Everybody Loves Large Chests

It is the first novel i have read in royalroad and i totally enjoyed it, although the ending was unexpected to say the least, it was a very good read i loved the characters, the schemes and of course the tasties, the shinies, the softies and the large chests. thanks to the author.

The style is solid, blue boxes, precise descriptions, what you expect in a Litrpg, i like that there are different points of view and the way that each side sees how things develop unaware of how wrong one could be, or who is fooling who.

About the story i dont have much to say, i love the monster protagonist angle and this fiction is simply brilliant in that area, and the psychology aspect of the story is really captivating, like a person who becomes a monster struggles with how to act, but a monster becoming person?, he is a natural. I will say that the ending threw off bad, maybe it just blew my mind too hard idk, still besides the ending solid 5 stars, with the ending 4 stars.

The grammar is practically flawless, i never seen a grammatical error and boy i did look, as i am not a native speaker i did struggle with some more fancy words but besides that zero complaints

The characters, i have not enough space or time to say everything i want to say about them so ill just say a few words.

The mimic: the funniest protagonist i have ever seen, a complete psycho and at the same time the purest child, a weird cocktail that gives birth to a great story

The demons: wasent the biggest fan of the sex scenes, but hey it was funny in the long run and i love how they interact with each other

Our favorite random god: that i just love about this guy is that he is soooo random and that his antincs made the story so entertaining, without him half of the show would not be the same.

Try the first ten chapters no more no less, if ater the first ten chapters you aren't binge reading it then its not for you.

In more words the story is fantastic the main character unic and ever entertainig while being on character. The mc is without doubt the star of the show but the secondaries are just so good.

To sum up my ramblings after finishing the book, just try it

I'm really not entirely sure why this story works as well as it does. By all accounts I shouldn't like this story. The main character has no morals and very rarely does anything because it feels like the right thing to do. However, it works. I'm engaged with the story, and I find myself becoming more and more invested in the characters as time goes on.

 Couldn't recomend this story enough. Don't have the words. Masterpiece, is the best i got.

Boxxy is the most anti-heroist anti-hero that ever anti-heroed. Take that to the bank and sign it with your nuts!

I began reading this at the behest of a friend's son.  I normally don't go for porn stories... but when I started to read, it drew me in almost immediately... and while some of the early sexual content was a bit gratuitous, the story, characters, and world are all strangely engaging, hilarious, and elicit some real emotion from me.  And as the story has continued, it's set itself into a great level of consistently awesome humor, in-jokes, references, and entertaining occurences, and even the sexy stuff has some well integrated need to be there... the coherent, cohesive lore that Exterminatus has built here has kept me rolling laughing, feeling my heart go out to some of the characters and what they go through, cheering for a main character who, let's be honest, is totally a villain... and loving every minute of it!

Thank you, Exterminatus for one hell of a ride.  I look forward to each chapter with baited breath.

I usually hate reading novels with dumb protagonists, but the author here somehow makes it entertaining instead of frustrating. It was great watching the MC going from braindead box to whatever he is by the end, and the side characters also develop well throughout the story, adding a lot to it. Great read.

Writing is superb. Grammar is superb. Plot? Better than almost everything on this entire site. Honestly, the author somehow made nearly everything fit together well enough to a point where I had to check if I was making things up about this story. But alas, it was all true. Every detail was indeed from one mind only, and that was from the authors.

Pretty much all I wanted to say. Everthing else will be a surprise to the reader. I am sure they will appreciate it.

A friend of mine recommended this story to me and I'll admit, the cover, warnings and title gave me a set of expectations as to what this story would be like. I couldn't have been more wrong and I'm so glad I was. Don't get me wrong; the warnings are there for a reason. But it's just so well written! The main character has to be one of my favourites of all time, and they're a box.

Anyway in summary - give this story a shot, I'm sure it'll surprise you.

It starts off interesting and strong, but everntaully jsut becomes a slog through what I expect are supposed to be interesting twists and turns and reveals but just fall flat.

and then the ending. The last arc messes with Boxy's core abilities, and the final scenes Completely Ruin the extant characterization of the primary deity.

Like what RAFELING said in his review i kept skiping this book because of the title. I dont mind pornogaphic books but i dont want the answer to the question "wha'cha readin?" to be somting that will make me seem like a creep. I loved how you managed to keep the main character and others at a sort of distance, without giving into the temptation of making him too "normal", too quickly. he's a monster at heart and you portrayed that beautifully! GREAT JOB & KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

PS. Can anyone else see this as an anime?, or is it just me?
