The Academy of Music and Sound, Scottish Music Centre and the Scottish Alternative Music awards join forces to celebrate three milestone birthdays - 25, 50 and 10 years respectively - by showcasing the musical talent they have helped nurture through their development programmes, full-time courses, showcases and awards.

'The Big Gig', which takes place at Saint Luke's, Glasgow on Thursday 21st November, will showcase rising and established talents such as Melisa Kelly and the Smokin' Crows, Marina Rolink, Cloth, Vandal Palace and Quiche (with more artists to be announced.)

Not only will we have a host of talented acts performing, but we are also joined by our colleagues at the Musicians Union, Help Musicians UK, 23rd Precinct (Resonate) and the Scottish Music Industry Association, with information on their background and what they offer, with more organisations to be confirmed.

Doors will open at 1600 for a two-gig bonanza of music and celebrations held at Saint Luke's, we hope you can join and help us celebrate this momentous occasion! Tickets are priced at £10 with concessions at £5. The event will also be accessible to those aged 14+ (under 16's must be accompanied by an adult).
