International Volunteer Exchange Carpathians is an exchange program for volunteers from Ukraine, Germany, Belarus, Moldova and Russia. The program starts on October 23 with an introductory seminar in Lviv and ends on November 2 in Ivano-Frankivsk. The participants will meet volunteer organizations from five countries, regional volunteer initiatives focused on sustainable tourism and work for six days in the National Nature Park Synevyr, the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve and at Mt. Hoverla.
The program is open for citizens or residents of Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Russia. Applicants have to speak English at least on level B1 and be highly motivated to work up to 7 hours per day. Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is advantageous, but not mandatory.
The participation in the program is free of charge. Our organization will cover accommodation and food during the whole stay from 23.10 till 2.11 in Lwiw and in the Carpathians. We will also cover about 75 % of travel expanses to Lviv and back. International Volunteer Exchange Carpathians is a project of the Berlin based NGO Dekabristen e.V., organized in cooperation with Ukranian Volunteer Service and NEED (Kyiv), supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
