6th Annual "Soup"er Bowl Fundraiser
7
What is this:
8
A Fundraising event that will raise money to purchase needed classroom furniture for the 7th grade at the Mission Haiti Lines school. Because of Shalom's support in building this school, it has allowed for them to add an additional grade/classroom each year. They will be adding 7th grade for the '20/'21 school year.
9
What is our goal:
10
1. The students chairs & desks will be approximately $500
11
2. The teachers desks, chairs and classroom cupboards will be approximately $500
12
3. If we exceed the cost of the furniture, they would love to be able to put in a basketball court. This could be used by both the school as well as the community and would be able to serve as a soccer field as well. The cost of this would be approximately $2,000
13
When is this:
14
Super Bowl Sunday - February 2nd - following the morning Sunday school hour.
15
Who is this for:
16
EVERYONE! Even if you don’t participate in the competition portion of this event, we still need people to vote and eat! There is also a sign up for cinnamon rolls to help complete our meal.
17
How does it work:
18
There will be 2 categories: SOUP & DESSERT. If you have a great soup or dessert recipe that you would like to bring - sign up for one of these below. That day you can purchase tickets - 1/$1 or 6/$5 - these will be the way you vote. Each entry will have a jar for which you can put your voting ticket. You can put all your tickets towards one or you can choose to divide them amongst the entries. The SOUP & DESSERT with the most tickets at the end will be deemed the champion!
19
Again for 2019:
20
*Special FOOD TABLE FOR KIDS and those who prefer to not eat soup. Including pizza, hot dogs, mac & cheese, and other kid friendly food.
21
New for 2019:
22
*We will begin eating about 10:45. We have also made some changes to the layout of the room and the flow of traffic to more efficiently get everyone through the line.
23
**There will be NO FAST PASS awarded through monetary donations this year. The “Hurry Up Offense” will instead be awarded to 5 people. Signup to bring either a SOUP or DESSERT prior to JANUARY 23 and your name will be entered for one of these 5 “Hurry Up Offense” tickets. This will allow you, and everyone in your household, to cut to the front of the line. (**If a KidZone teacher is awarded one of these tickets, they will be allowed to bypass the line and go straight to the front when they are ready to eat.)
24
***We will also be introducing a “Ticket Multiplier” award. There will be 4 of these awarded to the same pool of people who have signed up to bring either a SOUP or DESSERT prior to JANUARY 23. If you are awarded one of these, all votes for your respective soup/dessert will be multiplied and added to your final vote count.
