Motorcyclist fighting for life after Harley Davidson collides with BMW in horror Rutherglen smash

A MOTORCYCLIST is fighting for his life after being rushed to hospital with various serious injuries after a horror road smash.

The 24-year-old man was rushed to hospital following the crash in Stonelaw Road in Rutherglen at 2.50pm yesterday.

His Harley Davidson collided with a black BMW, driven by a 29-year-old, at traffic lights with at the junction with Hamilton Road and Greenhill Road.

The biker was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and his condition is currently described as life-threatening.

The driver of the BMW was uninjured.

Constable David Nicol at Motherwell Road Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses, in particular anyone with dashcam footage, to get in touch.
