Journal entry by Jim Stringer —
Dana and I just got home from a series of appointments at MD Anderson. Among other tests on Thursday, I had a CT scan of my abdomen & pelvis. I'll have one of these ever six weeks or so. On Friday, I had an appointment with my Doctor to talk about how things are going. In this case, so GOOD NEWS!!! I don't want to overplay this, but she said that the CT Scan from Thursday showed "measurable decrease" in the size of the tumor(s). This is far from "the tumors are gone", or "Instead of tumors, you now have a trove of gold coins in your midsection", but still, these are the best words we've heard in several months. We are, of course, just continuing as before -- pills and infusions -- and hoping for more good news like this.
Due to continuing fatigue, gigs are still limited to just a few. Keep an eye on the facebook page for schedule (or www.jimstringer.us).
I'll try to let everyone know as soon as there is anything to know.
Love to all and thank goodness for MD Anderson!!!!
