Do you have experience of developing and performing shows and workshops to children in an educational context? Do you have strong interpersonal and organisational skills?
We are looking for a talented Outreach Developer to organise and deliver inspirational learning experiences to all audiences, aged 3-16, schools, adults and family groups, raise the profile of the Museum, and promote outreach services to other museums and institutions. We have visited schools, communities and festivals nationally and internationally for over 15 years. Events range from storytelling to shows, make-and-take workshops and hands-on experiments for festivals.
In addition to performing inspiring science shows, you will research and develop new events for schools, communities and under-represented audiences. You will plan all operational aspects of our outreach activity, cultivating relationships with teachers and community leaders, and assisting with the delivery of other museum projects.
You will have experience of developing shows and workshops for children aged 4 to 16 in an educational context and excellent presentation skills. As well as being able to manage your time effectively, you will have experience of working with multiple stakeholders and excellent problem solving skills. You must also have a valid UK Driving Licence and be open to travel away from home, both nationally and internationally as well as some weekend working.
