Job Title

Coordinates all proctoring and test management in the College Testing Center including national and college assessments, credit by examination, certification and placement exams, make-up tests and accommodated testing for students. This position is also responsible for researching and assisting with marketing new or alternative testing products requested by administration and updating policies for the center. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proctor a wide variety of tests, including but not limited to placement and make-up course tests, TEAS, distance education exams, Pearson VUE and other testing products.
  • Verify placement testing requirements/retakes for testers based on previous course work and other standardized tests/student records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all testing materials and other test documents, at all times.
  • Understand, carefully adhere to, and enforce FERPA guidelines.
  • Create all testing schedules including TEAS, Pearson VUE, distance education and placement.Keep supervisor informed of anticipated high traffic and request additional staffing, as appropriate.
  • Promptly report all observations of academic dishonesty to the student's instructor, and to the Director of Counseling and Community Standards through the College reporting system.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and solve problematic situations as they arise.
  • Assist with Banner entry of placement scores from all LCCC sites.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty to receive all required information/materials to properly proctor exams, in a timely manner.
  • Develop testing schedules that meet the needs of staff, faculty, students, and outside agencies.
  • Maintain general files, testing records, etc.
  • Respond to phone calls, voicemail and e-mail messages for the Testing Center.
  • Compile monthly and annual reports regarding Testing Center usage, others as requested.
  • Maintain inventory of testing materials and supplies; request purchase as needed.
  • Work with all LCCC sites to coordinate testing policies and procedures to ensure consistency and standards are maintained.
  • Assist with minor maintenance of testing center equipment.Inform supervisor and IT Help Desk of more challenging concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with part-time Assistant to provide seamless delivery of service for students.
  • Perform other duties, as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

Required
Education

  • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution is required.
Certifications
  • Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)    
Work Experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with diverse groups of people including students and faculty.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and be able to make procedural decisions within standard operating policies. 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new software.
  • Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, flexibility, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge.
