Which I targeted because I wanted Mario Kart to reign supreme in the Kart Racing genre. With the success of Mario Kart, there were a lot of Kart racers that came into existence. The most successful of these both critically and commercially is probably Crash Team Racing. Like Mario Kart, Crash Team Racing benefits from having a cast of popular and well-known characters. And Crash Team Racing actually featured nearly double the number of playable characters when compared to Mario Kart 64 and had a story in which you needed to complete in order to unlock all of them. The game features many different modes to mix it up from the storyline adventure mode to racing against your friends. The game was well-received critically with a lot of praise for being a good Mario Kart clone (and there were some mediocre ones out there, many of which have been featured and already eliminated in this rankdown). It has sold more than 2.2 million units (in comparison Mario Kart has sold nearly 10 million units) which was considered a popular commercial success for the Playstation which had a much larger library of games than its competitors. And it's enduring popularity and success lead to the game being remastered very recently for all consoles. totes4totes Posted December 13, 2019 Share Posted December 13, 2019 @rei let me know if you want me to do the bayonetta write-up if you don't have time! i know you are the only other one who'd do a write-up as good as bayonetta deserves also, i'll do the resident evil 2 write-up as well. because again, i'm the only one who i think would do a write-up coming from a place of somebody who really likes the game/hideki kamiya is my favorite. i think tom/nico is supposed to do that one.
