I loved this one. It wasn't what I was expecting but it was fucking amazing. Tap really has trust issues but with Sasha all of them kind of go away. Can't wait to see who falls in love next.

Series Review – 5 Smouldering Sexy Helpers of the City - Stars
This series is so much fun, irritating characters at times but so much fun, time well spent!

“Don’t look at me like that, kid. We’re the Dead Presidents because we gave everything for our country, and the powers that be seem to have forgotten we even exist. I know you haven’t met him yet, but my dad doesn’t mince words. If we were one-percenters, acting outside of the law, he would have named us the Impeached Presidents or Dirty Senators. Some shit like that.”

5 Books to the series, each dedicated to a different couple, one MC member and some newly introduced lucky lady in each book. Basically we don’t get to meet our bachelorette until her book, while the guy would have been mentioned in passing in previous books, except for Link as he is the first. And we get to see the previous couples in subsequent books as they are a community and it would just be weird if they totally disappeared. Each book covers a different issue to its conclusion, so no cliffhangers, even though some issues are related.

The Dead Presidents Motorcycle Club is a home for the veterans who are still looking for that structure and brotherhood they used to be part of in the military. They are all about helping their community, they don’t do illegal stuff and they actively try to assist the down and out veterans who need that “brotherhood” support. Brotherhood being an operative word because the acceptance prerequisite to the club is that one be an ex-military, no drug use and have a dick. Which really sucks because the series has some great ladies who have served but they don’t qualify because of the “D” requirement. This is an asshole rule and the guys know it.

“To the luckiest assholes on the planet. How the fuck did we end up with such great women?” I had to laugh. It was a damn good toast. “To assholes, and the women who put up with us,”

That’s about the only thing I hated about this club, well me and all the ladies in the series. Except for this major discrimination factor, these guys are saints, if you can overlook the MC culture of club whores, old ladies, properties and all other things that lovers of this genre don’t concentrate on, but most other people find demeaning to women.

Book 1 - Link, the club president, super alpha with Neanderthal tendencies, protector to everything ‘’family” and can’t stand to see a veteran suffer; and Emily, a badass criminal lawyer that makes police officers and prosecutors wet their pants, that the club wants to hire to defend one of them who is being accused of attempted murder.

Book 2 - Havoc, Sargent at Arms with PSTD and a heart of gold who literally helps old folks cross roads; and Julia, a former high society, trained super-bitch with a stalker ex-husband and rich-girl family issues but is not afraid to use a gun to solve her problems.

Book 3 – Wasp, the club VP, a jokester, never serious and all about poking the bears, born and bred trouble maker; and Carly, a single mom with the most adorable 5yo son, Trent, who takes everything literally and makes the most inappropriate jokes at the most inopportune times and can argue circles around anyone, hands down my favourite character in the whole series. Carly is running from her past and so not looking to settle down or trust anyone and is ready to bolt at any given time.

Book 4 – Eagle, a designated protector tormented by the memory of the one he couldn’t save; and Naomi, military career, only female helo pilot in her squad, who has always had something to prove and had to work twice as hard as everyone just because she was not born with the right plumbing. Including her family that founded the Dead Presidents MC but she is not allowed to join because she is a she.

And last but not least
Book 5 – Tap, my absolute favourite, after Trent of course. He is an enigma, secretive to a fault and doesn’t trust anyone, including his club brothers, and no one knows anything about him until; Sasha who lived a hard life but has not been tainted by it, instead it made her determined to serve the victimised at any cost, no price is too high to pay when trying to help those in need of her service.

Great best friends - I loved the clichés and stereotypes with these ones, they worked.

Jayson, all things “gay best friend”, if you have ever come across one. Loved the character.

Monica, the best black girl friend, “she was bold and assertive, skating the line between cocky and confident like an Olympic champion…” I could totally picture her saying “Bitch, please!”

My take on the series:
It was too much fun reading this series. Even though the characters, especially male characters, were a bit misogynistic, the writing was not. You could feel the frustration for the situation in the writing which made the reader believe that this is a character view and not the writer’s stand. I also loved the diversity of the characters, from career women to struggling strong single moms, MCs across different races and ladies who were not always damsels in distress. I love that the ladies came together at the end and realised that if you can’t join them, screw them, literally, and come up with your own better version.

I love that the writing was not repetitive. I have come to realise that with most series, reading the books back to back doesn’t work because half of the next book is spent reiterating what happened in the previous books, this series does not suffer that fault.

My one disappointment is that Jayson did not get a piece of action with one of the club members but hopefully it might still come, even if it’s a novella, I will take it. I will not be happy with a story within some other couple’s book. Jayson deserves his own book, pretty please with a cherry on top!

Favourite Quotes

Book 1
“Do you vibrate?” I asked, matching his hard stare. “Do you spin and pulse? Can I shove you into that perfect spot right where I need you until my juices are flowing down you?” He just stared at me, clearly surprised by my blunt words. Point for me. “No? I don’t really see a benefit to using you over one of my toys, then.”

“Stubborn as hell. Strong. Graceful. Beautiful. Kind. I’m not lookin’ for a slut, babe. I’m lookin’ at a fuckin’ queen.”

Book 2
“Good. A saint wouldn’t survive two seconds in my world. I need a devil who’s figured out how to lock himself away.”

“Nobody had ever given me a nickname before. Well, other than bitch. And in high school, some peon had called me a cunt and then retracted it, insisting I lacked the necessary warmth and depth.”

Book 3
“My freshman year of high school, this senior, Luke, was dating a junior, Ally. Luke told his buddies that he went down on her after one of the games and she tasted like Cool Ranch Doritos.”

“The flavor of Ally’s vajayjay practically made the news.”

This dialogue is one of the funniest things I have ever read!

Book 4
“She was my Helen of Troy. I’d bring down the fucking world for her. But I wouldn’t have to, because she was entirely capable of collapsing it herself should she so desire.”

“Now I realized that true torment came not from remembering, but from forgetting.”

Book 5
“That I’d try, but one bad apple will ruin a pie. One good apple won’t fix it.”

“We were killing them to keep them from killing us, and they were killing us to keep us from killing them. It’s like this big, fucked-up loop that nobody can find a way out of. In the end, there’s nothing but death, destruction, and orphaned little kids who grow up and do the same damn thing.”

Book Review for Tap'd Out by Harley Stone

Let's start by saying that we are really enjoying this series and its character's. Tap has to be one of my favorite character's of this series so far.We love that this MC series are full of special ex military men who all have a special skill set who run a clean club but, clean up there city with there talents the best way they can.

Sasha is a newbie to the force and is gun ho in saving a group of women from being trafficked and another MC club is suspected.

Tap who doing his own undercover thing when he meets Sasha and saves her from a bad situation but, they have one thing in common and that is to take down a dirty club doing unthinkable things.

Tap is part of the Dead Presidents a bit of a loner and secretive and way to secretive for his brothers liking but, due to his previous job skill sets he his all about protecting his family from those who might want to cause them harm and that means nobody can know about them.We love him he was sexy and cocky (in a good way) had one hell of a body and had some sexy moves but, he was also love-able,caring,funny and had a sense of humor and was serious and protective to the extreme, had a wonderful relationship with his mother and lets not forget extremely deadly .

Sasha is a cop who goes off have cocked to infiltrate a MC to get answers to questions she is wanting after her is she brave or just stupid because she is all on her own without anyone knowing what she is up to.We found her to be determined ,a girl who lived in hell most of her life but, became a cop to make the world and better space and in the process save a few loss souls and was funny and had a great sense of humor.

Overall this was a really enjoyable read full of great character's that were funny and all up it your sh** but, most of all you learned that it was time to share your secrets with the ones you call brothers. The story was full of suspense and betrayals and crooked cops up to no good. The story also had a cute romance story with Sasha and Tap who were just perfect for one another in every way.Tap met the Sasha in the most unusual way and under trying circumstances but, he knew she was about to change his life forever and she did just that.Love blossomed out of a bad situation but, it was really and sweet and all so endearing and we love it.

A Recommended read to all !

1.5 to 2 stars

I grabbed this from Amazon while it was free. It's my first book from this author. And maybe I shouldn't have read it without reading the other books first --- but I did --- and the verdict? I found it okay. Better than underwhelmed. Eh.

Sigh. I think it's because I have no "investment" in these MC's and so was just sorta meh about them getting together. I didn't know who the other secondary characters were and certain events (that I'm sure had significance) flew right over my head. Again, maybe my feelings about this book would've been different had I started the series in the beginning. *shrugs* I'll never know. Not unless I go back and buy book 1 and read the rest of the series.

But honestly, I've got a lot of books on my TBR waiting and the realistic answer is, until another book by this author becomes free, I will not likely be reading book 1. Sorry.

Oh, wow! This book had so much going for it, I'm just not sure where to start! How about with the fantastic story line, that kept me engaged from beginning to end? Or, how about with the non stop action or the smoking hot connection between Tap and Sasha? What about the amazing writing that pulled me in and made me feel like I was right in the middle of what was happening?

Sasha had a childhood that started out great, but quickly turned horrific after her father's death. She took what some would view as the beginning of a horrible life, and turned it into a career that she felt she could help people with. As a police officer, she tried to make other's lives better, even at the detriment of her own. Trying to do what she felt was right, even when she was told to leave it alone, put her in a situation that was looking grimmer by the minute, with no way out. Until Tap showed up.

Tap has demons. His demons keep him from getting close to anyone, from sharing his life with anyone. They make him hide his secrets, even from those that would have his back in any situation. But meeting Sasha, saving her from her own horror, could lead to something so explosive, it could just bring him back from the brink.

I've read all of the Dead Presidents MC books, and this one is my favorite, so far! They keep getting better with each book, and Tap and Sasha are absolutely made for each other! They each have their own problems that they are working on, but are stronger together. There are some pretty harsh parts in the beginning of this story, that may cause some readers to take pause, but they are integral to the story. But, truly, this story is just as amazing (if not more so!) as the rest of the series, and one that I'd tell anyone to jump at!

Difficult

I had difficulty with this one. It feels sooo different than the others in this series. The characters were “harder”. The writing is great, just not my favorite story of the bunch.

4.5 Stars of Awesomesauce!

I have liked all of the Dead President books and this one is no different. Tap is so totally an over the top alpha, but he also makes it a little hard for his brothers to know more about him. He is totally that paranoid! I don’t think he skirts it, I think he embrasses it and uses it as a crutch to keep others are arms length. But he totally dropped those shields that he has in place when it comes to Sasha.

She burst into his life in a way that he didn’t anticipate and wasn’t sure how to deal with, but I felt that she became a catalyst for him to embrace more of life than he currently was. And man was she a character that I really liked! She herself knew she was going down a dark path, but she believed in doing something since it didn’t look like anyone else was and she knew that she was placing herself in danger. But for the greater good, she was willing. Totally a tough character, and what she put herself through, WOW!

Overall, I really liked the story. The characters were interesting and this was a new take that the President books had not been on before. The story was well paced and very engaging. I got to read more about the other characters I have read of and really liked. So I was really happy with this new book. So, two thumbs up and happy reading!

4.5 Stars

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, love, suspense, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would reading those books(s) first
Link'd up (Dead Presidents MC #1)
Wreaking Havoc (Dead Presidents MC #2)
Trapping Wasp (Dead Presidents MC #3)
Landing Eagle (Dead Presidents MC #4)
Rescuing Mercy (Dead Presidents MC #4.5)

This is Sasha and Tap's story. Tap is part of the Dead Presidents MC. He is a part of the club but that does not mean he trusts all of them. After everything he has been though it takes him a long time to trust. Sasha used to believe in the system but it let her down. Now she just wants out. But when Tap finds her beaten and broken he knows he needs to protect her. Can her help her heal when he is so broken himself? Will danger take them out or will they be able to come out on top in the end?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

I love this series!! It just keeps getting better and better. This book centers around Tap and his trust issues with his “brothers” and People in general stemming from his time in the military. This trust gets put to the test when Tap can’t help but rescue Sasha when she is beaten badly. Sasha has had it with the corrupt police department that she is part of. After getting suspended she takes matters into her own hands and is set on investigating the Serpents and taking them down. This book just goes to show you you have to rely on someone some time to be in your corner and put faith into them. This book kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what lie ahead. I can’t wait for the next installment of the series!!

This one was interesting. Tap seemed to somehow manage to be in the MC, yet not. I was glad that Link and Havoc called him out on things and forced Tap to become more integrated into the club.

I really liked Sasha but the lengths she went to do the right thing stunned me. I was really glad that Tap stumbled upon Sasha and then the two of them, along with the Dead Presidents, took care of business. I especially loved how the women were in on the take down and helped to make sure things were buried.

LOVED Sasha & Tap! OMH! There are a couple of my personal "hard no" scenes early in the story, which skewed it a little for me. Once through that, tho, I enjoyed everything else! I love how the characters are written, and their family dynamics. This is a great story about trust, loyalty, and of course love. There's a bit of action woven in, as well, and we get to see all our guys & girls play a part, which is one of the things I love about this series. Every story is about a different couple, but they're all about the family & brotherhood of the Dead Presidents. : )

Wow does this series just keep getting better or what? I love Ms. Stone’s flare for words. Her books have moments of laughter, suspense, action and all are very heartfelt and full of “feels”. Tap’d Out fits all of these and then some. The emotions packed into this book will have you feeling like you are going through everything right along with the characters in the book. Kudo’s Ms. Stone for an excellent addition to the Dead Presidents series.

If you by chance have not started the series, Lord have mercy you need to start with Link and keep right on truckin’. The men that make up the Dead Presidents MC are all former military men. Men who got out of the service and for whatever reason are struggling. Their mission is to help others just like themselves. The strong alpha males have found a brotherhood and purpose with the Dead Presidence. This holds true for Tap. He is a former intelligence guy. He knows too much on a lot of people. Tap doesn’t trust anyone, not even his MC brothers. He lives his life looking over his shoulder and hiding his true self from the real world. But while on a mission for the MC’s Prez, he finds a battered woman on the floor and breaks one of his main rules: Never get emotionally involved. He takes one look at her and knows he has to get her out of there, along with himself. But what does he do with her. He can’t take her home and risk his family, he can’t take her to the clubhouse for fear his mission will be discovered and put the MC at risk. Tap’d is in a huge delima.

As for the girl, Sasha, she is a police officer on an unsanctioned undercover mission. To prove herself to her mark, she is left to be “jumped in”. Left on the floor beaten to a pulp, she is found by a stranger (Tap). After asking him to leave her so she can continue her mission, she finds herself in arms of a stranger begging him not to take her to a hospital. She has no clue who he is or where he’s taking her but she feel safe in his arms. Can she trust him with her secrets? Can Tap help her without risking his family, the MC and keep then both alive? Trust comes at a price, who will pay the price to get the help needed to bring this mission to a happy ending.

This is a phenomenal storyline that will keep you on your toes and glued to the pages. I highly recommend Tap’d and the entire Dead Presidents MC series. Grab them up asap, you won’t regret it. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.

Title: Tap'd Out (Dead Presidents MC Book 5)
Author: Harley Stone
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ARC read in return for an honest review.

Sasha’s a cop, not one of those dirty ones, she never has nor ever will be, her past has played a part in making her the person she is today, which as cop who takes her role to serve & protect seriously, so seriously that when she's given paid leave, she decides to go rogue which lands her smack bang in the middle of a human trafficking ring with a less than desirable MC in the midst of it too, Sasha thinks she’s got her "in" when she becomes it's leaders new toy but she gets more than she bargained for when she finds herself being beaten to a pulp and left in a heap of her own blood whilst those around her carry on partying.

Tap’s a member of the more upstanding Dead Presidents MC, he’s one the most paranoid MC members there’s ever been, which is understandable when you consider his past although some would say he’s too paranoid. He’s out on a job when he finds Sasha beaten to a pulp, he can’t just leave her there so he does something he’s never done before with another, he takes her to his home the home where no-one else knows of let alone has ever been too, that’s how paranoid of a man he was, I say was as all it’s taken is having Sasha in his presence to see that maybe it’s not so bad letting people in especially when it’s your brothers who’d have your back no matter what. It was great seeing the rest of the club and their significant others gathered at Tap’s house for the first time, the banter between the brothers was entertaining as was the ladies, they were hilarious and Sasha fitted right in with them all, especially when it came to two very important people in Tap’s life.

This was a fantastically written fast paced read filled with action, some sexy times, a few twists and even more action. I honestly couldn’t put this one down, I was captivated from start to finish, here’s hoping there’s more to come from the men of the Dead Presidents MC and the woman who bring them to their knees real soon.

I'm going to start out with my biggest complaint, I really wish Tap'd Out had been longer so we could have gotten more of Tap's crazy past. There, that's all since this story was so AWESOME that I could have kept reading about Tap & Sasha indefinitely. Sasha has a past that has made her the person she is now, which is a cop who takes her serve & protect seriously, and she won't ever be dirty. She's found herself discovering that justice sometimes takes the best paying client, and she doesn't know how to face it, so when she's given paid leave, she decides to go rogue which lands her into some serious trouble. See, her case is about a human trafficking ring that has a MC smack dab in the middle of it, and Sasha becomes it's leader favorite new toy. Tap is the most paranoid member of the more upstanding Dead Presidents MC, so when on one of his many jobs that helps him investigate people, he finds Sasha beat to hell, and takes her to his house, which no one else has ever been too. This starts him down a new path of trust with everyone, including the sexy Sasha who he finds he has chemistry with as he helps find those girls that she so desperately wants to save. Man this story had it all wrapped up in too little time. I'm not saying it was novella length by any means, just saying I could have read thousands of pages that's all. Tap was paranoid but I loved him anyway, and I definitely loved his club who always had his back, so it was entertaining as hell when they finally saw where he lived. Their ladies were hilarious with Sasha so I was laughing during those parts. Obviously there were twists like crazy making for some action filled moments, and my f-bombs were dropping like no tomorrow. A sexy time scene or two lit the sheets on fire, angst filled moments, and just a great finale round this great story out! I hope there's more to this series as I'll NEVER get enough! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Such a good MC read!! I have not read the other books in the Dead Presidents MC, but I sure want to now! Harley Stone writes a book that includes the hard life of an MC but combines it with good and honest men, that is what I freaking love about this subgenre!

To give you backstory if you are like me and have not read the other books in the series, the Dead Presidents MC is made up of veterans that band together to support each other after they have gotten out of the service. These men are good and honorable and have a great moral code while keeping in line with the fact that sometimes to you have to skate the law to get things done.

Tap has been a member of the MC for about a year now but is extremely secretive in the fact that none of his brothers know his true name or even about his family. He keeps the two lives separate in making sure that his family is safe. This works but also causes his brothers in the MC to wonder even more about him. Oh, he is also freaking brilliant and belonged in intelligence in the military.

He wonders upon Sasha, a cop with good intentions but kinda awful execution, when Tap finds her beaten and broken he cannot just leaves her and takes her in. This goes against his entire plan of keeping everything separate but decides that he needs to get involved.

This is a great story about 2 people with hard beliefs and trust issues that can come together and maybe, just maybe, let someone in to help shoulder the burdens. Also it helps that the steam between these two is a slow burn but that does not make it any more powerful and the longing makes it even better!

Great story Harley Stone!!

PS: I received this book as an ARC but am voluntarily and honestly reviewing it!

A decent read

This is a story about tap and Sasha. In the story you’ll read a suspense about prostitution drugs and a insane amount of sex. I like this story but what threw me off was that it was a short story so fast pace that everything happened so quickly.I found Sasha noble however her intentions at least the way she went about them left me conflicted. Like for someone who’s a cop to go on the undercover don’t you have some south of self-defense I can understand that she was pretending to be someone she wasn’t but to intentionally allow herself to be abused and hurt for the sake of other young women’s freedom is hard to find something heroic in that. I however will not condemn her for her choices. No Tap there’s a fine man and I’m just not talking about the book cover.Tap is calculated, smart, efficient, strong and sweet but he’s so secretive that not even his club members know who he truly is. My biggest problem within this book besides the explicit content and the nature of the suspense is the fact that they went from falling into lust straight into a ride of love and considering she went through something traumatic stuff to help young women leaves a lot to be desired. Doesn’t she need to recuperate or is her mind have such a easy flip a switch button. Like four days is not enough to clear the debris. But if you likes fast paced books with a hot man and a witty yet strong-ish woman then this is your book. But I will say this Sasha’s foolishly courageous.

Tap was an intelligence officer in the military and has a hard time not hearing too much, he’s always had that problem. His mother told him as a young boy to listen to people and he would learn a lot. He has secrets and trust issues since leaving the military and those secrets and trust issues even extend to his new family, the Dead Presidents MC brothers, but he’s going to have to deal with those or lose his second family.

Sasha is a police officer that is suspended because she can’t let things go. This could be her downfall in the end. Sasha needs answers and she needs to keep the promise she made her mother years ago, to help those that can’t help themselves. The only problem is that she runs into barriers along her way all the time. Her latest attempt to get answers puts her in more danger than she is aware of.

This was my first read of the Dead Presidents MC books, but it will not be my last. I loved Tap and Sasha’s story. They are great together and they are two people deserve the best that life can give them both. They are both determined to save even those that they don’t know. Their lives are changed forever by one chance encounter and the decisions they make in the heat of the moment. I give this story a 5-star review and recommend this story as well as the others in the series to any reader who enjoys MC, danger and suspense, strong women and the men who make them stronger.

❤️🌼🔥I LOVE TAP & SASHA!!! I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!❤️🌼🔥
I have loved all of the books in the DEAD PRESIDENTS MC Series, and TAP’D OUT is no exception....❤️🌼🔥
Tap, a former intelligence officer has lived his life with lies and secrets....he trusts very few, and he walks the line between safety and paranoia, but the Dead President’s MC is ready for him to be all in...and that means learning to trust them....And, btw, Tap is smokin’ hot...look at the bookcover..❤️🌼🔥
A suspended officer and unofficially undercover, Sasha Petrov is saved by Tap, after she was nearly beaten to death by orders of a local outlaw mc VP, and while Tap hides her and protects her, spending so much time with each other......they fall in love.....These are two people with major trust issues.....but they trust each other.........❤️🌼🔥
If you haven’t read the DEAD PRESIDENT’S MC Series, yet, read it now...Although they can be read as standalones, you shouldn’t miss any of them.....❤️🌼🔥
Harley Stone has written a hot, winning series, about serious stuff, but I love that her humor comes through........ As the DPMC members were driving in a van, taking care of business, dressed all in black, Wasp compared them to “environmentally-friendly carpool ninjas...” That just made me laugh!!! I love this book...I love this series....I love Harley Stone...❤️🌼🔥

He had the experience to do the stealth thing and bug the leader of a vicious gang that was a danger to the Dead Presidents MC. His club. He didn't' expect to find a woman on the floor of the office next on his list to wire. She was beaten, bloody, and half naked. Normally he'd just leave her. Not his business. He knew things were not always what they appeared. For some unknown reason, he couldn't leave her.

No one was prepared for what he did. Why? No one in the club knew where he lived. Trust didn't come easy. When the situation demanded he asks for help he had to give up some of his secrets.

Sasha had no family. She was doing what she always wanted. She became a cop. Problem was the job was nothing like she expected. When a case involving a number of missing women and she couldn't get much help from her leaders she decided to take it on herself. Not a good idea and what left her beaten and bloody where Tap found her.

These two have little reason to trust. Can they learn to trust each other and work together to rescue these women and find love for each other?

A story of learned trust and love. Steam. Visiting the other members and their old ladies is an added benefit of this story. Don't miss it.

5 star

Sasha is on the Seattle police force, stuck in a desk job. Her instincts are telling her something is not right with all the missing women in the town. She gets suspended and goes in search of some answers and infiltrates the Serpents club. Tap is a single dad and they live with his mom. He's a loner in his own right, and part of The Dead Presidents MC. He does not trust anyone. He finds Sasha and the story begins! Harley put her heart and soul in this book and it shows! Sasha is strong, witty, smart and independent. My favorite thing about her books. Tap is strong, intelligent, but not too trusting. He has a soft side for his daughter and mother. I feel Harley started writing and just went for it and gave us a great story. It was exciting, emotional, passionate (Tap is hot!) And of course there was her wonderful humor. Tap was everything rolled into one that a woman would love in a man and Sasha is definately the woman to love him. This was such a great read. Another great story of the Dead Presidents MC. I'm excited to see what she has coming for us next.

MAYDAY! Triggers ahead Proceed with caution

There really should’ve been some kind of heads up that she was going to be drugged and r*ped within the first two chapters. I was completely blindsided by it and it utterly ruined the story. I didn’t need the graphic details.
While I can see people finding WHY she was letting herself be drugged and a**aulted “admirable”, it was completely stupid. She’s supposed to be a trained cop. Yet after she’s suspended for asking too many questions, she goes alone to honey trap the bad guy.
Later, when the MC wants to help her, she says it’s vigilantism & they’re not cops, she was doing the EXACT same thing.
I typically don’t mind the instant lust/love. But this one took it extremes. She spent a week drugged and hurt, (literally got the crap kicked out of her) then within 48 hours she’s totally okay for sex cos he’s hot. Not to mention she brings up that her attacker always used condoms, but there’s a pretty graphic scene of her being forced to give oral. Um… apparently the author forgot that STDs can be transmitted that way too.
Not worth it. ESPECIALLY if you have issues with this.

Wow!! Just WOW!! I don't know how Harley Stone does it but each book in her Dead Presidents MC series just gets better and better!!
This is book #5 in the series and it's Tap and Sasha's story!! Sasha is a police officer, trying to make a difference the legal way!! She soon discover's that she will never make a difference unless she tries the illegal way!! I would love to say more but i'm not giving any spoilers!! Sorry, but I honestly believe you need to read this book for yourself, trust me you will NOT regret it!!
This book has a amazing storyline and fantastic characters that draw you in and keep you captivated right till the end!! I especially love Momma and little Hailey!! There is action, suspense and some really hot chemistry between Tap and Sasha, these two have such an amazing connection and they are definitely made for eachother!!
This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the books in order!! This a definite 5 star read and I am so excited for the next book!!

Dead Presidents MC rises again😁

Sasha has been a Seattle cop for the last few years but after a string of cases that involves missing girls and a lack of action from her department, she decides to investigate further. This leads to her being suspended for two weeks and she goes “undercover”.

Tap is super paranoid about his past coming to bite him in the @ss and has contingency plans aplenty. When he takes a job to bug a rival one percenter MC, he finds a gorgeous beaten woman on the floor and takes action. Not knowing anything about her, he brings her to the one place he knows is secure even though the action itself has far reaching consequences for him😍

A great story of two people coming together to achieve a greater outcome and in the process find their broken pieces or what they thought was broken, fitting together💕 A must read series and I can’t wait for the next book in this series as all these characters have worked their way into my heart❣️

I'm definitely in the minority for this one!

Something felt off with this book to me. The flirty banter between Sasha & Tap was awkward and didn't feel natural to me, nor did Sasha's interactions wth little Hailey. I just felt like the author was trying too hard to force connections between all these characters too soon, so it felt forced.

I also wasn't too impressed that, after spending more than a week with a violent psychopath that repeatedly drugged and raped her and then arranged for her to be severely beaten, Sasha is all about getting it on with Tap, after knowing him for two days. Nor was I impressed with how fast she seemed to heal after her beatdown.

I'm all about moving a story forward, but not at the expense of said story. I knew there was a connection between the two heroes only because the author said so. I certainly didn't feel it.

Overall I really liked this book, but it wasn't perfect. I loved Tap and Sasha together, they both deserve the happiness they found with each other. The other old ladies accepted Sasha into their circle without pause, you just can't help but love them all. And even though Tap had kept everything in his life a secret from his club, had failed to trust his mc brothers, they didn't hesitate to have his back. I was frustrated with how Sasha went about trying to save the missing girls. I just couldn't understand where there was any logic in her way of thinking. She knew she only had a week, but she allowed herself to be drugged and abused every day. Common sense would have told her she needed a new plan after the first night, and if she couldn't figure it out then, she definitely should have by night two. So yeah, as you can see I didn't really care for that part in the book, but the rest I enjoyed.
