and out with early reviewers! One of them told me that she loved it as a Christmas story but also loved that it was a tribute to military families. That made my entire WEEK. That was just what I was going for. I'm in awe of soldiers and their families and all they do for us, so really wanted that to come through in the story. So excited for readers to read Matt and Lindsey's story!

Erin Nicholas made me cry. She has written such an emotionally beautiful story in her latest Boys of the Big Easy series, Eggnog Makes Her Easy. The love between the two main characters, Lindsey and her career Army husband Matt is heartwarming. The Army takes Matt away from Lindsey and their two little boys, Liam and Aidan for months at a time but Lindsey doesn't resent being left alone to care for the boys. She loves Matt so much that if staying in the Army makes him happy, then Lindsey is happy.

In this story Matt surprises Lindsey at the adult Christmas party held for the Singles Group she attends. While at the party a really sexy Santa arrives thanks to Logan Trahan who readers met in Taking It Easy. Santa sits in a chair all ready for the "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause" Photo Booth. Santa has a gift for all the ladies but Lindsey has to wait until last. Hers is a very special gift. Such a very special gift and surprise!

This story hit so many great highlights as I read it; joy, fun, special friendships and love. There are some very poignant moments which did bring tears to my eyes. There was the feeling of how special true friendships can be. There were also some very sexy and romantic scenes with some titilating dirty talk. It was very enjoyable to read about how Lindsey and Matt met and the importance of eggnog in their lives. Lindsey and Matt did so many Christmas activities with their sons which made this a fun Christmas read as well as a sexy one. Who wouldn't want to read a story that makes eggnog super sexy?

This was such a fun, emotional and unexpectedly hot novella. It’s an awesome nod to those who are serving our country and the families that are holding down the fort back at home.

I loved the way that Matt surprised Lindsey and the experience of seeing them both with their kids and family, packing in as much time together as they could.

Don’t even get me started on how I’ll never be able to look at eggnog in the same way and what a pleasant, steamy surprise that whole scene was!!

I absolutely loved this holiday novella by Erin Nicholas. Eggnog Makes Her Easy is part of the Boys of the Big Easy universe, following single parents in New Orleans who happen to find love.

Lindsey LaSalle is a happy mom to two boys she adores. She's technically not a single mom, since she's also happily married to Matt, a career soldier who is doing his utmost to serve and protect as he feels called to do. That doesn't mean that she doesn't struggle at times with feeling lonely or worried or just needing a sounding board. While she and Matt make every effort to share parenting and their lives by video, calls, and e-mails, the single-parents group helps fill the gaps.

Eggnog Makes Her Easy shares a little slice of Lindsey and Matt's life, starting with a heartwarming and truly heated surprise the night of their single-parents' Christmas party. Their reunion melts hearts and other parts ;)

Ms Nicholas's story is a celebration of married love, of the strength we draw from friendships, and a beautiful tribute to military families everywhere, who absolutely sacrifice many of the day-to-day moments so that the rest of us can enjoy those every day. I will definitely be re-reading this story!

Finally, I caved and took at peek at the excerpt from Nice and Easy--can't wait for that one next!

There are times when I am writing a review that I truly wish I were an author. I say this because most authors have a unique talent of put their thoughts and feelings beautifully and eloquently in their words. I really wish I had that ability to do so with this emotional, sexy, steamy, moving novella.

Erin not only gives us a spirited, sexy Christmas novella to her Boys of the Big Easy series, she also touches our hearts with her moving reflection of the emotional toll our brave military and family go through with their dedication to our country and keeping us all safe and able to enjoy our freedoms they so bravely fight for. I grew up in the military, live in a large military based community, and have several friends who have gone through deployments, and I think Erin did an excellent job with Matt and Lindsay’s story.

Even if you haven’t read any of the other books in this series, which you really should because they are all spectacular, this is not a book you want to miss. Plus, you will NEVER look at eggnog the same way again!

Bravo, Erin. Thank you for touching my heart and helping remind me what truly matters in this crazy world we live in.

Absolutely adorable!!! And sexy!! And sweet!! And steamy!! And heartwarming!! I could just stop there! Gah! It was amazing!! Erin Nicholas, how do you do it? I will never look at eggnog the same way again.
I love that I read this on Veterans Day and Matt is in the military and I didn't even plan that. His dedication to his service is so admirable and made me think of all of those men and women I know in my own life who give up so much for us. I also love that this is about a married couple with two boys who have been married for 10 years and their love and need for each other has not diminished at all despite the miles between them so much of the time.
This novella sure hit all my sweet spots when it comes to romance. I felt so many different emotions in such a short time and it was simply wonderful. What a truly great story about love, marriage, friendship, parenthood and duty! Both Lindsey and Matt are just fantastic characters and I love them both!! I would really love to get more from them down the road.

This series just keeps getting better and better. The single parents group is finding love all over the place but for Lindsey, it’s a place to talk about what troubles she has acting as a single parent while her husband, Matt is in the army overseas. This Christmas will be different since Matt has decided to surprise her and his boys for a well deserved leave.
I love seeing those welcome home videos. They always make me tear up every stinking time. This book has that same feel. Of course with a little (ok, a lot) more steam. Would I expect anything less from Erin Nicholas? Matt is torn between being home for his family and protecting families across the world. Lindsey is the worlds most understanding wife or she’s a military spouse. With this book being only 7 chapters long, it packs a huge punch. A solid relationship is seen and understood while a community rally’s around one of its own. I had all the feels while immersed in this book. I really didn’t want it to end. Hopefully we will get to see more of Matt and Lindsey in future books. Hint hint

What is supposed to be a quiet but fun night at the single parents Christmas party, Lindsey gets the biggest surprise ever. After the children leave with a sitter and the adult party starts, it's time to have some fun with Santa! Little does Lindsey know her friends Logan and Dana have set her up with the best gift she could get for the season, her husband Matt. Dressed as Santa, he has presents for each of the ladies and the best is saved as last when Lindsey realizes as she sets on Santa's lap that it's her one true love. After some sexy time alone in the conference room and thinking of getting a whole night alone, they decide to wait until the next day to let their boys know their Dad is home. What started as a two week expected stay at home with his family turns into a 72 hour visit but Matt is determined to cram as much fun into his short time with his boys and wife. It's such an emotional time, Matt wants to be with his family but he knows his heart also needs to get back to his job. Knowing his spectacular wife has things in control on the home front, he prepares to return to the other side of the world on a new mission. Share in this fun, sexy, hot, and emotional Christmas story and fall in love again with the Boys of the Big Easy in this newest book by Erin.

I loved, loved, loved this holiday novella! I must confess that I am a sucker for all things Christmas so getting a chance to read an advance copy of Eggnog Makes Her Easy was a real treat for me. I really enjoy the books in the Boys of the Big Easy series and this sweet novella is no exception. Lindsey is friends with everyone through the single parent support group that they are all members of. She's been married to Matt for a decade but he serves in the Army as is often deployed out of the country. She loves her husband and supports his career even though some days are harder than others and the Christmas season is a rough time. Matt has planned a surprise visit home and wants to make the most of his time with his wife and his two sons. This novella had me laughing, crying and fanning myself. If you haven't read the rest of the series I recommend it highly.

I can honestly say this series gets better and better with each book. Erin does it again with a short novella with the single parents we love best. Leave it to Erin to put out a Christmas novella that highlights military family’s and all they go through and the strong men and women in these relationships. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Lindsey because of the last book but I should know Erin would make me love her. I would love to be as strong and independent as Lindsey is. Her and Matt are #relationshipgoals personified. How they make big decisions together even though they are apart and keep their love so strong after 10 years of marriage, is amazing. Love love love. If you like this series you will love this book!

This is a touching military Christmas story that will melt your heart. I loved Lindsey and Matt’s relationship. The support they gave each other was phenomenal. You can see their love for each other and their family in everything they do. I have never been around military families, and this opened my eyes some to what they go through around Christmas and other holidays. I see how important it is for them to have wonderful friends and family around for the families that stay state side. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Wow! I can't say just how much I love this story. Lindsey and Matt are an amazing couple. Lindsey is a strong and independent woman, with a huge heart of gold. I'm not sure I could have been as generous or understanding or giving of my husband as she is. I'm certain I would have cried a lot more and been a bit miffed about the amount of time we had together before he had to leave again after already being gone for 7-8 months. I fully understand and appreciate her sacrifice, and that of others in her position, I'm just not sure I'm emotionally strong enough to do it. As for Matt he is a phenomenal character. The fact that he does what he does is enough for me to love him, but the fact the he loves doing it and is dedicated to it, he doesn't just treat like it's a job, he is truly passionate about it, makes him all the better in my opinion. I love how he surprised her in the beginning and I love that she says his favorite words to him at the end, and the Christmas gift he gives his boys is beautiful gesture for them and the General. Also, the eggnog scene sure did look fun. This is a phenomenal and heartwarming story that I will be reading many more times. I can't wait to see what the author brings us next in this series. Well done, Erin Nicholas!

What a great Christmas novella and addition to the Big Easy series. All our favorite characters are in the book but this novella centers on Lindsey and Matt as well as their boys. Matt is serving overseas in the Army but Lindsey stays in NOLA with the boys. Matt and Lindsey have a special relationship and the characters are developed very well. I loved these two characters and hope we get to see more of Matt in the future.

This was a super fun way to start the holiday season. I usually don’t read Christmas books until after Thanksgiving but I have gotten so attached to the Trahen’s and this new group of friends that I couldn’t wait. And I am so glad I didn’t...

Eggnog will never be the same now. Meeting Lindsay in the earlier books just gave a little glimpse of her specialness. And the picture of the Naughty Santa whetted my appetite for the story. What a story it was!!!! All the feels, all the tears and all the steamy love between a devoted, tried and tested couple was refreshing....Now I can’t wait for the next story from the Big Easy!! Kudos Mrs. Nicholas....

The NOLA series by Erin Nicholas is amazing! Each story is a standalone But collectively they make so much more. The single parent group that is at the core of the series is so real and gritty and down to earth. This book we are blessed to meet Matt who is on a surprise leave with his ‘single mom’ wife. You can feel the love, heat and chuckles in each page!

Being both prior military, and an ex military wife, I always go in to romance reads about military couples being a bit wary. Erin Nicholas went above and beyond my expectations with this book!

From the very start of this book, she had me drawn in. It’s such a fun, happy read with a few tear jerker moments added in. Matt and Lindsey are perfect together. I loved their reunion, and good lord, the sex scenes had my kindle overheating. Matt will have you yearning to be on Santa’s naughty list in no time.

A perfect holiday novella that is a must read!!!

Erin Nicholas’ Boys of the Big Easy is a series that centers on a single parents group in New Orleans. The members of the group are all single parents for a number of reasons some because they lost a loved one, some because of divorce, some because they were named guardians when a family member died, and some because their spouse works away from home often. This book centers around Lindsey whose husband is career Army and has spent more time away from her and their boys than home. This is a story of sacrifice, of understanding, of living and of love and it is not only poignant, but it is heartfelt, it is sweet, it is sexy and most of all it is magical.

After the family Christmas party for the Single Parents Support Group, the adults are having some adult time fun when Logan, one of the group members, brings out a sexy Santa who has gifts for everyone. With a head of white hair and a full beard, sunglasses and a very fit body, the women are all a twitter when he starts to have them sit on his lap and present them with gifts. Lindsey knows it is all fun and games and she knows her husband Matt would want her to enjoy herself so she sits on Santa’s lap and begins to realize she feels so comfortable there.

I loved the way Lindsey’s friends worked to surprise her with Matt’s homecoming and how much fun they both had enjoying the evening together. I loved that Matt and his boys had a ritual that only happened when he was home. I loved how they made the moments count knowing that Matt’s job would call again and he’d be gone. Most of all I loved that Lindsey didn’t make Matt feel bad when duty called and she understood his need to serve. I shed a few tears for this family and all the military families I have known in my lifetime while reading this story.

I love the title of this book Eggnog Makes Her Easy, but I want to say that while this is a fun holiday story it is so much more. Between the pages of this novella, Ms. Nicholas manages to convey the importance of the job the men and women who serve in the military are doing, the sacrifice to their lives and those in their family, and how important it is to make memories that will get them through the times they are apart. Very few authors can temper the seriousness of a situation with humor, sweetness, and sexy times, but this author just proved she can not only do it, she can do it with eggnog!

I rarely give novellas 5 stars because there is usually not enough time to get to know the characters or feel the connection between them. But you'll notice the 5 stars on this one, and I would give it more if I could. I think I cried through half of it--but in a good way. It starts off funny, then it gets super hot, and then it gets so emotional. I felt like this was a beautiful representation of what service families sacrifice for our country. I don't want to say too much about what happens because of spoilers, but I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys realistic characters with real emotions. This is a definite keeper.

I truly enjoyed reading this book!
It is a engaging, sexy & fun Christmas story. Lindsey & her single parent's
group were having an adult Christmas
party. Lindsey is married, but he husband
serves in the Army & is away a lot of
the time. She is raising their two sons.
Christmas time is when she first met Matt,
& she is difinitely missing him.
Logan had fun things planned for the night. When in walks the sexiest Santa Claus, ever! Lindsey couldn't help admire how hot Santa Claus is. Logan had arranged  presents for all the ladies, & an extra special one for Lindsey.
I loved everything about this story!!! 🎅

Cute story with plenty of heat

This was a cute and touching story. Lindsay was missing her husband at Christmas and she enjoyed watching her friends sit on Santa's lap. When it was her turn, she got the surprise of her life. I really liked this story, it had heart, sex and eggnog.

Was so happy to read about Gabe and Logan. Honestly, every book in this series is better and better. Thank you Erin!!!

This is the next book in the Boys of the Big Easy series by Erin Nicholas. This is Lindsey and Matt's story. I love everything that the author writes and this book did not disappoint.

Matt is a soldier who is home for a surprise Christmas time leave. He surprises Lindsey at the singles group Christmas party. We hear the story about how they met and the deep love and affection that they share. Matt goes off and protects the world from the bad guys while Lindsey stays at home and takes care of their good guys. They have two little boys, who Matt adores. He's a wonderful daddy. We learn how the family stays in touch during long deployments and why Lindsey supports him in his service.

This was such a wonderful story. I only wish it was longer. I chuckled and got choked up reading it. It has all the feels. You have to read this series. It's so good! You don't want to miss it.

Wow! What an absolutely amazing story. For a novella Eggnog Makes Her Easy sure gave me all the feels. This short story sure packed a lot of punch. I don't know how Erin managed to write such a comprehensive story with so much emotion and love in a novella length story but it was beyond amazing to me. It was fun, sweet, and sexy. It also made me feel ultra grateful to all our military men and women who serve our great nation. Reading about how torn Matt was about doing his duty and being with his family totally made me cry. And Lindsey, she was so strong and supportive of Matt. They're relationship was just awe inspiring. Seriously a super hot and sexy love story with so much heart.

An amazing Holiday story of a military couple. Matt and Lindsey have been married for 10 years with 2 boys, but have spent very little of that together due to his deployments. They have a system that works for them, but holidays are always difficult . This year Matt surprises Lindsey with a quick visit home at Christmastime. The love they have for each other and their boys, the spark between them - knowing their time together is short, the support of all their family and friends is just inspiring. The internal struggle Matt works thru at having to leave his family once again - wanting so badly to stay and be with the ones he loves, and equally needing to get back to work in the middle east to keep the peace is very touching. The story balances the red-hot attraction of Matt and Lindsey with the poignant issues of being a military couple. Spoiler - Be prepared to cry. But it is a good cry.

I have really fallen in love with the Boys of the Big Easy series by Erin Nicholas. This book is definitely a great addition to Gabe and Logan’s books. From the minute I picked up this book, I couldn’t put it down and even when it ended I definitely wanted to read more about Matt and Lindsey and their friends. This book had everything – the adult only Christmas party, a very special Santa made an appearance and surprised Lindsey and her sons, and major romance to wrap it all together. I was laughing and crying, this book had it all. I’m really hoping Matt will show up in a future book, loved him. I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series.
