On Monday’s Houston Matters: A new investigation from the Houston Chronicle reveals widespread sexual abuse at Southern Baptist churches that left behind more than 700 victims in 20 years. Two of the journalists involved detail how survivors tried to get church leaders to do something years ago.

Also this hour: Stuart Eizenstat explains why he believes the Carter presidency is the most underappreciated of the last century. He served in that administration and has a new book about it, called President Carter: The White House Years.

Then, Dr. Jacob Eisenbach shares his story. He was 16 when World War II erupted, losing his father, sister, and youngest brother during the Holocaust. He speaks at Rice University this week.

And Jeff Balke joins us to discuss developments in Houston sports.
