Scots punters rage as B&M store already selling CHRISTMAS gifts in high street shops – full month before Halloween
Christmas goodies went on sale at an Aberdeen retail park shop and social media was divided over the issue
SCOTS punters were up in arms after spotting CHRISTMAS gifts in stores - three months before the big day.
A B&M shop in Aberdeen stocked their shelves with selection boxes and had traditionalists raging at how early the items are being sold this year.
The Cadbury goodies lined the counters in the Kittybrewster store - but plenty of people took to social media to lambaste the store for offering the choc before even Halloween has even rolled around.
An online post shared a snap of the boxes on sale with the caption: "September... and thus it has started", accompanied by a sad face emoji.
It received almost 500 likes and reactions within a few hours of going live.
And loads of irked customers bombarded the post with their complaints - with some even vowing to boycott the shops.
One said: "Noooo please noooo - it’s far toooo early - wait until the end of November - that way your not sick of seeing everythin get Xmasy".
One wrote: "Just another commercial card holiday. Best boycotting it. Apart from the party food in December of course".
Another wrote: "Name the shop so people can stop using it".
M&S is launching a Christmas gin flavoured with festive spices – but it comes at a price
A fourth commented: "Good grief! We haven’t seen Halloween yet!"
One person replied: "This is wrong, totally wrong. Halloween comes first! Lol", before another added: "I love Christmas but this is wrong on every level".
Others defended the shops' decision to get their chrimbo brands out early doors.
