NETFLIX ANNOUNCES KOREAN ORIGINAL SERIES SCHOOL NURSE AHN EUN YOUNG

December 20, 2018, Seoul, Korea – Netflix, Inc., the world's leading entertainment service, announced that School Nurse Ahn Eun Young (working title), the new Korean original series, will go into production from 2019. The series is based on the popular Korean novel with the same name by author Jung Se-rang who is known to bring out the vivid imagination in her stories.

School Nurse Ahn Eun Young(working title) tells the story of a newly appointed high school nurse who discovers secrets and mysteries with her supernatural abilities of chasing ghosts. Jung Yu-mi(Train to Busan, Live, Discovery of Love) will play the role of Ahn Eun Young, who faces herself in various supernatural phenomenon and uses exorcism in a unique yet comic way. The series will be directed by Lee Kyoung-mi(The Truth Beneath, Crush and Blush) who is well known for her style of maximizing the appeal of each character and bringing the most out of the story in her previous works.

The Korean original series will be produced by Oh! Boy Project, the production led by Park Sung-hye, known for their success in Flower Boy Ramen Shop and Hwarang. Park and Shin Yeon-ju will be the executive producers of the series. Jung Se-rang, the author of the original novel, will join as the writer of the series. Kim Hyun-jeong is also attached as Executive Producer.

The new 6-part Netflix original series will go into production and be available exclusively on Netflix.
