RADFORD, Va. – In lieu of all regular-season competition, conference championships and athletics activities canceled for the remainder of the 2019-20 season due to the surrounding concerns of the COVID-19, Radford Athletics taps into the video vault to bring you replays of big games and moments from year's past.
 
This week features lacrosse's resounding 22-14 victory over Big South opponent Gardner-Webb back on April 11, 2018. In their second conference victory, the Highlanders' historic performance was led by Callie Bonnel and Adrian Rius. This contest had it all from career highs to broken program records. 
 
Despite being down an early 2-0 to the Runnin' Bulldogs, the two teams battled in the first period with seven different ties. Gardner-Webb entered halftime up 11-9 over Radford but the Highlanders exited the break rejuvenated. The visitors notched four goals in the opening five minutes of the second period, reversing a two-goal deficit in their favor. In the waning moments of the game, Radford added on a pair of goals to reach the new season high total of 22 goals.
