Large chests are said to encompass all manner of hopes and dreams. Men covet them. Women envy them. But one fact holds true - everyone wants to get their hands on some big ones.
The same holds true for one intrepid adventurer - a strapping young lad by the name of Himmel. Armed with his grandfather’s trusty longsword and the dream of being the strongest, he sets out on the journey of a lifetime! It is sure to be a long and dangerous road, fraught with danger! And it all starts with a simple test - reach Level 5 in the dungeon called the ‘newbie zone’ and earn the right to become a full-fledged adventurer!
However, such things get hopelessly derailed when his adolescent mind beholds an exposed chest for the first time. A fateful meeting that would inevitably lead his life in a direction he never even dreamed of!
This fiction is written, maintained and owned by Neven Iliev. It is also a participant of the WriTEr's pledge.

Okay I admit I picked this book because well it was on chests but after reading the story I am feeling 2 things
1. That I definitely falled for the author's trick and
2. I only regret that I didn't know about the story earlier.
It's an awesome story people should definitely read and as for the conclusion expect a lot about chests in this story
Hilarious and intriguing take on the monster litrpg sub genre, I am eager to see what tasty and not so tasty situations boxxy gets into. Good job mate.
i was rereading the book when i noticed that the interlude chapter with Xera revenge fucking Kora is gone, what happened?
It's well written, technically speaking.
Even so, the MC is a plot armored, dense, quickly OP protag.
Also this is yet another 'This character sheet's development' type story where the (protagonist?) gets magically convenient plot developments, and power-ups like candy from the sky.
The fact that he's not human is 'clever'-ish-- but that only holds you a few chapters.
I don't understand the popularity honestly. Rooting for the MC to prey on humans is probably a draw for many. As you're normally 'wired' for the MC to survive, you are anxious about the prospect of parties of experts gunning for him eventually. Yeah... when they act like fodder for the story you realize that was a wasted concern.
I mean- you would think the MC survivng as a monster would be a point of suspense/challenge- but no- not so much...
- Some allies appear flaky, but are actually deus ex plot foils with conveniently masterful planning and execution.
- Some opponents act 'smart', but are actually dumb and die stupidly.
So, those two points make for no 'challenge' or 'suspense' after you realize this is just an oddly 'monster skinned' 'Gary Stu' adventure. I guess goblins weren't 'monster' enough.
Eventually you get to the whole hentai schtick, featuring the ridiculousness of 'erotic' vore and the 'naturally resulting' mindbreak if you're can believe/are into that.
(sigh)
Well, 'whatever'...
Overall, pretty mindless/pointless.
The novelty wears off pretty quick-, but I'm sure some will find this to their liking.
For me, the forced platting and super-thick plot armor is what dragged me out of it. Well, the vore and mindbreak helped. Too many stupid things layered on top of one another and I don't find it palatable anymore. Add to that the overall pointlessness, and the clear intent not to handle any of the implied challenges in a reasonable/logical manner (instead solving with deus ex contrivances and conveniently compliant plotting) and I'm no longer curious... :(
I will say that the concept suggested a challenge in writing (in my mind) where having a mimc survive outside a dungeon (etc.) would be an interesting story. Well, this isn't that story & I suppose that's ok- but to so radically make this... whatever it actually is- to make the writing unchallenging...
Well, I'm sure many like it as-is
I just did the 'Advanced Review' scoring, and now I'm wondering how others can honestly give some of the ratings they do.
'Style' is subjective- so I'll let that go, though I don't see this as being anything beyond normal execution with a different type of character.
'Story' is also debatable- so I'll just say (how I see it) where the story is lacking a plot up to where I stopped reading. To me 'and then another thing happened' repeatedly isn't the same as 'story'. There is absolutely no goal, the plot armor on the MC removes any suspense. The convenient power-ups destroy any 'needs'... On to the next point...
'Grammar' is good. Nothing worth quibbling over there...
'Character'... The MC has none, and everyone else is disposable or a caricature. Anyone 5 stars this- I'd love to hear why.
None of this detracts from it's likability- it is somewhat amusing, and had potential. if you like it 'as is'- more power to you. I'm just not a fan of the nonsense hentai it's quickly becoming.
I found the first book on Audible. After listening I was hooked and wanted more thats when I discovered royalroad.
So thanks for that and thanks for the amazing story.
And i still buy the audiobooks even after I read the story here its just that entertaining.
MOAR!! this story is so clever haha
A wonderful 5/5 from me, as of this I have read to the 305th chapter and the story is glorious!
The first chapter got me hooked and each newnew chap keeps feeding my new found addiction, *wink wink nudge nudge*.
Can't wait to see more of Boxy and gang.
Even when this fiction does a terrible choice or goes somewhere it shouldn't, it works out and turns into something great or at least ok.
This is not a great internet fiction, it's good literature period. Even better since the writer removed the worst parts of the sexual fantasies. Some deviant crap is ofc still there, but it's bearable and sometimes even fits the story pretty good.
World building is good. Characters are amazing and the story is engaging there is everything you will love in a Litrpg in it. Not to mention the main character is adorable, chaotic and has no regards to morality and just do its own thing. Overall it's a superbly shiny and tasty read and I thank the author for writing this masterpiece.
Bamboozled me like a pro, entertained me the entire way through. Good job.
