University of Arizona business school namesake Karl Eller dies

Karl Eller, the Tucson businessman who helped entrepreneurs and large companies alike, died Sunday in Phoenix. He was 90.

Eller, who donated to the University of Arizona business school that bore his name, was behind the growth of Circle K, the convenience store and gas station that grew to national prominence, according to Channel 3.

Eller’s business history included being among the initial investors for the Phoenix Suns when the NBA team started in 1968 as well as advertising ventures and growing Circle K into a national company.
