Make Me #2

Falling for the Playboy

Rate this book
Never trust a man who gets paid to take off his clothes for a living and then uses it as a pick-up line to get girls in bed with him.

That should’ve been enough for me to call in sick that day.

I’ve worked with male cover models like him before and they’re all the same—smooth-talking, sexy as sin, egotistical know-it-alls who think they’re God’s gift to women—all traits I know to steer clear of.

Assisting authors comes with many perks—reading on the job, using my organizing skills on a daily basis, drinking coffee by the gallons—but Maverick Kingston barges into my life and demands more than I can handle.

When we’re forced to road trip across the country together, he pushes every boundary I have and rearranges my thoughts on playing it safe. And when he “accidentally” drops his towel, he makes it very clear what he’s offering and proves he’s packing more than abs of steel under his clothes.

Working with him was brutal, but falling for him was unexpected.

And playing by the rules will be impossible.

This is a complete STANDALONE novel — filled with plenty of humor, steam, & romance! 18 & up only due to explicit sexual content, language, and adult content.

Olivia works as an assistant to a bestselling author. Rachel has her running ragged , even shopping for her and taking her dog for walks. Olivia has no free time. Even when at home she is working.
Maverick is a up and coming model but right now is a model for Rachel's Romance covers. When he needs to be at some book signings is when everything starts. Because of a tragedy in his past he won't fly. So Olivia has to pick him up and drive him to where they need to be. She insists he is a playboy and he insists she is a priss. With all this banter going on between them I was laughing out loud. Of course since it is a romance you know that they will end up together but getting to the end is what was fun reading this book. They also had to prove to each other that they were not who the other thought they were. I recommend this book for romance readers.

Olivia needs to grow a spine

The book for the most part was ok. I liked the beginning of the book better, but the ending got boring. Olivia was basically an indentured slave to her writer boss. I couldn't believe how much she was told to do. I'm not sure how much she was paid, but it is not enough. I thought Olivia's character needed to stand up for herself, even at the end she didn't do it, but instead Maverick had to do it for her. And Maverick. The name is terrible and so cliche - really? A cocky playbook named Maverick? His character didn't seem to have too much substance, he liked to workout, liked women and liked to be ogled.

****AVAILABLE NOW - FULL REVIEW ****

You know why I love Kennedy Fox’s Bedtime series so much, because they are fun. Just good romantic fun. The banter, the chemistry, and the romance are just entertaining. Readers get all of it in a read in one sitting love story.

Maverick is just pure perfection. Hot cover model with charm equals swoony goodness. He had just the right amount of heart and charm to have me feeling all gooey inside. It isn’t hard to see why the heroine would fall in love with his personality as much as the abs.

Oh, Olivia. She is great. Through her, we see the PR side of the book world, and working for a demanding author. Her jobs earns sympathy from the readers, and we want her to break free from the confines of her job and live.

What really made me love this book, though, is the whole book world aspect. Seeing the book signings, the cover model, the planning of books, is just awesome! It added something extra to it all. Plus, seeing a cover model and PA fall in love is epic. He makes her a bit more free, and she makes him want a life he never dreamed of. And, as always, Kennedy Fox gives us an HEA that has our hearts swooning.

I love this series. Shorter than their normal novels, but with all the steam and chemistry we have come to love from these ladies! A must read!

“I could love her if she’d let me. If she’d tear down her walls and let me inside, I’d give her everything.”

Falling for the Playboy by Kennedy Fox is all about pushing buttons and boundaries, facing fears, and falling head over heals in love when you’re trying so hard not to. It’s absolutely hilarious, ridiculously steamy, and oh so original! I had a blast devouring this love story from beginning to end! Maverick and Olivia were great characters with an insane enemies-to-lovers vibe. Their chemistry and banter was on point and I had the biggest smile on my face the whole way through. If you’re looking for a down and dirty, flirtatious, humorous, and romantic read, look no further…Kennedy Fox Bedtime Reads HAS GOT YOU!

I loved the Bad Boy. I fell hard for the Playboy. Now I’m ready to DROP EVERYTHING for the Cowboy! Bring. It. On.

Olivia is the personal assistant to a famous romance author who is more than a little demanding. Olivia bends to Rachel’s every whim and keeps her “bible” full of pertinent info on hand 24/7. So when Olivia gets asked to road-trip with the cover model—Maverick—of Rachel’s most famous series for their signing tour, of course Olivia can’t say no.

Rachel’s one rule? No fraternizing. Olivia scoffs at the idea—sounds easy as pie, no problem. Yet somehow, Olivia finds herself breaking all her rules for Maverick…

Make Me Crazy by Kennedy Fox is book 2 in the Make Me series. I love a good opposites attract romance and this definitely satisfied my craving. I loved how much Maverick pushed Olivia’s buttons and the two of them really complemented one another. Their romance was surprisingly slow burn and I enjoyed seeing their romance develop naturally. My favorite aspect was Maverick facing his fears for Olivia and her doing the same, in her own way. Very cute road-trip romance! 4/5 stars.

NO SPOILERS!

Falling for the Playboy was a quick, fun, light read that was full of heart, heat, and humor. Kennedy Fox is an amazing author duo, and I loved their writing style and the storyline and characters they created. The Bedtime Reads series has been excellent so far, and I can't wait to read the final standalone, Falling for the Cowboy!

The storyline was wonderful. Kennedy Fox did a fantastic job with the plot, and I loved the enemies-to-lovers aspect they incorporated. The push and pull between the two main characters was great, and I was highly entertained from beginning to end. Even though each book in the Bedtime Reads series is on the shorter side of a full-length novel, it didn't really feel rushed. I've enjoyed this series very much, and can't wait to read more!

The characters were amazing. Maverick and Olivia were quite the pair, and I loved them and their story. I loved their personalities and red-hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. Even though they were total opposites, they complemented each other very well and were a great fit together. I loved reading the book from both Maverick and Olivia's point of view, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. Other than one particular side character, I really enjoyed the secondary characters as well, and liked their addition to the story. Maverick and Olivia's story was fun, sexy, and entertaining, and I was very happy with the conclusion.

Falling for the Playboy was a fun, light, sexy, and entertaining standalone contemporary romance, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Kennedy Fox did an incredible job with Maverick and Olivia's story, and I was very pleased with the outcome. The Bedtime Reads series has been some of my favorite work from Kennedy Fox so far, and I can't wait to read more from this amazing and talented author duo!

Getting your heart broken is one thing, but breaking someone else’s heart is torture.

A good read. Olivia is uptight, and Maverick is a playboy. Maybe. Or maybe they are those things and so much more. These two take a road trip to follow an author they both work for. Olivia as the PA and Maverick as the exclusive cover model for the authors series. Despite them being complete opposites, seemingly not getting along, and their bosses strict no fraternizing between employees rule... they can’t seem to stop themselves from falling. Such a good read. It’s slow burn. The banter is witty and fun, and it’s just a good read. It’s also an interesting POV I’ve never read before. The life of an authors PA!

Falling for the Playboy is the second book in Bedtime Reads by Kennedy Fox - all these books can be read as standalones and are very quick reads.

As with the first book, this was book was just ok for me - right down the middle. There were parts, I really enjoyed and other parts that I did not care for. I felt certain areas needed fleshed out more to possibly explain dynamics between certain characters. Let me explain myself.

I really enjoyed the idea behind this plot - cover book model and author assistant go from enemies to lovers. I enjoyed how this part of the story plays out. The interactions between Maverick and Olivia are what I loved most about this book and what kept it from getting a lower rating. So you are problably wondering why I didn't rate it higher if that's what this book is about. Enter Rachel (no this isn't a love triangle).

Rachel is the author who Olivia is an assistant/door mat to and also the author of the books that Maverick is the cover model on. I despise Rachel - she is Satan incarnate. She treats Olivia like the gum on her shoe and Olivia just takes it. I hated that. Olivia this great "take no nonsense" attitude and strictly business with Maverick, yet she can't stand up for herself against her boss. This is where I wish things were fleshed out more and maybe the explanation of dynamics between Olivia and Rachel were explained versus how Olivia is able to have a more stronger hand towards others - I hope that makes sense.

Then there was the ending - I wanted more!!! It wasn't a terrible ending, I just wish we had more between Rachel and Olivia play out. Again - flesh things out for me.

As I said, I enjoyed the book, the storyline, the dialogue and interactions between Maverick and Olivia - they made the story. So if you can look beyond Rachel and her part in all this, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. There are a lot of hilarious moments and watching Olivia and Maverick go from standing one another to more was fun to read.

Olivia is the Personal Assistant to the bestselling author that treats her like crap. When the author hires the cover model to appear at events with her, Olivia must travel with Maverick because he does not fly. During their road trip Maverick and Olivia forge a bond that shows them both that there is more to them than the initial reactions of a playboy and a pushover personal assistant. This story was a little douchy in the beginning but then it got funny and sexy.

Funny, flirty and really a perfect curl up on the couch type of read.

I forgot how much I enjoy this writing duo. It's been a while since I have had the opportunity to grab one of them and I am super pleased I was able to read this one.

Olivia has a classic case of works too hard and too much. She loves her job but working for the devil isn't easy. But armed with her "bible" and notebooks she makes miracles happen. Everything runs on time, every detail is planned seamlessly and nothing will keep get the stick from her rear...except she never anticipated the likes of Maverick.

Maverick is a playboy. He is a beautiful model who does lack for female company. He is a bit arrogant, likes to ruffle feathers, and doesn't really being on time. But under all of those muscles, he is quite charming and actually pretty funny. But he is about to embark on the road trips of all road trips, with Miss Priss and two weeks to figure her out.

This was an interesting look at the book world. Olivia is a PA for a well-known bestseller. She works like a dog with no praise. But she likes her life controlled but there is no time for fun or to let her hair down. Her crazy schedule does not have room in it for a relationship but even she can't deny the insane chemistry she and Maverick has. Maverick who seems like he might just be a pretty face actually has a lot going for him. He reads, is smart and thoughtful. And when he is not arguing or pissing Olivia off he too feels this connection.

This was a perfect book for my couch and coffee. It had great flow. I was completely into the story that I was a little sad when it was over. I laughed-out-loud, swooned, and wanted to throat punch the devil. Overall, just really an enjoyable book. Now I really want to know what happens in Texas for a certain photographer though.

Falling For The Playboy is an adorable read that had me snickering and almost wondering to myself if this was possibly loosely based on a real story.

I mean it could happen. Authors PA meets Authors cover model, both are single....

Funnily enough I was just at an author signing and so this book was just perfect and had my imagination running wild. Olivia was hard working and tried to be by the book as much as possible. She was all business and let’s just say that the Author she works for well she needs a smack for how she treats Olivia.

Maverick was what you would picture a cover model to be, hot, a bit cocky while being charming at the same time. He likes to push Olivia’s buttons and it’s entertaining as hell. This book starts off with them almost as enemies and as they spend more time together they discover there’s more then meets the eye.

A fun, flirty and entertaining read that I would absolutely recommend.

What ISN’T there to say about yet ANOTHER KF read?! I loved it IMMENSELY! The characters, the story line and the plot was probably one of my most favs EVER! And I think that’s what really made this book SO incredibly relatable! A look into the author life is always fun to hear, watch, listen, and READ about for me. So this story line was not only right up my alley but just made me SO giddy and happy as I read!

The point of a Kennedy Fox Bedtime Read holds true! And I love it because I’m not a fan of insta love. Like I LOATHE it. And I wouldn’t be shocked if a few people went into this series thinking that’s what it is. But IT ISN’T! And I love and respect KF even more for creating a read of this sort without it being thrown into that category for us non insta love peeps! It can be read in one sitting and enjoyed just as much if not more like a normal full length KF novel (which is normally pretty hefty)!

I read this book on Google Play Books
Olivia is an overworked and under appreciated assistant for an author. She is scheduled to go on a book tour with a famous playboy and book cover model, Maverick Kingston.
Olivia is an orderly workaholic, Maverick is laid back and knows he’s gorgeous.
Maverick doesn’t fly for personal reasons and Olivia doesn’t do relationships for personal reasons.
This is a slow burn romance, lots of attraction and sexual tension. I couldn’t stand Rachel, Olivia’s boss, a demanding and selfish person. What I liked was how they got to know each other first and towards the end of the two week book tour things get started 🔥
Overall it’s a good fast read with a great hea and epilogue, and I love epilogues ❤️

Falling For The Playboy is the second book in Kennedy Fox's Bedtime Reads series. This novel takes us on a roadtrip with a cover model named Maverick and Olivia who also happens to be an author's personal assistant.

Throughout this journey we see Olivia as a control freak, planner and everything. But when Maverick steps onto the scene he slowly shows her that life isn't all about planners and schedules. In order to truly admire the beauty of life, you sometimes have to live life on the edge. I loved the little moments where Olivia and Maverick opened up to each other. There are so many layers to each character.

I'm not going to lie, I gave Falling For The Playboy a three star rating because even though I liked the chemistry and the couple, it took me a long ass time to actually get into this novel. I had issues in the beginning. I didn't like the fact that Olivia was such a pushover when it came to her annoying as hell boss. I would have liked to see more fire from her in the beginning.

Overall, I did enjoy Falling For The Playboy after the thirty percent point. It was a fun read. However, I found myself skipping through to the good juicy tidbits between maverick and Olivia. But in no way was this a 'read in one sitting' for me. I think I'm most intrigued to read Falling For The Cowboy! Ah, I love a man in a cowboy hat and wranglers!

⭐️ 4.5 "The Model & the Workaholic" Stars ⭐️
Falling for the Playboy, a new addiction to the Bedtime Reads collection, is a winner! This romance is filled with Kennedy Fox’s signature witty banters and wonderful protagonists.

Olivia and Maverick are so sweet and funny to watch. I found myself smiling through their absurd, yet comic conversations with underlying tones of attraction. They’re both so different, the male model with a cocky attitude and the workaholic obsessed with her schedule, but they just click so well together.

Maverick is such a sexy, self-assured, sweet and funny hero. He’s more than the stereotype self-centered guy. The way he always tries to irritate Olivia is so amusing. Olivia is dedicated to her job, but he shows her how to have a good time and enjoy herself a little more through their journey. The sparks these two create is incredible and I couldn’t get enough of them! Their romance develops at the perfect pace and their sexy moments are steamy hot, but also filled with emotions.

I though the story had a slow start in my opinion, but the characters’ charming and interesting personalities eventually grabbed me in! Falling for the Playboy might appear as a light and funny read at first, but there’s also some stirring parts making this read solid and multi-dimensional. Kennedy Fox did it again! They created a very entertaining romance that I couldn’t put down!

What a great story from the fantastic duo known as Kennedy Fox!!

This story is one I have not seen written before- or anything like it at all.

This is the story of an author’s assistant and a cover model- two complete opposites. She’s uptight and prissy. He’s sarcastic and arrogant and he likes to push her buttons. They are like oil and water at first and get on each other’s nerves but they start to get along and have amazing chemistry.

Maverick and Olivia are so great together. From their banter in the beginning to them getting along, their relationship is fantastic. They are so much fun!

I really enjoyed how the story is about an author and her career and schedule and signings- all things to do with the book world- something that I love so much.

I seriously swooned and smiled while reading. This story made me feel all warm and fuzzy. It’s funny and witty and sweet. It’s fantastic!

"Falling For The Playboy" was so amazing! It was so funny and sexy! I loved it!! Olivia is a badass assistant! Maverick is a sexy as sin model. One is super focused a on task. The other is laid back and likes to have fun. Being together on a road trip is defiantly interesting. It was so fun! I smiled and swooned. I loved and hurt. This book has everything. I loved the build up of Maverick and Olivia's relationship. It was definitely not smooth sailing. Olivia was judgmental at first. Maverick wanted to get under her skin. Together 24/7 for nearly two weeks is a recipe for some funny times. I loved how they both opened up. They both saw beneath the others mask. This was definitely a fun and super sexy, heartfelt read. I will always recommend this book!!!

Falling for the playboy was such a fun read!

Maverick and Olivia are like oil and water at first.

They just don’t mix!

Maverick is flirtatious, charmingly arrogant and seems to take life in stride while Olivia is uptight and has every moment of her day planned and on a strict schedule.

They both seem to enjoy pushing each other’s buttons and the result is an entertaining read complete with witty laugh out loud banter, and a palpable sexual tension that will leave you anxious for them to FINALLY give in!

This is a perfect weekend read that is light on the angst, sweet, sexy and guaranteed to leave you sighing with a smile on your face.

This book was a fun read; fast story line and the take on the hard working but high maintenance best-selling author was good. It made me see that our authors, who write and move us to laughter, tears, deep thinking and growing up are also people with their own high pressure lives and issues.
I liked the hard working h and while H started as an overgrown child, I liked that he was the one who eventually pushed the h to give their relationship a chance; he made more effort to sustain a long distance relationship.
Worth reading
Rachel and Olivia reminded me a little bit of Miranda Priestly and Andrea from The Devil Wears Prada - a gentler version of course

I love any book that Kennedy Fox comes out with. She never disappoints. Such phenomenal work.

Maverick and Olivia were so adorable. I love how they were the polar opposite of each other because it brought out the best in each other. I love their story because it shows that you have to stop living for others and live for yourself, enjoy life.

Omg I cannot stand Rachel. LOL I wanted to slap her around a few times wake her up tell her to treat people better.

5 They Fall Hard Stars!!!

Thanks to the surprise amount of snow we got yesterday I was able to finish this book in one sitting and oh my goodness this book has now become my favorite by this writing duo!! Olivia and Maverick couldn’t be more opposite, and they have very distinct idiosyncrasies and they let them be known on a daily if not hourly basis!!

What I also really loved about this book is that it takes place in the bookworld that I LOVE and ADORE as Olivia is the personal assistant to a best-selling author and we get a peak into what it’s like in the inner sanctum of what it takes to keep an author’s life running smoothly…at least from the outside anyway.

Maverick is a cover model and is scheduled to appear at a signing that Olivia’s boss Rachel is attending in Dallas. Here’s the thing though, he’s in LA, Olivia is in Chicago and the signing is in Dallas…not usually a problem given airplanes. But Maverick doesn’t fly and so begins a road trip that literally changes everyone’s lives. These two are hilarious together. She’s very organized and has everything planned down to the last minute and then there’s Marverick who basically flies by the seat of his pants!

While there were so many times I snort laughed at these two and their almost one-upping each other, there were also some beautiful emotional moments with them that made my eyes tear up just a little. And lest we forget, there’s definitely some chemistry that leads to some oh so hot sexy times!

Overall, this is a book that everyone would enjoy reading because it has it all. Great storyline, great pacing, characters both main and secondary that I couldn’t help but love and an HEA that brought a HUGE smile to my face!

always love a good romance that developed during road trips. olivia is aware of maverick’s reputation as a playboy from the start. the handsome and charming model knows he’s attractive to the ladies. maverick’s first impression of olivia: she’s uptight and unable to relax. as we read on, it’s obvious that olivia’s job is very demanding. this girl needs a break and a vacation AND A GODDAMN MASSAGE.

the banter is hilarious, and the characters clearly have intense chemistry. maverick is able to open up to olivia about his fears and his past while olivia relaxes around him. spending so much time made them closer and soon feelings grew. even though it’s a short book, the authors developed the romance and attraction expertly.

Enemies to lovers + roadtrip? Doesn't it just sound so freaking fun? You better believe it was! And not just because of the banter and insane chemistry between Maverick and Olivia but also because I got to live through all the ins and outs of an author's life and also what it's like to be at an actual book signing I see everyone going to all the time.

I loved those parts, even though Rachel was a real asshole. Seriously, she was the definition of a rude hell-boss. Poor Olivia was so overworked, stressed and had no social life... Until she goes on a roadtrip for work purposes and meets Maverick Kingston, Rachel's cover model. He ends up changing everything even if it's a slow process. Her life just isn't the same after she meets him, and thank god for that because Olivia needed to realize her worth and how she deserved to be treated better than the slave Rachel treated her as.

Maverick is known for being a player because he is this super sexy model who can have any woman he wants, until he meets Olivia that is. She is the first woman who doesn't fall at his feet and actually doesn't even like him at first sight. He sees that as a challenge and things become even more interesting after that, his sole mission is to piss her off. Along the way, while Maverick sees how much Olivia does and how she puts everything before herself, he starts to like her and Olivia sees how great of a guy Maverick really is when he helps her and while they get to know each other.
I got to say he definitely surprised me, he turned out to be a different guy than the one we first meet and I loved that because he turned out to be such a sweet and romantic guy. He is so much more than the playboy model the world makes him out to be. He has his own tragic past just like Olivia, and that connects them even more once they open up with each other.

I adored Maverick and Olivia. Their story might be a bit of a insta-love, since they only spent 2 weeks together, but I enjoyed it so much. It was so fun and entertaining at first, and omg Vada and Ethan appeared... I was so happy. And their on going bet over Maverick and Olivia only made the situation funnier. I loved it!

It wasn't all fun and games though. They had to work for their relationship, it wasn't easy but it was amazing and I loved every second of it. Mr. Playboy and Ms. Priss were meant to be.

I absolutely loved KENNEDY'S FOX new book, Falling for the Playboy.

I adore this girls since I read their first book long time ago, and nothing didn't change till this days.

When I heard that they will publish another book in this series I was dying to read it! And.... once again they didn't dissapionted me ! I devorued Falling for the Playboy. I read IT in speed of light, breathless with  lot of sighing around. Readers every kind, You could be sure, this book is unputable 😉.

I really liked that Kennedy Fox always give me great female characters, and bad boys with golen hearts.

For starters I'm big fan when it comes to "girl next door" type, so I loved Olivia from page no1.

Olivia is amazing young woman, I'm sure that in real life we could be besties. Her past wasn't easy, but she managed to stay sweet, good girl, who with her hard work achived a lot... When she meet Maverick I KNEW !!!! This couple will give me great time !!!! Maverick is verryyyy calm, where Olivia could be tense too much. He could be real jerk, who knows exactly what to say and do, to make Olivia loose her mind... litelary. BUT  let's be honest here... I LIVE for  banter like this one 😉 Why ??? Because I'm sure, even if  Maverick could give Oliva hard times,  he's still her one and only PERFECT MAN.

I'm so happy that we have another books in this series, can't wait to put my greedy hands on them !

Thank You Dear Kenbedy and Lovely Fox for next wonderfull amazing journey, full of love, passion and laugh.

Merged review:

Falling for the Playboy, book two in Kennedy Fox’s Bedtime Stories series was exactly what I needed. I found myself smiling a lot throughout and I couldn’t wait to see how long it took for Maverick and Olivia to break the rules and explore each other in the carnal sense!

Olivia, or Miss Priss as Maverick loves to call her, is a great female lead, and I love how the authors allowed an insider’s look from someone who works her butt off for an author in the publishing world. From Olivia’s perspective, readers see just how much time and effort go into promoting books and how much pressure it can be for an author to keep perfecting the craft, attracting new readers, which, in turn, makes an author’s assistant’s life hectic and more than a little time consuming. Olivia’s focus, for much of the story, is solely on her job, on her schedules, on her daily planners, on the gratuitous number of ‘jobs’ Rachel gives her, but when Maverick is forced into Olivia’s life, basically turning it upside down but also making her life and experience life outside of her job, Olivia starts to see what her life could be like if only she had the courage to be illogical and base decisions on her heart/emotions instead of her head/facts.

Maverick is all kind of hunky goodness, but what I love most about him is that he’s also a stand-up guy. He may flirt a little too much and enjoy female attention more so than other men, but it’s his charismatic demeanor that makes women flock to him and that’s something that just comes naturally to him. I loved getting inside his head and seeing exactly what he thought about Olivia, especially the moments when he started to realize that there is a lot more to the prissy author assistant than he originally thought. The way Maverick shows Olivia with texts/face time that they can make things work regardless of the long distance - that he has fallen for her and wants her in his life was so endearing and it truly showed readers who Maverick is beneath the six-pack abs and wicked smirk.

I love how Olivia and Maverick let down their grounds with each other and learned things about one another that most do not know about them. I could tell even at the onset of their cross country road trip that as much as they got on each other’s nerves and under one another’s skin, there was also a simmering attraction…a connection that allowed them to be who they are behind the personas they seem to always wear.

The narrators who voiced Olivia and Maverick, Vanessa Edwin and Aiden Snow, did a fantastic job in bringing these two characters to life. It was easy to sense the hero and heroine’s fluctuating emotions as the story progressed and the scenes with banter and steam allowed listeners to envision exactly what was occurring in these comical and sexy moments.

Falling for the Playboy by Kennedy Fox is an entertaining, endearing, and smexy read and listening to the audio version of it made a great story even better!

~ 5 Mr. Playboy Stars ~

I am loving this writing duo. Kennedy Fox is becoming a favorite read for me. I am so happy I took the chance and picked up this series.

Falling For the Playboy is an entertaining read that I would consider a romantic comedy but also has the feels you get from an emotional read. I was laughing at the banter between Olivia and Maverick….talk about opposites attract. But I was also drawn to them as characters because of their backstories. My heart went out to both of them.

I loved the storyline of this book. I have always wondering about the behind the scenes of an assistant to a famous author. What all goes into making a signing and book tour work. I was totally interested and invested in this story and the characters. I loved the flow and pace of the story!!

Falling For the Playboy is the second book in Kennedy Fox’s Bedtime Reads Series. This is a standalone novel, and I don’t think the books need to be read in order. But you do meet Olivia in the first book….Falling For the Bad Boy. I enjoyed getting to know Olivia better in this book. I liked seeing her growth throughout the story. She was a little uptight and rigid in the beginning, but her backstory explains why that is and meeting Maverick surely opens her eyes to new things.

In this book we follow Maverick and Olivia on their road trip to a HEA. Olivia like I said, was introduced in book 1 as Vada’s assistant. Now she is the assistant to Rachel who is a famous author, but is extremely demanding. I didn’t like Rachel much in this story!! Olivia is over worked, over stressed and extremely uptight. So when she finds out she has to drive to Rachel’s book tour with the cover model, Maverick, she is not very thrilled about it. What makes it worse is that Maverick is determined to push Olivia’s buttons. Can Maverick break through Olivia’s tough exterior?? Can these two find their HEA?? What happens when the road trip comes to an end?? Read this story to find out!!

I enjoyed that we got to see Vada and Ethan again in this story. I also liked the set up for Presley’s book….Falling For the Cowboy coming out early 2019. I always love romances with cowboys in them ;)

If you like an opposites attract story with off the charts chemistry, and witting banter, then you should pick up this book. It is definitely worth the read!!!
