VERO BEACH — MusicWorks, Inc. and Paris Productions announce that David Crosby will perform a special concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Emerson Center.

Crosby, 77, a two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee (with the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash) will be performing in Vero Beach for the first time.

In a career that has spanned six decades, the native Californian has created songs that serve as cultural touchstones for more than three generations, not only as a solo artist, but as a founding member of The Byrds in the mid-60s, Crosby, Stills & Nash (recipients of the Grammy Award for best new artist in 1969), and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

He’s collaborated with dozens of artists, including Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Phil Collins, Elton John and Carole King.

The folk rock pioneer was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009. His songs such as “Almost Cut My Hair” and “Wooden Ships,” became social anthems during the turbulent 1960s and ’70s.

He remains politically active and often donates concert proceeds to causes he supports.

In the last four years, Crosby has released three solo albums, including the just-released, "Here If You Listen," a collaborative recording with Michael League, Becca Stevens and Michelle Willis.
