AUO to develop both silicon and thin-film solar power, says president

LCD panel maker AU Optronics (AUO) will develop both thin-film and silicon solar power, with the two types of photovoltaic (PV) technology expected to have an equal share of the market in 2015, according to company president and CEO, LJ Chen.
