Methodology:

We analysed 20 of the world’s most visited cities by international tourists and searched sources such as Wiman, Three, O2, TravelSim, TripAdvisor, Wifi Freespot and Nomadlist to discover the number of free wifi hotspots per square mile, the number of hotels with free wifi per square mile, the average internet speed, the average cost of 1MB of data and the number of airports with free wifi. We combined these results to create an overall index score for each city, revealing which was the most connected city in the world. We excluded cities that had an overall index score of less than 1.
