This place has it all but, most important, it delivers lovely Chinese meats. I raise my hand and second the many motions that their BBQ pork and aromatic duck are approaching rarefied heights.
If you're not in the mood for Chinese deli then I urge you to go for the spectacle that is rubber boots, white plastic aprons, gloves, meat cleavers flailing, orders barked - with and without microphone - from one end of store to the other and I am absolutely convinced that they slaughter animals in the bathroom during off hours.
I more often than not take my meals on site and none of what I describe above puts me off. In fact, it adds to the experience and then there's the lovely BBQ pork and aromatic duck!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jan 21, 2023
Very good roast duck. They sometimes sell out by the afternoon. For freshest pick, go early in the morning or before noon. They are known for their roast ducks here, they sell to some of the restaurants nearby too. On special holidays, they also sell siu yuk which are fantastic. I find them a lot less salty than their competitors. (You can read that however you want.) They also sell lottery tickets here so winner, winner, duck is for dinner? Have fun.

Excellent duck! I would come get some whenever I head over their way. Love the Duck sauce.

My Special Angel Katrina and I walked past this delightful little Chinese Deli . We picked up a roasted duck. It was wonderful. They did chopped the duck which made it easier to carry home and eat . The next time we are in my old neighborhood we will return. We live in Marin county.

I was picking up takeout from Burma Superstar, so I stopped to see if there were any good roasted meats. A few ducks and pieces of char siu in the window, but that was it. Mind you, this is 1pm on a Friday afternoon. Pretty sad, not worth your time.

This place is so delicious. The service may not be the best, but you come for the food not the service. I ordered the two item dish with roasted duck and pork that came with rice and vegetables. The portions were generous and the price was good. I had some leftovers to take home. The duck and pork were the right amount of crispness and tender. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely come back.

From an outside prespective looking into the restaurant and seeing the hanging chickens¿ Don't let that fool you like other raunchy looking chinese restaurants that leaves your stomach curling and begging you to run home and sit on the poop throne. Cheung Hing is delicious and most importantly doesnt have you feeling the urge to run to any poop thrones. Ive been here like 5-6 times and never had any issues and always trying something different on the menu. 5 Stars to Cheung Hing for always serving me up a nice dish of whatever it is im eating!

Cheung Hing seems to be in many chinese shopping districts. this one never seems to be busy. they also sell some canned goods, drinks, lotto tickets, newspapers and maybe produce too.
just bought a paper (.60). not in mood for greasy deli stuff today.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jan 8, 2008
Great Chinese BBQ you can buy by the pound or order rice plates and take home. Rice plate with 1 item is around $3.25 and 2 items at $4 I think. It comes with veggies (usually cabbage).
Their BBQ pork is delicious and they tend to slice them pretty thinly. I prefer the roast pork. You can special order Roast suckling pig (around $9/lb). They have stools but I've never gone during lunch time and have never seen people eating there. They also sell raw meats (even rabbit!)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sunshine L.San Diego, CA65839409Jun 27, 2017
I got BBQ duck, and when I asked for rice, they mockingly told me they would charge me extra for the rice, and all of them were laughing because they thought it was funny. The guys that work here are not good people.
