You have an exciting, ideal month ahead, and by all estimates, you should be thoroughly invigorated by events that occur now. In the heavens is a buildup of planets in Taurus and Capricorn, earth signs like your Virgo Sun, so you will soon find things start to go your way. Your career is heating up—and I will give you more details on that statement in a minute—so before your professional life starts showing colorful fireworks, see if you can take a thrilling trip to a distant port, one that requires your passport for entry. The May 4 new moon will give you the option to take a truly wonderful trip.

If you could go anywhere, which location would set your heart on fire, dear Virgo? This is the right time to ask yourself that question, especially during a terrific travel month like this one. Don’t assume that any dream would be too big to accomplish—this month the universe will show you it loves you and wants you to have a change of scenery.

As May opens, it is very likely you will be heading to the airport. You might be flying to see a client face-to-face to negotiate an important deal or to do other business, and if so, you may be traveling with a teammate or your boss. After you’ve completed the work and your colleagues have left, see if you can add two extra days to stay in the city you are visiting. Pay to cover the cost of the extra days of accommodations and meals, and you’ll be all set. You need a rest from everyday cares. If you can go with your sweetheart/spouse, that, of course, would be heavenly, and perhaps your partner can join you after you finish your work, over the weekend.

There is no doubt that the May 4 new moon in Taurus at 14 degrees will stir your wanderlust, and a new environment will stimulate and refresh you. Your trip may be spontaneous, so you may decide to go at the last minute. If you go for business, there seems to be money to be made—Pluto, a major financial planet, will be in ideal angle to both the Sun and new moon, and Saturn will be equally friendly. Saturn is the planet of stability and security when in fine aspect like it is now. A new moon opens a door of opportunity for ten days, so act quickly from May 4 to May 14. The energy of a new moon is always strongest in the first days that follow it, so it will be vital that you act decisively.

In addition to travel, this new moon of May 4 would also be the right time to enter into publishing, broadcasting, an Internet-related endeavor, app development, or another project related to the digital world. New moons start things, so there are other possibilities that would fall under your solar ninth house—you can alternatively begin filing immigration papers or ones involving a green card or visa. Academic matters shine too, so if you sent an application to various colleges, early May would be a perfect time to announce the institution of your choice for undergraduate or graduate work.

If your birthday falls on or within five days of September 6, you will benefit the most from the May 4 new moon in Taurus. The same is true if you have Virgo rising or your natal moon in Virgo at 14 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. If you have a natal planet in Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces at 14 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, that planet will be lit up, so you have every reason to be eager and excited to see May’s opportunities unfold.

Your career will remain a big focus for you into the first weeks of May. Mars entered your solar tenth house of honors, awards, and achievements on March 30 and will continue to light up this area of your chart until May 15.

Before I move on, I want to flag a splendid day, May 2, that arrives two days before the new moon of May 4. On that day, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will beam golden rays to your ruling planet, Mercury, and this bodes so well for your income. Mercury is the planet of contracts, publishing, broadcasting, travel, and communication, so this would be a magnificent time to hire an agent to sell your book, to hand in a final manuscript, to travel, or to map out your plans for the launch of your podcast.

May 2 would also be an exceptional day sign a contract. If May 2 is too soon for you to finalize your contract or other paperwork, then I also like May 16 very much, for Mercury will be in sync with Saturn, the planet of long-term commitments. On May 16 you would be building the foundations of your future life, so it’s a day that will add security. As you will see later, the full moon of May 18, plus or minus four days, is the other time you can choose to sign—all remarkably fine days to commit to a venture or relationship you believe in, personally or professionally.

A very electric day for brainstorming ideas with someone you trust (or your entire team) would be May 8, when Mercury will conjoin Uranus! This day will bring you powerful mental energy—you may feel high-strung if you don’t channel it, so direct it in a positive, creative way.

Many Virgos are very focused on home, and if that includes you, great. You’ve waited 12 years to have aspects this spectacular for improving your living quarters, and by June, you will have a very potent full moon to crystalize your plans. You may be buying, selling, or leasing property, moving, doing contracting, or simply a thorough cleaning or paint job.

This month choose to focus on a home-related goal on May 9, one of the sweetest days of the month. Jupiter, the great, good-fortune planet, will see to it that you love the results. Close on your house on this day, choose a new roommate, buy a beautiful piece of furniture or brand-new linens, or choose a decorator and contractor to renovate your kitchen. If you love your home as it is now, you can use this energy to help a parent in a substantial way. This is one of my favorite days of the month for you.

Looking at your professional life, your career will remain a big focus for you into the first weeks of May. Mars entered your solar tenth house of honors, awards, and achievements on March 30 and will continue to light up this area of your chart until May 15.

This is the first time in two years that you have had Mars in this part of your chart to assertively push forward on career goals, and you will find that Mars will help you draw the attention of influential people.

There will be two days that could prove quite significant for your professional progress. The first will come on May 14, when Mars and Venus work together. Mars, as said, has been circulating in your prestigious tenth house career sector, while transiting Venus is now moving through your solar eighth house of other people’s money. That house rules such funds as commissions, royalties, cash advances, licensing fees, venture capital, bank loans, and insurance payouts. May 14 could be a day of triumph in these types of financial matters, so make this day one to schedule a big career meeting that would involve money.

The other special day for career matters will be May 22 when Mars and Uranus cooperate to help you. You may receive very unexpected, joyful news about a career opportunity or victory you score on this day. The transiting moon will be in fellow earth-sign Capricorn, making it easier for you to make a great impression on any VIP you meet with on this magical day, May 22.

All that you do this month is leading you to the important June 3 new moon in your tenth house of fame and honors—the most important moment of 2019 for you. You will make progress this month, and once the new moon arrives, the pieces of your puzzle will fall into place. You can have great aspects, but without the right new moon, things will linger or lag. You will have the perfect professional new moon on June 3, so work toward that date.

By the time you reach the May 18 full moon in Scorpio at 28 degrees, you may want to travel again, but this time, it will be to a place much closer to home. (All full moons are influential for plus or minus four days.) This will be a candy cotton full moon, full of joy and fun, for the full moon will signal Saturn and Pluto in your solar fifth house of truelove. Those same planets, Saturn and Pluto, will also contact the Sun and Mercury in the friendliest, most encouraging way possible. This tells me that if you do go away, you will likely go for personal, possibly romantic, reasons, and not as likely for work. Fun with a sibling, children, or possibly even an in-law could make this weekend special and bring you a needed, happy diversion from everyday cares.

Your solar third house will be lit up by this full moon, so you may be concluding a key deal where you will need to sign a contract. (On the other hand, you may be getting married which is a contract, too—exciting!) This would be another favorable time to sign, for I love this full moon for you.

If your birthday falls on September 20, you will be in a prime position to benefit from this full moon. You will benefit, too, if you have Virgo rising or your natal moon in Virgo, within five degrees of 28 degrees. Additionally, if you have a natal planet in Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn at or within five degrees of 28 degrees, that planet will be lit up and beneficial to you.

Before I go, here is a magical day for love—May 30, when Venus (love) and Neptune (dreams) work together to create a truly enchanted episode you will long remember.

SUMMARY

With such a strong outlook for love, flirt with your partner and do all you can to make the merry month of May a special time for you both. Your partner will be surprised by your playful spirit and will respond in kind. A very sweet day to surprise your partner will be May 30—you have plenty of time to prepare, so think of something unique to do.

It seems likely that you will travel to a distant point, and it also looks like you will be accompanied by someone at work, such as your boss or a teammate, to call on a client at a distant city. With the theme of partnership strong, going with a collaborator from work or, if for pleasure, with your romantic partner or spouse, will ensure the success of your trip.

By the full moon, May 18, plus or minus four days, you may be finishing up another, shorter trip, and this one seems purely personal and fun.

Still, at the same time, within four days of May 18, you may receive final approval for a creative idea. If you are given a contact near this full moon, and your lawyer has given you the green light, by all means go ahead and sign. If you need to sign earlier, sign when Mercury and Jupiter are in sync, May 2, a perfect day for a successful collaboration, or on May 16, when promises made will last a long time, possibly forever.

Mars has been preparing you for a big role in your career since March 30 when it entered Gemini for the first time in two years. Mars is currently working hard to raise your profile in your industry, and this month you may be given enviable publicity or uncover a brilliant opportunity to move ahead as a result of your reputation and experience.

Mars will lay the groundwork for more career success after the important new moon appears next month on June 3, which will help you see the reward you have long deserved. For now, Mars in Gemini will give you the energy, motivation, and perseverance that you will need to effectively pitch your new position or have an idea you are passionate about approved. A perfect day to have a successful interview for a new job or with the press will be May 14.

You have several sterling days in store in May. First, circle May 2, when your ruling planet, Mercury, will work closely with Jupiter, making it an ideal day to devote to home-related matters, such as to close on a house, lease an apartment, or buy new furniture.

Another home-related day that will shine brightly will be May 9, when Venus and Jupiter will work together. This is an ideal day for choosing furniture or colors, countertops, tiles, or another element to beautify your home décor.

On May 8, you may spontaneously hear from a client, friend, or relative from a distant point, for Mercury will be in sync with Uranus. This day would also be the perfect day to brainstorm for ideas with a person you trust and designate as a sounding board.
