Lions Place FB Nick Bawden On Injured Reserve, Activate DE Austin Bryant

The Lions announced on Wednesday they have placed FB Nick Bawden on injured reserve and activated fourth-round rookie DE Austin Bryant to take his place.

Bawden, 23, was selected by the Lions in the seventh round out of San Diego State in 2018. He’s in the second year of a four-year, $2.5 million rookie deal.

Bawden’s rookie season also ended with him on injured reserve after he suffered a torn ACL.

In 2019, Bawden has appeared in 10 games for the Lions and caught four passes for 17 yards. He’s rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 15 fullback out of 15 qualifying players.
