Premedicine & Professional Health Careers
Take the classes you need to prepare for a career change to the healthcare field. Professional health careers programs allow college graduates to take undergraduate science courses to prepare for application to schools of medicine and related professions (dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, osteopathy, podiatry). Additional concentrations are offered in clinical psychology, nursing, physical therapy, physician assistant and prespeech pathology. These programs are for students who have a bachelor's degree but have not completed or have never taken the courses generally required for admission to these schools.

Michelle Karin Desjardins

I was well-prepared for the MCAT exam and the rigors of medical school by the challenging curriculum of Northwestern’s premedicine program. I believe that Northwestern gave me a significant advantage when applying to medical schools and helped me gain acceptance to my top-choice schools.”
